    Hello, this is so helpful! So to recap:
    Home treatment (every time I wash my hair - every 2 days for me):
    1. Use pre-shampoo treatment (if you want)
    2. Use acid bonding shampoo. I have a bottle from last year - it doesn’t say sulfate-free?? Is it okay to use that, or do I need to buy one that’s says sulfate-free?
    3. After sulfate free shampoo, use sulfate free conditioner
    4. Use leave in perfecting treatment
    5. *Use salon treatment 2x/month in place of conditioner and perfecting leave-in treatment
    Thanks again!
    P.s.I can’t post a photo of shampoo ingredients, but I don’t see Sodium Laureth Sulfate.. or any sulfate agreements. Must be sulfate free (now called out in the marketing)

      Hi thank you 🥰 Yes, the home treatment is a 4 step system just like you stated and the shampoo is sulfate free so your bottle should be okay to use. You can do the salon treatment as needed based on your hair symptoms(refer to guide in video) and Redken did previously advise me that it is not necessary to do more than 2x/month. Hi! I also have an issue! I have an oily scalp and dry hair. Is this treatment good for my hair? Because everything I use, only makes it heavy , therefore I usually don’t use anything. I also see that you have the extreme bleach recovery treatment, I really need that too! Thank you!

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand 2 года назад +1

      Hi Luisa 👋, have you tried using a sulfate-free clarifying shampoo occasionally or tried any scalp treatments? Do you have bleached hair? My scalp also gets oily pretty quickly so I try to refrain from applying any products such as conditioners, masks, leave-ins etc to the top of my head but I apply everything mid-length to ends so that the rest of my hair can be nourished (unless I am doing a treatment and my roots need to be incorporated).
      Dry hair can be a sign of hair damage. Redken's Acidic Bonding Concentrate line is designed to improve the condition and health of processed hair. If you have processed hair then this treatment may be good for you. It is hard to say because honestly you have to test it out and see if it works for you and how your hair reacts to it. There are so many great products out right now, it's all about finding the ones that are the right fit for you and your hair. Have you seen our video on Olaplex N9 (their newest product)? It may work for you as well as it is very nourishing, reparative, and lightweight and should not give you that heavy feeling you mentioned.
      Moroccanoil has an oily scalp treatment. I personally have not tried it, but it's something you can look into if you are interested and if it doesn't work out you can always return it.
      Kerastase also has a new line, Chroma Absolu which is for color treated hair and it has a sulfate-free lightweight shampoo for fine to medium hair which may work for you as it should not weigh your hair down. Keep us updated on what you try and how it works for you. We would love to hear your hair issue being fixed! 💕

      Hi Claudia thank you 💕 You can use the salon treatment whenever you go to the salon for a service and in between for maintenance to keep your hair feeling good(hopefully!) you can use the home treatment with every wash (the shampoo, conditioner, followed by the leave-in). There is also a new product that is not in this video, the Acidic Bonding Concentrate Intensive Treatment which is a pre-shampoo treatment. So the in-salon treatment is used in place of the conditioner? So conditioner is not needed?

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand 2 года назад +1

      That is correct. During the salon service, after shampooing the stylist determines the need for moisture (for dry hair needing moisture) and/or protein (for damaged hair needing strength) concentrates and then either mixes them together or uses one or the other as a stand alone. The treatment is left on for 5 minutes and then the pH sealer is applied. The moisture concentrate contains 10% glycerin to help replenish moisture and provides nourishment to the hair. It's also going to help seal the cuticle, improve conditioning, and prevent frizz. The protein concentrate contains 9% Cationic + Amino Acids which help to improve strength & provide protein repair. It will also help seal the cuticle, improve conditioning, and adds shine. Therefore, there is no need for the conditioner.

      Hi! Moving forward I would recommend you use Olaplex or K18 during your chemical services as they will help mitigate the damage. You can also do the Redken concentrates treatment in the salon. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. They are all different in their own ways. Olaplex and K18 both have their own separate patents on the technologies they use to repair the hair. You can check out our Olaplex and K18 videos to learn more about this as it would be a lot to explain here haha. The Redken ABC line consists of acidic formulas which contain a high level of bonding ingredients. This is Redken's most concentrated post-salon care regimen. It's going to intensely condition, repair strength, and recreate weak bonds on processed hair types. If you get the Redken line you don't need* to get Olaplex. I have never tried Coco & Eve.. is it good?
      Honestly, if you have never tried any of them I would start with one line such as this Redken one and see if you like it and it works for you. If not, you can always return the product and then move on to the next. I would gradually try all of them and see which one you like more or alternate between the ones you like most. They are all great! All of them will target damage and will help to repair the hair and they are good to maintain the hair in between chemical services. Olaplex has this kit which has everything you need in small sizes so you can test it all out amzn.to/3fYeHVk
      Please let me know what you decide to go with and what your thoughts are once you have tested it out! 💕

I am sorry to hear that you have had such a hard year with your hair. I know how stressful hair loss is...Thank you so much for your well wishes and your support. Hi Terry, I feel your pain! Happy to hear you had less problems using this line as I deal with the combing issue all the time :) Per Redken, you can use them with every wash. However, this is their most concentrated line and it is a bonding care line so it depends on factors such as how often you wash your hair and how much damage it has as you may not necessarily need to use them too often or with every wash. Even after one use, you should be able to see the results which you did and they should last you. Personally, I would alternate this system with another one and see how that works for you. Hi Isabella, since you are using the professional strength moisture concentrate I would use the professional strength pH sealer because it is a concentrated protein treatment for damaged or over processed hair and it features a pH of 3.0-4.0 to help seal the cuticle and lock-in the treatment benefits.

