On my ecommerce site I use RUclips videos from the manufacturer on certain custom built product pages. Thought I would give this a try to see what happens and it doubled my PageSpeed Insight score on both desktop and mobile and cut around 1.2 seconds off the speed index. This is with the FREE version of the plugin, so this is absolutely fantastic and I'll be keeping it installed! My only improvement request would be an option to show the RUclips video title before play is clicked, but this is not the end of the world as I can add a title above the player.

Something does not work :/ Video is not visible on front-end. I can see it in "preview" mode but after the page update is not visible on that page. Any Ideas? I am using Elementor Pro and video has been added to HUB.

It would be a nice feature (even if only under Pro) you could add additional RUclips channel ID in the Integrations section as one of our company has 2 channels for their business and showing videos from these 2 channels on their website. That way when ever people click on the subscribe button they subscribe the channel related to the video their watching. Maybe we're not a typical use case either.
Hi Nice plugin and do exactly what has been said. But there is a little improvement needed. Lighthouse shows this error "Does not use passive listeners to improve scrolling performance". Hope to see a fix for this soon.

For that option, you need to add the image to the player. So what will happen is, when someone visits your website, the RUclips player won't load until they click play. Instead it will show the local image.

Unfortunately the instructions do not match word press 6.0. Would appreciate details for 6.0 cause the step by step doesn't work I have activated presto and it is on my Wordpress side bar. Am I using Backend Editor or Front end Editor or Gutenberg or none of those? can't find - "Insert after" - can't find the + so unable to use the "RUclips presto video" etc..... Apparently editing in Wordpress 6.0 is a different configuration. If u can give me guidance I would be greatly appreciative. Looks like an awesome plugin and hope with your help that I can use it. I added the presto player to my wordpress site today. The video sits on the page full width. I've tried to reduce the size using the wordpress two options available, but it makes no difference. All I want is a small sized screen to show the video. Sadly, I've had to delete presto player as it will not configure / resize to fit my site properly.
This is not a Presto Player issue, its how you have your layout setup. Any piece of content will site full width unless you place it inside of a container to constrain the width. This goes for all content blocks.
Gutenberg for the test since based on the assumption that most videos would be in blog posts which would be made using the block builder. But Presto Player has an Elementor module.
I installed the plugin to my wordpress(Optimizepress) web site and used it on one of my posts with 7 RUclips Videos, however the load time didn't change for some reason. I must be doing something wrong. Page Speed Insights (LightHouse) still showed You Tube loading initially for multiple seconds just like before I installed the plugin. Any ideas?

I just benchmark my kadence theme gutenberg site with video pop-up block and three youtube videos. It only loaded 84,2 KB of javascript. *Unconfirmed if it is only JS from the youtube videos.

However I didn’t have the same success on our client’s multi-site. The plugin installed & activated on the multi-site network, however it broke the site by not loading all images. I want to continue to use the plugin, Q: is the FREE version not multisite compatible? I couldn’t locate any support for the plugin unless I was a pro user? Grateful for any feedback.
Using a CDN (Cloudflare with Ezoic) we found that more than just the video player was not working. When testing with the free plugin, we found that the rest of the post was not displayed as soon as it tried to render the Preso Player block. Any advice would be appreciated.
hey, it sounded too good to be true. firstly thanks for the amazing tutorial and plugin. but unfortunately it doesnt play my youtube short videos, that i am only using for my recips on my website, that are vertical. before on youtube emb i changed the ratio in the html and managed to display it correctly, but with this plugin there is no way to change the format, and nothing is playing. would have been too good if this would have worked. is this something, that can be done in future, perhaps?

When I added the first video to my post, and used the youtube optimized option, the video comes greyed out so there's no video image even though the video can still be played. Any time you add a RUclips video to your website, RUclips loads its player. But in Presto Player there is an option to optimize that so the player only loads if the person clicks play. You must not have that option enabled like I am showing in the video.
Love your videos Adam, just tried the Presto player on a divi theme site and got an error when trying to add a youtube video to the Media Hub. the error was, 'Publishing Failed. No route was found matching the url and request method.' I tried several youtube videos and copied and pasted the url for each with the same result. The same problem. I found out that OptiMole css & js have a issue with it.

I'll add this to our feature requests. We could add it as a preset option and Pro users can create custom presets.

You can use Presto Player to have multiple videos on a single page. We will be adding in a video gallery this year.
I don't use Block Editor, if you can make it compatible with the classic editor that would be amazing!
You can use Presto Player in the classic editor. Simply create you video in our media hub.

Yes you can.
In Elementor only the widget Presto Player with the option open Choose A Video. Not possible to add youtube or vimeo.

OLS is fine, but it must be a setting you have enabled in their caching performance plugin.
