My 5* were all older books. Perfume by Patrick Suskind, American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis and The Terror by Dan Simmons... I have 136 ratings on goodreads with a 2.81 avg...so I guess I really liked those ones
@@ingerlouise No worries. Perfume, I read in a day though it's definitely not a book for "everyone" I was aware of it mainly because it was apparently Kurt Cobain's favourite book; the protagonist is a misanthropic loner so it makes sense. Very strange book... haven't read anything like it before. Edit: have reserved The Beautiful Indifference at the library.
@@ingerlouise first one you could like. It is classic of modern Japanese literature. Second one is work of political analysis/theory which might not be in your ballpark

@@AminorMorning That’s interesting! Thanks for sharing. I’m really curious about Perfume, I’ll add it to my list.

Only two for me this year
No longer human - by Osamu Dazai
Leviathan and its enemies - Samuel T. Francis
@@drarsen33 Ooh that’s cool! I’ve never heard of either of them
