Being bigger and more conditioned is obviously not what matter anymore, and I'm glad that's the case. Derek has way better waist, shape and lines while being within 5-10% of Hadi's conditioning. Hadi looks like a truck that I used to draw in kindergarten, just a straight rectangle. Worst looking olympia.
As a big fan of classic and slimmer physiques, I find Hadi’s physique to be nauseating lol Considering the judges’ apparent emphasis on symmetry and slimmer waists and de-emphasis on pure size or weight, I don’t find it surprising at all that they would prefer Derek’s remarkably slim, tapered waist over Hadi’s bubble gut. I think it’s against the spirit of bodybuilding to only care about upping steroid dosages and pure mass.. Derek’s physique looks superior, overall, as far as details and overall symmetry. He loses in pure mass in several body parts, including the all-important chest, but I think he simply looks better, in the sense that most people would rather look like Derek than Hadi.
So no one is adressing Derek's suspicious lats? Also Hadi was more conditioned and actually did an ab and thigh, instead of a vacuum. Respectfully, I think he should've won.
If condition is n1 then Breon Shoulda won classic 😂 . You see how that doesn’t make sense ? + Derek was sharper from the back his glutes were fucking DICED
From 2019 to 2021 he's always lost to guys who were significantly worse conditioned than him. In 2022 he brought his worst conditioning to day. Idk how you can conclude that judges ever gave much f*** about Hadi being the most conditioned and giving him the O for it.
I know nothing about this sport and my opinion doesn’t matter but Hadi’s poses are less forward leaning like Derek and it suits his abs and pecs very well. In terms of size and shape I thought hadi won on the front with everything except delts basically. Still unsportsmanlike of Hadi to leave but I think it’s understandable that he thought he should have won
It was splitting hairs for 1st Place; I believe Derek will be a multiple-time champ. Brandon is still a threat under Flu Game. Samson/ Andrew are rising man....
I agree. I’ve also met Derek and hung out with him at a personal level. He seriously is the nicest and most humble person for being in the limelight and being as famous as he is. He is crazy in love with his wife and he is very spiritual. At his heart, he is the man other men should emulate.
It's those high lat insertions V taper is what the judges want and he just doesn't have it unfortunately for him. Every other muscle group is unreal but at the highest level it isn't enough
For me Hadis conditioning and muscle seperation was insane . Derek's physique flows alot better, but I can't get over how soft he looks from the front especially his chest. Overall, it was close. Im happy Derek won but if Hadi won I'd be happy too. Theyre both great for the sport.
True, Derek definitely won back poses (including glutes) but I think Hadi's edge was the hamstrings from behind, and quads from front (especially rectus femoris/vastus medialis)@@darkmatter5262

Great work! Great coverage! Great show, and an amazing year for bodybuilding! Now we’re on to the Arnold and another great year of new possibilities! Hope you’re ready Nick, I sense a lot of change coming.
In Classic, I don't think the other competitors are stopping CBum, but rather pushing him. He looked fantastic. Dino improved tremendously, too. He was trying hard to catch CBum, but didn't do it. This is what competition is all about. Dino CANNOT be upset with himself. He brought a great package. The problem was, CBum brought a better one. One place where Dino could improve, that being his biceps. They just don't look as defined or as peaked as CBum's. I think maybe his conditioning wasn't quite as good as Chris' either. No matter, great competition between the two.
I really hope Andrew Jacked can put it all together and show us something we've never seen. I'm not a huge fan of Derek's physique even though he's clearly world class. I don't find his vacuum pose that aesthetic. Regardless I'm very happy for him. He seems like a quality human being and respect his work ethic and drive. I do think Hadi was the winner but I understand it's all subjective. Great show. 👍🏼💯
The gap between Ramon and Cbum is MUCH smaller than last year. Cbum still had it, but is getting closer and closer. You can arguably say that Ramon won 2 poses this year. Chris will be uncrowned before he retires.
@@rodrigocadima9174 not the point. He’s won 5 straight. His options are to retire before he’s overthrown, or continue to compete until he’s overgrown. For anyone to state he will be overthrown, should realize that’s not some novel thought provoking concept. It’s one of two outcomes. Overthrowing him (ANYONE, not just your hero Ramon) is not impressive.
Happy with everything so far. Keon looked great and it seems they're going shape/structure > conditioning. I like to see that. Chris won, knew that one was coming.
Nick, you are always pointing out bumps and lumps that bodybuilders have. What about those humongous lumps under Derek’s arms, in his upper lats from the front?
I'm loving the Ramon and cbum relationship. If someone can dethrone cbum it will be Ramon he looks so good and honestly I like his physique more cause he has more muscle. Chris is just unstoppable though
Dude, I just got home from a family party, might have had a few shots. But I just wanna say your vids are perfect. You open the world of competitive bodybuilding to people, to get past the PEDs and focus on the sport of it.
