Bless Jack's heart, he's so awkward but trying to be confident with what he's saying, I relate on such a personal level. Jack you're awesome man, never stop being you!
I really love that Bo made it a point to ask for questions directed toward the young actors. So thoughtful and cool. Like he's kind of being a mentor for kids that are coming up on the age that he got famous.
I have watch a lot of these with Bo and Elsie, both of whom I adore! Jake Ryan, I only saw in the movie. He is like an embryonic Dustin Hoffman. How can you not adore him? Makes me feel better because there are human beings like this!
I find it interesting that the initial pitch was to name Eighth Grade "The Coolest Girl in the World" presumably showing that Kayla is in fact not and then he calls the actress who plays her the same thing
Qoob chip Barry Lyndon is genuinely my favorite movie. I go to film school, I don’t know a single person who isn’t an instructor who has seen it. Even Kubrick die-hards haven’t seen it from my experience. I honestly think people laughed there because of the way Bo said the sentence-to a complete comedic effect. Also shout-out to my other favorite movies for no reason (nobody cares): Three Colors: Blue, There Will Be Blood, Eternal SOTS Mind, and Yi Yi. Fo shi shi.
First interview that I saw Jake take part in, Elsie and BO did a lot of them. Bo really did interviews the most, I guess promoting the movie himself because it was an independant. I thought I'd seen them all, but this one is really good, more input from the younger set. Well done.
jake’s performance in the movie was SO FUCKING REAL

HE'S famous? Never heard of him before.
this is my first year of high school, and this movie’s depiction of 8th grade could not have been more accurate.
Right

Elsie said "truly"...
She's learning.
Jake Ryan 1) has a fantastic name, and 2) is funny in a "that shouldn't be as funny as it is" way
Sixteen Candles?
I find it interesting that the initial pitch was to name Eighth Grade "The Coolest Girl in the World" presumably showing that Kayla is in fact not and then he calls the actress who plays her the same thing

Bo is literally an angel
It's funny how Bo mentioned Barry Lyndon seeing how this film (and even Inside) had a lot zooming in and out shots much like a lot of Kubick films.
I love these crazy kids
the kid at 5:05 will never forget this
It's Bo, yo.
Is there something wrong with Jake? He comes across to me as from the same mold as Jesse Eisenberg and Michael Cera.
Gabe is a fuckin legend
Where are the deleted scenes?
