- I'm back building another underwater structure! This one will float above the water too and it's more of a cozy modern home than a sci-fi, futuristic base! I hope you enjoy and maybe you get some inspiration to create your own fun, underwater home with a pretty coral reef view :)

I'm sure plenty of other people have answered but the coral isn't glowing it's the sea pickles that glow so if you add more sea pickles there will be more light

As for the glass panes being, well, a pain, it’s a feature called “waterlogging”, which enables you to fill blocks like glass panes, slabs, etc. to be filled with water. To get rid of it, go in a line with an empty bucked starting with the top line, then work your way down. This should get rid of the water

When she was talking about the glass panes letting water in I thought it was about when water just kinda gets to the other side of certain blocks but then it literally started flooding xD it was kinda funny

I would love to see you experiment with other blocks in the future, like stones, terracotta, different glass colors, and such :D maybe with a more "fantasy-like" building or some more old fashioned houses

What about a skybase/tower/sky island build? Since you've done underground, underwater and tree houses, maybe up in the sky is the next frontier?
The glass pane and water issue is because the glass panes were "waterlogged" which meant they were behaving as source blocks of water. You could have had dry glass panes but there would have been an gap between the pane and the edge of water in the adjacent block, which would probably have looked weird, so full blocks is probably the best option either way.
Waterlogging was added as a mechanic in 1.13.
The sea cucumbers in choral reeds are what glow :)

For the glowing coral: as far as I remember, there isn’t any coral blocks that glow, What makes them look like they are glowing is Sea Pickles, which are often on top of coral. Sea Pickles emit light in the water, but not on land. ALSO: you can have up to 4 sea pickles in one block, and the more you have in a block, the brighter the light is.
This is cool, though I think I should wait 'til later tonight to watch the rest of it, as I almost fell asleep once in the first seven minutes, and I have things I still need to do today!

The sea pickle makes the coral glow
The “glowing coral” are actually sea pickles! :)
To see better underwater you can use a night vision potion, and for the glowing corals you need to add sea pickles because that’s what makes it glow!! If it’s getting dark because it’s night just type in chat “/time set day” you don’t need to go to sleep. I hope that helped :)

I imagine the glowing coral uses the command-required light block. I don’t know if it exists in PC version but in bedrock /give @s light_block (Amount [I believe]) (Light Level [1-15] [I Believe]). The light block won’t get rid of the water but basically changes the light level and a block cannot be placed in its spot.

Ayo!! The glowing coral mistery has been solved but if you ever need a block but you don't know the name of it, just click on it with the mouse wheel, it will give it to you automatically :D it also helps if you lose one while building.

yeah i’ve always hated the fact that there’s no 3x2 painting in minecraft. just a tip, if you use banners with gradients and other patterns and put three of them side by side it looks like cool custom wall art. unfortunately doesn’t give the flat screen TV illusion of a painting though if that’s what you were going for