All of them are champions and working hard for years to reach this big stage and respecting each other's winning is very nice and makes a champion more popular.
In classic they overlooked Breon who was by far better than Urs…That’s my only issue with classic placings . In open weak from Hadi to leave the stage like that 👎
He was probably upset derek won with those huge tumors on his lats during the front shots after being dragged through the mud for his shoulders. The top 3 was insane I would be happy with any of them winning.
Ramon improved a lot, and if it was someone not so dominating like Chris, maybe he would have won the title. It was a great show this year the Olympia overall. What a great year for bodybuilding fans. It was probably the best edition for open since the surprise win of Shawn Rhoden in 2018, but if we take the classic, mens, open, 212... man, I don't think the Olympia was this exciting since Phil and Kai battles! No joke!
@@its_dey_mate pal, no disrespect but even now we have way too many Brazilian fans completely trashing other athletes here on YT, reddit and on many other platforms. imagine what would happen if Ramon won one day...
That’s a good point. Who have been the recent-past champs? Now Derek, Hadi, Ramy, Brandon, Shawn, and only one of those has managed to win more than a single championship: a big difference from Phil winning 7 in a row.
Dino looks monstrous and well defined in the off season but loses too much weight come contest time. I feel like he's in peak condition when not competing.
Derek really improved for the finals. He somehow managed to come in fuller with a tighter midsection where at prejudging his midsection was slightly spilling over. But he definitely fixed that for finals. Well deserved win
Honestly, it was so close that I could give the benefit of a doubt that maybe Hadi didn't want to break down or be emotional in public. Guy sacrificed a lot to get to that level and lose a close decision? I'll give him the benefit of a doubt he was caught up in the moment.
Der k will be the next CBum. I bet they would of let Hadi win if Cbum didn’t say he was retiring. They need another face and they want Derek to be the face. I mean, the judge explanation on why he won is pretty much a comparison of old Dereck to new Derek. Somehow they forgot to judge the ones in front of them. Lol 😂

If Chris can have a couple years where he doesn't come in with an injury, it won't even be a question imo. Chris having a lat tear and still looking as good as he does is shocking to me
I was a little upset when Hadi did not win seeing his conditioning, but after looking more carefully at each pose. Hadi really only edged out Derek in his chest and core, I feel Derek was just better with every other body part especially the back.
@@Daddy_Bear_722 I agree, but Hadis back was closer to Derek's level, than Derek's front was to Hadis. To my eyes Hadi won, but I'm not calling foul lol. The judges had a tough job this year, both Men presented Mr. Olympia level physiques. Unfortunately there can be only one. Hadis walk off really made me sad though...
@GibDozer1 I can definitely see Hadi taking the W. I understand why he was upset, but you would hope for a little better show of professionalism. But I think to the judge's eyes, Derek having that fullness and absolutely razor-sharp conditioning in his glutes and hamstrings was a more rare and impressive thing to see out of anyone at any Olympia in any given year.
@@Daddy_Bear_722 No doubt, Derek's lower body was insane all the way around. Congrats for Derek. But I think Hadi looks better on many of these shots in terms of detail and separation. 🤷♂️
Hadi just needed a slimmer waist. Derek's V shape is unreal
I think if Derek gets more striations in the chest it would game over for Hadi
Yes he does look better
As a big fan of classic and slimmer physiques, I find Hadi’s physique to be nauseating lol
Considering the judges’ apparent emphasis on symmetry and slimmer waists and de-emphasis on pure size or weight, I don’t find it surprising at all that they would prefer Derek’s remarkably slim, tapered waist over Hadi’s bubble gut.
*Question:*
If Hadi's condition had no importance this year then why did it have the importance since 2019 till 2022 ?!!!!
Exactly. Suddenly the rules change.
What a joke of a sport.
If condition is n1 then Breon Shoulda won classic 😂 . You see how that doesn’t make sense ? + Derek was sharper from the back his glutes were fucking DICED
1 quick question, did u actually the show and u tought that his conditioning is that good? Look at his lowet back. He was holding water
It’s a popularity contest lol
From 2019 to 2021 he's always lost to guys who were significantly worse conditioned than him. In 2022 he brought his worst conditioning to day. Idk how you can conclude that judges ever gave much f*** about Hadi being the most conditioned and giving him the O for it.
I think Ramon is really closing in on bumstead. Not too far off in my opinion.
Better posing and a little more size he will win, once Chris retires lol
His back side is lacking a bit in comparison to Cbum, but everything else, it really seemed hand in hand
I agree. I don't think the gap is very big there anymore.
and a little bit of size in the legs.
