A clarification. Greeks do not consider only Italians of the south or only Italians of Greek ancestry as brothers. Greeks love all the Italians. Even ww2 did not affect this relationship. It is a relationship based on mutual respect and it has been strong for thousands of years.

Purtroppo capisco tutto questo da Siciliano è molto triste che le nostre lingue sono in pericolo perché lo stato italiano e soprattutto il periodo fascista volle estirpare tutte le nostre identità. It is not true... Where you find a Greek, you'll find an Albanian near by. In Calabria there are many Arberesh villages as well. Some of them moved from Albania after the Ottoman occupation, but others moved from Peloponesse way before that. We are more alike than we like to admit.
