Only 2 Korean acts so far have made me tear up during some kind of performance. Loona and IU. Eight and celebrity hit me at times when I was going through a very very very hard time. IU will always hold a special place in my heart. Such a generational talent. And I don't mean kpop generations. I mean lifetime. Her voice is unique. It is hers and only hers. No one else sounds like her. And her voice is sublime.

Chatshire is her first self produced album, and after that, she takes self-control of her own music career. 2023 is her 15th debut anniversary.

She had rhinitis when she did this so if anything sounds off, that's why. She's been my number one soloist since 2015. Her 2013 Modern Day album totally one me over and yes Friday was on that one. I played that for over two weeks non-stop.
She blew up way before 23! For this killing voice the theme was songs from her 20s because it coincided with the release of her album Lilac which celebrated beginning her 30s. She actually blew up with the Korean GP in her teen years and was known as the Nation's Little Sister but she didn't sing any of her early songs here. She debuted in 2008, same as SHINee, but the earliest song here was from 2011! However the Chat-shire album was when she really won respect as a lyricist and songwriter as well as a singer, which is why, along with her success in acting, that she is recognised as an Artist rather than just an Idol.