@@Aryan-rx9rl little bit? Cbums legs are twice as big. Ramon is gonna need 2-3 years to get to his size
Olympia got their poster boys. If I was Hadi, I would’ve been pissed as well.
It was splitting hairs for 1st Place; I believe Derek will be a multiple-time champ. Brandon is still a threat under Flu Game. Samson/ Andrew are rising man....
Hahaha, he lit just lost to hadi, hadi clearly beat him
Dont foeget the MUTANT
@@chrispal4498He will never win as much as i love him. His shape is just that bad i can't see him be anything but number 2 at his best ever
@@chrispal4498fr, next year’s open class is going to be fucking stacked
Brandon is not a threat is the slightest. Let’s give this up already.
I agree. I’ve also met Derek and hung out with him at a personal level. He seriously is the nicest and most humble person for being in the limelight and being as famous as he is. He is crazy in love with his wife and he is very spiritual. At his heart, he is the man other men should emulate.
Very surprised Wisley Vissers didn’t make top 5 he was incredible. Congrats to Cbum another fantastic win 💪
They have never liked his look. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense but bodybuilding judging never does really make sense
Same, he has the most “classic physique “
@@Sticksandstones292blocky look
It's those high lat insertions V taper is what the judges want and he just doesn't have it unfortunately for him. Every other muscle group is unreal but at the highest level it isn't enough
@@jackkupsch6393I think so too, but oddly enough I think that's what makes his physique so classic. I like it.
Both looked great but Hadi’s most muscular and his leg detail + size looked unbeatable to me. Maybe it was different in person
For me Hadis conditioning and muscle seperation was insane . Derek's physique flows alot better, but I can't get over how soft he looks from the front especially his chest. Overall, it was close. Im happy Derek won but if Hadi won I'd be happy too. Theyre both great for the sport.
I was there Hadi won I talked to some pros there too they thought Hadi won too.
True, Derek definitely won back poses (including glutes) but I think Hadi's edge was the hamstrings from behind, and quads from front (especially rectus femoris/vastus medialis)@@darkmatter5262
Interesting, I was part of the Derek hype leading in but I forgot how good Hadi looked until actually watching the show@@mc4056
It wasn't. I was there. It's the global conflict with Iran supporting the people of Gaza. They had to give Captain America the win over someone who might inspire people who the US might refer to by "the T word."
Congrats Derek...Amazing feat...
Great work! Great coverage! Great show, and an amazing year for bodybuilding! Now we’re on to the Arnold and another great year of new possibilities! Hope you’re ready Nick, I sense a lot of change coming.
Breon was awesome this year he has the best back in bb it might not be the widest but asethec and pleasing to the eye
Great show. 👍🏼💯
Yh do prefer Andrew Jack's physique.
@@burlhorse61 Yes.
@@burlhorse61 Derek just looked a little to squatty for me.
The gap between Ramon and Cbum is MUCH smaller than last year. Cbum still had it, but is getting closer and closer. You can arguably say that Ramon won 2 poses this year. Chris will be uncrowned before he retires.
Not really an accomplishment to unthrown a guy who’s killed you for half a decade
@@Obiamajoyisrmdramon made his pro debut 2years ago buddy 😂
@@rodrigocadima9174 not the point. He’s won 5 straight. His options are to retire before he’s overthrown, or continue to compete until he’s overgrown. For anyone to state he will be overthrown, should realize that’s not some novel thought provoking concept. It’s one of two outcomes. Overthrowing him (ANYONE, not just your hero Ramon) is not impressive.
Greetings from Sri Lanka to you three champs...🎉
Nick would have done very well this year. So sad, but man Derek looked INSANE. So happy for him
Nick woulda won

Derek deserved this win, and every muslim will now blabber that hadi was robbed.
Yep
Said this last year too: Hadi legit looks like a disfigured Oompa Loompa. He should be happy with second.
I’m so relieved the judges are rewarding more than just conditioning because bodybuilding is so much more than being lean
exactly, its a combo of mass muscle , leanness, simitry and many things. i agree.
Oh and lots of oil i guess 😂
Happy with everything so far. Keon looked great and it seems they're going shape/structure > conditioning. I like to see that. Chris won, knew that one was coming.
I think this is probably the worst Mr. Olympia we’ve ever had. Put DEREK’s body next to Coleman or Cutler or Heath . Not even close.
Dereks side and back shots were overwhelming imo. Haven’t seen glutes like that in open since Ronnie!
