Called it in season 4, and I'll call it again: Sister Sage's first conversation with Homelander was amplifying his insecurity about his aging, and it was part of the plan from the start to drive him towards pursuing immortality. In order to take V1, he either has to get a needle that can pierce his skin (potentially being a checkovs gun to also infect him with the virus), or somehow make himself temporarily vulnerable enough to use a needle, creating a window of time for sage to have him taken out.

Agreed @miles, last season was HORRIBLE...so bad I couldn't finish it. Just look at the audience score year over year. If I hear good things about it maybe I'll try and suffer thru last season and catch up.

9:30 I think they already confirmed the virus isn’t strong enough. I don’t think the goal is to use the virus to kill Homelander, but to kill off the Supes that comprise his supe army.

Ryan on V1 vs Homelander on V1? It does appear that Homelander gets a V1 injection in the first trailer. The trailer might be misleading though I guess.
I wonder if its a misdirect with what the shot actually does. Wouldnt surprise me if there's some crazy twist with what it actually does but if Ryan does get amped and is the one to take out Homelander it would be poetic.
If you notice the scene with Ryan where his eyes are lit up, its almost dark and in the forest is in the background. I going to guess that Homelander is searching for Ryan in the forest
I think the Soldier Boy scene where he is using his blast power I just think it's Butcher's tentacles and growth he's projecting out to maybe hold onto Soldier Boy or something. Just looks like Butcher's stuff around him.

I think the Soldier Boy scene with the "veiny" stuff is in reference to the scene with Butcher. I bet Butcher has encapsulated Soldier Boy ala Venom, and he is blasting his way out.
When soldier boy confronts butcher, he's charging up his laser when Butchers then throws that car at him. Look at Soldier Boy's chest before the car hits him.
I think Soldier Boy might be fighting Butcher's ejected Brain Tumor. There was a reference in The Boys Diabolical , which is cannon, that a Compound V tumor matures and consciously ejects itself from the host. So Butcher isn't an exception it's just a matter of time. (This is also hinted briefly in Season 4 when Butcher saw the dying Compound V Rabbit). In the spin off an elderly woman managed to survive the Tumor separation and garnered abilities so that likely applies for Butcher. I'm so excited for Season 5 (: !!!!
I be loved this show ever since it started, like I remember hearing rumors about a potential boys series, right in the middle of the superhero franchise box office takeover, like they couldn’t have picked a better time to launch the show

Just finished reading the OG The Boys comics, this season has me on my toes since they definitely changed a lot of ways from the comics
The ending will be different, but there will be a lot of references to comic book moments.
I read it all just before season one. It was so good, it almost ruined comics for me.
