For that, that you say you're not a modeler your results are more than well. Very nice work with the Panzer III with different barrel variants.
A cool set which looks good. Such a kit is the right thing if many tanks would be needed in a short time.
Best wishes and a good time, Dom. Joachim

They look awesome, and as you say a great kit. I normallybgetbthe starter sets ratherbthan the platoon boxes as they work out far cheaper - the Kesserine Starter is brilliant for Pz 3 and 4's plus you get a load of US/British tanks. If you get time at CrackCon 4 come and throw some dice on the Flames of War table :)

Yep, I picked up the Kasserine box for use with Battlegroup. $58 US for all those vehicles (a single box of Panzer III's is $45 US) Sell off some spares and you get tanks for free. Tons of Panzer III's and IV's in that box. Some useful 50mm's, and plenty of lend-lease stuff to use for my Soviets. Battlefront makes nice kits, but their starter and army boxes make all of their other products look absolutely absurd by comparison (price-wise).

yes the box deals are great value. I bought the later war German battlegroup initially and have then bought additional sets to allow me to expand back to earlier war

yes agreed they are good value although if you dont play Flames of War you can find that you get far too many of some vehicles, but as you say you can sell them on

Good stuff Dom. They turned out great and I agree the BF plastic kits are lovely to build. The hardest part is choosing the variant... Also, the word nincompoop isn't used enough these days.

So what ruleset would you recommend for skirmish level, low model count, and low cost? I can live without tanks but it would be nice if a vehicle could be included.

Thats a very good question. You might want to check out 0200... is a skirmish game played with very few models in the style of those classic war movies. I like Bolt Action very much although it isnt exactly a skirmish game but it relatively light on minis and you can use vehicles. Its an interesting question so I have asked my community what they recommend and I'll update this!

Nice looking kit. Does it make up for that awful BA Italian one? 😊
