Android has many different views.
You have first person and third person.
If your viewing someone when you're not on VR, and you move backwards you can move freely around that person.
But if you move forwards you get their view or if you're in third person you get their third person.
You can change that using the gear icon in the mobile app.

I think it's the difference in phones. I have an iphone se and a samsung note. The samsung looks better than the iphone on its regular display.

Without putting your headset on, boot up the Yeeps app. You should be able to hear any lobby your camera is in. If you can't, adjust you phone until you can. Usually the app is turned down, sometimes the phone is on silent. Once you can hear the lobby, you'll be able to record with sound.
