      Caitlin Clark is a ROOKIE. She has PLENTY of time to be in the LIMELIGHT for years to come. WHY force it????

    • @Mandownsports
      @Mandownsports Месяц назад

      @marcelluswileydatdude here's the net of it, Caitlin elevated the WNBA based on her play IN COLLEGE and the media elevated her to the top of the league as a player and the players understand she was not gonna be the best, they were motivated to prove it and the media got mad because they weren't able to give her the MJ, Tiger, Serena or TB12 treatment. They accused everyone of jealousy and that started the tension. Caitlin's play on yhe court early on didn't give the media enough ammo to go the war until after the Olympic break and Shannon is back for revenge on every female that didn't agree with him months. But Andrea is right, the arguement was never about if Caitlin was or would be good, it was about if she should be on the Olympic team for marketing and if the females that played tough defense or said she would have to adjust were jealous. Shannon and SAS are playing a dirty game right now

      You're not wrong.....But it's more than that. All the talk....Love...Hate... for Kaitlyn Clark the last 3yrs. I've yet to see any Media actually discuss and dissect Why Clark captured the imagination of her Fandom. She was not a #1 recruit out of H.S. She was a Iowa prep star but was not even recruited by UCONN.
      The UCONN Stars during their 20 yr run (2000 - 2020) Ten 'Chips 4 in a row
      They put out 4 or 5 White Superstars but they never helped Generate Heat for the WNBA not even the NCAA women really...so what's different about Kaitlyn??? It's more than being white
      imo it helped that she played a lot like Steph... long range gunner...clutch shooter....RIVALRY with Black Team...She was seen as leader of underdog Team (a la Larry Bird and Indiana State) Most important...It was just her time.

The saddest thing is to see these older players as threatened as they are. If you are truly great you love making others greater than yourself. And they should want to see the sport they claim to love grow. It shows me that they don’t love and never did love the sport, they loved and still love the attention they got from the sport. They played for the personal recognition, not for love of the game. The truly great are not threatened by the greatness of others. When Jordan was getting all these endorsements and deals, was anyone crying and complaining about the fact that no one was giving this type of attention to David Thompson or Connie Hawkins? No. Was anyone complaining that there was no Nike Air Archibalds? No. Why? Because like the WNBA, the NBA was damn near irrelevant before Magic, Bird and Michael hit the scene and revolutionized the game. But somehow these women like Monica McNutt think that just because they're women, they should all share equally in the attention Caitlin Clark is responsible for bringing. GTFOH

Women can't help but bring women down we're seeing it in the WNBA and in politics. Look at politics they'll try tear down everything all the women who came before them fought so hard for they can have the rights they do today and then what do they do? They go ahead and side and or vote for people who want to roll those rights back and then cry foul when they are put in a life and death situation and blame the rest of the world for the problems they created for themselves.

We need men like these to put them in their place just like Shannon & Stephen A are doing. It’s about damn time. Too many people just sit there and get walked on by these WNBA players.
