Im so excited. Finally, its completed. This layout is a 15 plus year in the making. Its 36 x 14 , 3 levels (1st level storage ) all connected by a helix with a double mainline. The early ideas was to recreate early America transition from steam to 1st generation diesel. Routes connecting the East coast and inward towards the Appalachian Mountains. The plan was to build a layout that can provide a visual of how the railroad works combining both past and evolving tech . Although the accuracy may need explaining theres alot on this layout that ive seen today which still haven't changed. Members changed as well as tech. At one point , the layout was rigged for dual applications of both DC & DCC since DCC was in its infant stage. Many members couldnt find the necessary components to convert their trains to DCC. We worked & played fueled by youthfulness vigor for the craft. At the time of my service, the museum had 4 layouts: HO, HOn3,N, and O scale. Later we added LGB to attract all modelers. The HOn3 was. In my opinion, was the best. Prior to my arrival , members of the scale replicated 1800 logging on 2 levels, painted a 3d Muriel on the wall , special lighting to mimic all lighting from broad daylight to dusk , to a full moon. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. So much so, that a school nearby with a photograghy class often brought their students to practice and study the craft. Note: The museum is located at the Deerfield Beach Amtrak Station in Deerfield Beach,Florida. Its in the freight (rear) portion of the station. You can take TriRail to here. Im glad to see my work survived.
Great layout. Very realistic. One thing I would add, unless this is not set in the modern day, is the graffiti on the box cars😊. Nobody dares to do that, but they should if in fact trying to replicate today’s trains.
Realism abounds here! I truly admire the running equipment on this fabulous layout. Keep up the amazing work. 👌

Thanks for watching!
Excellent!
Perfect work!👍👏🚉
Thank you for the video. Is it possible to avoid human noise in the videos? Maybe some kind of microphone setup while filming?
Super
Thanks!
Very nice layout and camera work. Too bad the loudmouths, in the background, had to ruin it! Same people who go to airshows and movies, I guess!

That loud mouth in the background is annoying.
There's one in every club. otherwise, nice layout. Good colors.
The room is open space. You can hear everyone's conversations unless a train is passing.