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand 2 года назад +2

      Hi Tomas, thank you for your insight and knowledge. I understand what you are saying as factors like chemical treatments influence the porosity level by weakening the bonds between the cuticle cells. I do have to say despite my hair being bleached, when I perform any porosity test the results are always analyzed as low porosity. My hair also has all of the characteristics of low porosity hair and it performs much better when I use heat for products to penetrate better. Also, I think one of the reasons my hair performed well after these treatments is because of the glycerin as it penetrates the cuticle more easily. Overall, I don't bleach my hair often or use heat and I am regularly deep conditioning. I think all of this is helping to keep my hair strands on the healthier side. I would love to see my hair under a microscope though haha to see the porosity gradient. I will follow your channel! Are you going to be releasing new content? Wishing the best for you 💕

      Hi, which of the products did you use? It is hard to answer because there are so many variables that we do not know. I would suggest you reach out to Redken's consumer care center at 18004235280 where they can better guide you and answer any questions you may have regarding their products. I understand how frustrating it can be that you didn't achieve the results you were expecting but don't give up hope as I am sure there are other products that you can use to help restore your damaged hair. Is your hair damaged from chemical services? Please keep us updated.

      The home treatment consists of the shampoo, conditioner, and the leave-in. You can use the leave-in overnight and there's also a new pre-treatment that is part of the 4 step bonding system which is great. We will release a video on it soon. If you use all 4 steps of the regimen it should help you moisturize and repair your hair :)

    Which one is better Redken Extreme or Acidic Bond?

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand 2 года назад +4

      Hi Alondra, it is difficult to answer your question without assessing your hair and knowing your hair's history. The lines work differently and ultimately it depends on what is best suited for your hair and what you are trying to achieve. The Acidic Bonding Concentrate line is their newest line and has the professional strength concentrates which can be done at the salon. It is considered their strongest strength repair formula. Acidic Bonding Concentrate is a bonding care line that contains a bonding complex technology which has citric acid in it and will help to fortify weakened bonds to improve strength and hairs resiliency after salon bleach or color services. It will be good if you have highly processed hair for repair and intense conditioning. Redken Extreme contains 3 systems which focus on strength repair but the technology is different. The Extreme system contains a strength complex which has protein. It will help to strengthen damaged hair and promote overall hair health. Extreme Length is for breakage prone hair. It has a length fortifying complex which contains biotin and will help to fortify and protect lengths for less breakage. Extreme Bleach Recovery is for bleached, fragile hair. It has a gentle conditioning complex with Centella Asiatica which helps to strengthen and restore hair in between lightening services. Hope this helps you make a better informed decision :)

      Hi Vanessa, specifically which products are you referring to? The home treatment (shampoo, conditioner, leave-in) can be used 2x/week. The professional concentrates do not need to be used that often and can be used once every 2 weeks but it is best to consult with a stylist who can assess the hair for what it needs and make a plan of care as to how often the concentrates need to be used and which ones (one or the other or a mixture of both)

      Hi I hear you! honestly your opinion is what counts and you won’t know until you try them out yourself on your hair. For fine hair I would get the shampoo, spray conditioner and mask to alternate, and leave in. For medium to thick hair, the intensive treatment, shampoo, regular conditioner and mask to alternate, and leave in. I know it’s a lot of products and is costly but you can always start with a few and add on over time if you like them. If you don’t, you can always return the products. It’s good to use an entire line of products together since they were formulated to work with one another. Hope this helps you 💕

    Do conditioners with sulfates even exist? It's weird when they say the conditioner is sulfate free too because why would a conditioner have sulfates?! Also the conditioner had dimethicone but the shampoo is sulfate free... why?

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand Год назад +1

      Hi, yes there are conditioners with sulfates. Based on my research, when sulfates are combined with other molecules to form hair conditioners they can be beneficial and can help make the hair smoother and softer. However, the entire Redken ABC system is sulfate free. The Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo and Conditioner contain the most concentrated level of cleansing and conditioning agents among any range in the Redken portfolio. Fatty alcohols and silicones protect the hair fiber and add extra conditioning and shine. Sulfates are efficient cleansers and they can pull a lot of natural oil from the hair and skin. Using a sulfate free shampoo can be a gentler way to clean the hair. Hope this helps :)
