Forbidden Peak - North Ridge

Fred Beckey wrote of the North Ridge route "It is perhaps one of the most alpine routes in the United States: a half-mile narrow and very jagged rock crest sweeps up to the pointed summit, and on both sides is relentless exposure” (AAJ 1953)."
Not sure about the half mile part though. A straight line its about a mile and a half and my watch clocked it at over 2 miles with all the zig zagging. But about a half mile of it is pretty relentless exposure for sure.