Really enjoyed this update.. Great job, Nick! Well deserved win for all competitors.. This, by far, was an Olympia for the ages
Chris is just unstoppable though
closest top 3 placings in a while, very curious to see the scorecards of nights 1 and 2
It was close Af😅 I was on the edge of my seat all three looked amazing
You & the Judges think Derek soft upper chest was best, Derek Back & glute takes over Hadi or Samson
So we are now A Mr Glute show
Hadi deserved the win in my opinion but congrats to all winners. Thx for the proper report 🙏🏻
Politics played a role this time around, no offence to the competitors
Exactly my opinion as well
Same
Dude, I just got home from a family party, might have had a few shots. But I just wanna say your vids are perfect. You open the world of competitive bodybuilding to people, to get past the PEDs and focus on the sport of it.
It's not a sport though.
It is. It is, though. @@schmui
@@AZeneki
No it is not. It's a pageant.
All of them are champions and working hard for years to reach this big stage and respecting each other's winning is very nice and makes a champion more popular.
Nick it is not just condition that make hadi look better than derek from the front. This is called muscle maturity. That the reason he should have won
It’s body building, not simply competitive dieting, the age of brick shapes is over
In classic they overlooked Breon who was by far better than Urs…That’s my only issue with classic placings . In open weak from Hadi to leave the stage like that 👎
Yea I thought breone brought a killer package too. Guess they favour structure a lot for classic
Had I got robbed. But shouldn’t have walked off stage.
Breon is being overlooked for quite some time now. He definitely deserved better placing.
@@seanwesterhout4086even if that’s the case stay there show respect to the others , show respect to Derek, he took away Derek’s moment
Classic has nothing to do with being better. They choose the shape they like more.
Well done Nick on the olympia coverage and commentary of the whole event !!! 🏋💪
Great coverage Nick, and congratulations Derek! 👏
He was probably upset derek won with those huge tumors on his lats during the front shots after being dragged through the mud for his shoulders. The top 3 was insane I would be happy with any of them winning.
My prediction before the show:
1. Lunsford
2. Choopan
3. Dauda
4. Jacked
5. Curry
6. Krizo
Fair to say I wasn’t far off 😬
Ramon improved a lot, and if it was someone not so dominating like Chris, maybe he would have won the title. No joke!
I hope Ramon never wins, his fanbase is disgusting.
@@adam-qu6dhThat's not really fair. His fanbase really is delusional, but that's national pride for ya. If he deserves the win, he should get it.
@@its_dey_mate pal, no disrespect but even now we have way too many Brazilian fans completely trashing other athletes here on YT, reddit and on many other platforms. imagine what would happen if Ramon won one day...
@@adam-qu6dh true, dont wanna imagine that
This new era of Olympia is very interesting, all of the top 3 could win. There is no past dominant champs like Phil or Jay
That’s a good point. Who have been the recent-past champs? Now Derek, Hadi, Ramy, Brandon, Shawn, and only one of those has managed to win more than a single championship: a big difference from Phil winning 7 in a row.
Amazing how they ignore Ramon Dino's rise. For the first time Cbum was afraid of losing. You could clearly see it at the finals
Dino looks monstrous and well defined in the off season but loses too much weight come contest time. I feel like he's in peak condition when not competing.
With derek today, i now truly respect Hani, and i can noc comprehend how much Knowledge his coach has... Incredible
Hopefully everything goes well backstage with Hany, Hadi and Derrek....

Nice compact video! Perfect thanks 👌🏻
I was thinking that too. I'm not sure it was disrespect that made him leave.
He shook Derek's hand and hugged him. He also posed with everyone initially.
Lol 😂
I thought it was close. Hodi in my opinion was the best on stage but I'm rooting for Sampson to bring a whole different look next year.
I think hadi deserved the win...this is just politics again :(

If Chris can have a couple years where he doesn't come in with an injury, it won't even be a question imo. Chris having a lat tear and still looking as good as he does is shocking to me
Chris will dominate next year too if he want to. I wish Ramon will win next year cuz he deserves it.
I was a little upset when Hadi did not win seeing his conditioning, but after looking more carefully at each pose. Hadi really only edged out Derek in his chest and core, I feel Derek was just better with every other body part especially the back.
It was a front vs back thing
@@Daddy_Bear_722
I agree, but Hadis back was closer to Derek's level, than Derek's front was to Hadis. To my eyes Hadi won, but I'm not calling foul lol. The judges had a tough job this year, both Men presented Mr. Olympia level physiques. Unfortunately there can be only one. Hadis walk off really made me sad though...
I can't call any of this 😂😂😂😂
@GibDozer1 I can definitely see Hadi taking the W.
@@Daddy_Bear_722
No doubt, Derek's lower body was insane all the way around. The only pose I'd possibly give Hadi over him from the back was rear lat spread, but even there Derek's glutes might put him over the top.
From the front though as great as Derek looked Hadi was nearly flawless. Awesome competition. I know Hadi was upset, but damn smh I hated to see him react that way...
Derek is such a nice lovely man he cared for Hadi's sadness 😢
