I'm a total newbie but finally set up my first presearch node yesterday via UpCloud. I want to set up 4 more but I'm having trouble seeing my node on my dashboard. I think I'm doing something wrong with connecting to it. Any advice?

It would be nice if you make a video just on all the coins on which you are running a node and do a comparative analysis between them.

Great to see you're still PRE bullish. I've been happy running 5 nodes (1 Pi, 4 VPS), but I've not been pleased with PRE on FLUX. At least 1 of my 4 nodes goes down daily, and while a new node comes right up, it's a new node so 1) I lose my Reliability score and 2) if the minimum stake or node caps kick in I'll be screwed. I run a Flux node too, so I know they can go down, and while I want to see Flux kill it, I will be migrating off it to a VPS ASAP having seen this. Somethings to keep in mind for anyone looking at Flux option.
Question when u create a vps and pay for 1 month u must pay every month again ??
And if the month expired and u don't rebuy ur nodes dissappear???

Go to FluxOS > Apps > Global Apps > then look to the right and choose the My Apps tab > click the red Manage button > update Specifications > Compute Update Message > Sign in with Zelcore > Open Zelcore -> Enter Pin > Sign and send > Update Flux App > Pay with Zelcore > Open Zelcore > Proceed to Pay > Enter Pin > Send

Thanks for sharing. Yeah I think running Pre on Flux is a bust. Hopefully they figure it all out, but I'll keep using upcloud and racknerd.

so after watching your videos on Presearch i set up an account and daily performed searches getting my Pre up to 330 only today I receive a notice that my balance is zero they lied and said i broke terms of service. and the only thing that pops up with presearch on my account now is the same notice wanting me to accept the new deal by clicking a box and accepting the lie.
Good informative video Andy! Do you have to have a VPS server for each presearch node, or one VPS server is enough for all your future nodes?
Pretty sure it needs one IP each
Uses one VPS per node. He uses Upcloud for majority.

Great video, one question, do you need a new vps for each node or can all your nodes run on 1 vps?

@@YourFriendAndy Thanks, probably best to run some Virtual Machines on the VPS to cut down on cost.
I have my nodes running on rack nerd, does this mean my PC doesn't actually need to be on for them to be online? Its linked up to an ETCMC mining box which is on all the time anyway but just interested.
2024: Seems Pre Tokens are going deeper and deeper each day...Is still worth it continue running nodes?
Very keen to get a sense of your input costs ito of your VM costs. Are you subsidizing the cost?
My nodes make more than the VPS cost... but really I don't think about it and I definitely don't sell to cover costs. I just view the VPS cost as part of my acquisition cost each month and I hold all my PRE>

Hey Andy, I was wondering if it was 1) feasible to run both a Flux and Presearch Node on the same VPS and 2) if it would be worthwhile to do it? I was trying to do it earlier today, but the Presearch Node keeps getting bumped offline.
i've looked into this, can't. fluxOS is super greedy and cuts off presearch resource usage
@@hiroshihyde2924 How about mining SCP & MYSTERIUM are they power hungry ? I see some YT people mining thise too with Honeygain but I know honeygain is a power hungry too. Nerdy Dude Stuff uses a Zotac mini pc for mining those 3 but no updates yet.

How long have they been running? It takes weeks for the reliability score to go up. It's slow.

I have 10 PRE nodes. For the first time ever I'm trying to withdraw some PREs. I'm now waiting since Monday of this week and the website still shows "Waiting for manual review"... Anybody here with a similar experience?

currently PRE Token is worth 0.02$ ... 1$ for PREUSD... not in this century... a specially that functionality of that engine is far far away behind uncle google...
Wouldn't running a node on vps or the cloud be the same as what strongblock does? Referring to which nodes are "real" vs "fake", def need other options to Google

Doesn't make it a literal ponzi scheme, seems like you misunderstand the nuances. But sure, if they rug or never can produce a product or other revenue then sure but it is still early, btw any fiat ponzi scheme, organizations, legal pomzi schemes, at this point it can be applied to anything because everyone makes money off someone else
@@jorwegs well flux gets the money from those who want to run an app and pays node runners. Gala games sells nft's, in game products ecc ecc and pays node runners. Strongblock simply gets your money and gives them to those who entered before you hoping there will be always more people getting in or compounding.
but the main difference is, as you said, the fact that flux,presearch,gala games have an actual business while strongblock doesn't

No that's not true. You can't lose it because you stop using Presearch. Once it's yours, it's yours.

Presearch is a great idea but the interface sucks, is not in any way research friendly. UI needs a makeover.
But hoping for the best, I am running a dozen nodes.
I've thought the UI was good. What don't you like about it?
@@YourFriendAndy I do a lot of research for my jobs. I don't like wasted space. I don't need to have 8 icons floating on the left sidebar that add nothing to my search, and I don't need a low level and random explanation of my search terms in the right sidebar. Meanwhile the text in the center, actually containing my search results, is granted 1/3 of the screen. I like my results to be front and center. I'd rather have more details about each returned link, than having two useless sidebars.

Obvious scam my advice is read as much as possible trust no one and if something sounds too good to be true. It probably is. Also sleep money club is your best bet, andy is super busy and I can't imagine he would take on random ppl on RUclips for a personal mentorship. I'd he did it would probably cost a ton of doe
Andy, not happy with the way you explained your "earnings" you mention you made 11,000 PRE tokens NET, which although is true, doesn't take into account that PRE was 0.35$ 6 months ago and now is 0.06$ so surely, you are a BIG L on this one right now? Do you get paid a fee to promote this? Or was it just an oversight to talk about tokens earned rather than how much money you are currently down - of course in 2,3,6 months that could be very different and you could be on a huge profit, but with how things are in the node space right now, i would say that is optimistic thinking at best. Overall love you stuff, so look forward to hearing back on my points here.

I have lots of projects that have massive dips, but I've be interested in long-term and they have worked out great. The ENTIRE market is really terrible right now. PRE is down, but so is EVERYthing else. How can I call it a big loss when I really think this project has massive potential and it would also be unfair to judge it based on today's price? I'm thinking years into the future. I don't care about price today. All I care about is getting more tokens. So it's been a massive success IMO. Appreciate you watching/commenting!
@@YourFriendAndy Hi Andy, appreciate you taking the time to reply. 100% agree with you that the whole market is down (badly) my point was simply that although you may have more PRE tokens than you paid for that, the price per token has dropped dramatically since you bought the tokens and noded up and that your investment would would be worth considerably less than you paid for it. This is usually more relevant in node projects as 99% of the time, when node projects go down, they don't go back up (selling pressure etc) i guess i missed the part where you mentioned USD (will re-watch it tomorrow as it's 3am now) will re-comment once i watched. Andy, based on results would you agree building your own VPS would yield a better return or do you prefer someone else to manage the server and subsidise your costs with other server users? The CHIA miners didn't earn the moon but the dedicates ones should be profitable long term. So I'm curious if you can have one IP address with multiple VPS's or not ? Some VPS companies assign a portion of one server for each account but from what I understand that server can have a lot of VPS accounts & one IP address for all or it is networked.
PRESearch limits you to one node per IP. You need an IP for each node. Racknerd gives you an IP with each instance. Running this by building your own VPS would only be lucrative if you had access to as many IPs as you need.
