I am curios if Wedding video 2, which is quite amazing actually was all shot on the FX30? Even the dance scenes? Or did you inter mix FX3 videos in that wedding? Thanks, looks awesome and hope you say it was all FX30...LOL
I am curios if anybody thinks the quality is the same or even better than the A7IV in crop mode 60p 4K, I had the FX3 and sold it in the pandemic bc everything shut down and I got more Photo jobs in my house. For the last 2 years I have been back to video 100% and have been filming with the A7IV and actually love it but the overheating is not good. So I am thinking about getting the FX30 and just wondering if anybody thinks it is at least as good as the A7IV? I shoot 99% in 4K 60p which is cropped which would be the same as the A7IV. I do not care about 120p and just want a good video camera that does not over heat. Thanks for any "professional" opinions or personal experience. Thank you. Your videos looks quite sharp and good. I would like to get the Fx30 until I see what the future FX3II might have to offer. I will have the A7IV for back up if I need. I also do not shoot much low light either...
Hi Jonah, love your compositions and grading! Had a couple of questions. Do you use a Polariser? Read couple of your comments mentioning you added diffusion in post. How is it different from using a mist filter? Is it better or convenient? I plan on using ND filters and don't want to be stacking on too many filters, so I was leaning toward adding diffusion in post. Wanted to know your thoughts. Thanks.
If you want AF - Sigma Contemporary primes. Cine lens - 7Artisans Vision series, Sirui Nightwalker series. You'll have to choose the focal lengths for yourself.
I love my FX30 with my Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 and the Sigma f1.4 trio...but the battery life is not excellent..hmm...I have 6 original Sony batteries and I could easily use 5 on a wedding shoot so I recharge them on location. I don't let them run to zero charge but low enough .what can it be done to improve the battery if anything? I may get a second one this year. Of course the darling is thge FX3 but it would cost me too much to get into that with a good lens...PS I like this "vintage" look you get...what's the secret sauce? Hi from Toronto. Oh wow! A v-mount battery could be a decent option. I guess it all depends on how much you're filming throughout the day. Regarding the vintage look- a mix of my luts as well as diffusion either in post or using mist filters. Thanks for watching!

Thank you! I now prefer adding diffusion in post as it provides way more control but I still always use a vnd when filming
