    I will NEVER stop watching Bafael bc the way he contextualizes tools is so useful and important, I cannot understand how much better of a player I am in every game I play as a result

    There’s this guy on CFN: ChalcosomaAtlas. The dude is committed to playing Laura VS2/VT2 and gets DESTROYED because of how shitty that setup is. I hope this helps him out.

    That Sway kinda reminds me of Mary's Real Counter in KoF, but that only lets you go into a command grab. This is WAY more bonkers, in a good way

      I was kinda thinking of Naoto’s Shift Sway in BlazBlue but that was a bit of a far cry.

    It's kind of funny watching SF get new things that I've seen for quite awhile in other games that I've played for over a decade. Sway's changes are pretty interesting since you aren't railroaded into a specific followup like Blue Mary, Kliff. or Naoto in KOF, GG, and BB respectively.

    I really wished for Makoto in this game but i feel like Laura kind of fills her gameplay niche in SFV.

    not street fighter, but that type of invuln is very similar to shulk's monado art switch in smash 4/ult (14 s, cancelling them into anything removes them)

    Isn't the invincibility ending as soon as you hit a button similar to hakan's backdash into button while oiled? Or does that not actually work that way

    the sway version invincibilty reminds me of omega mode cody in sf4, down + triple kicks in a way, except that move just gives invuln and theres no direct cancel out of it, making it much harder to use than this imo

    I believe its an improvement, but its a gamble between knowing when 2 use the active v trigger and cancelling into other normals but very effective once inputed precisely

    The dodge originally took meter, then they buffed it so it only used meter when you did the throw, and now they went back to having the dodge cost meter. So it went from being the worst to the worst to the worst. I tried it for a while and just went back to VT1. And VS1 is still basically mandatory for Laura since it gives her better pressure and mix ups while also being her only grounded overhead. No, 6HP isn't an overhead despite how it looks.

    On the one hand, I love the changes to V Trigger 2. But on the other hand, its way more expensive. They should have made some of the actions cost less.
    Character is a mixed bag, love her gameplay though. Kind of like Abel. A hybrid between a mix up character and a grappler.
    Though for proposed buffs, outside of making VT2 cost less, maybe some extra stuff to V-skill 2 and make that active frame buff apply to all thunder claps but thats about it.
    If I was good at gameplay mods, I would try to make my own version of SFV. but then again, mysterious mod exists and its way better than anything I can come up with.

    Getting invincibility without commitment is likely a bug that gets patched out. It's pretty much against SFVs design principles.

      It's obviously intended given the massive trigger timer cost and given it's a change that would be impossible to do on accident.

      I'll have to double check it, but I think only the fireball invincibility transfers, you're still vulnerable to strikes so a late meaty could potentially blow you up... plus this costs you 40% of your V-Time, small consolation, I know.

      @@kevingriffith6011 that's correct, it's only fireball invincibility that transfers. As I said a couple times in the video you start being vulnerable as soon as you hit a button

    Honestly I hope they rework her character. Laura is unironically a very fun character I think it’d be nice to have stay a mainstay. I just wish all her costumes weren’t tna and she didn’t have this weird hyperactive bratty kid personality despite the previously mentioned sex appeal. It’s a very Adon situation. I think the kit is cool and a lot of the grapplers could learn from her and G but i get annoyed from the voice 24/7 and I’d like a design that was different from all her other sexy outfits. Even cammy and Chun, hell even POISON get something that’s more stylish than titillating. This move pool is a lot like C.Viper, it’s a shame to have such an interesting kit attached to such an unenjoyable personality and gaudy design.

      It's what you deal with to play the character though. Abigail is a big screaming retard who makes car noises but I wouldn't have it any other way

      I like Laura because her costumes are so hot. God I wish Brazilians were real. She's been my main for a few months since I've started playing but now I'm trying out Dan.

    holy shit i loved sway before even when it was terrible, and now it has SO much sauce
    I just wish the raw grab wasn't so expensive, and IMO the sway should have remained free and the VT cost loaded into the followup action, so just the raw dodge could still be used without having to consume v-timer
