As a long time Simutrans player I love that you added passengers to industries. I like the interactions with towns that your grf creates. When it comes to waste I'd rather see recycled plastic, paper and steel instead of generic recycled waste. Keep on going with it.

This video shows the original ITI, currently available as "ITI Classic". I've actually completely rewritten it, with new production mechanics and split recycled cargos to exactly what you describe. The new version is available in-game as Improved Town Industries. I wrote a README with more information on its GitHub page: github.com/2talltyler/improved_town_industries
