@@daltondaily1540 the parries are the only thing that carried me through the battle. Sucked for 2 hours on that mofo, but then I somehow managed to make a beautiful parry streak (6-7 in a row) and finally got him. Was like 20-25 lvl, started as a wretch.
By the way, when enemies randomly have those glowing gold eyes that sparkle, it means they will drop 5x the normal amount of souls if you kill them. I think most mobs in the game can spawn like that

The best I to fight him I found is to parry his everything. Don't even try to hit him, just parry and critickal. He very rarely uses tail attack after standing up and all his attacks are so telgraphed that you have time enough to decide whether to jump or parry. Just pay attention to his left foot to see if he's gonna stomp, and jump it. Took me 5 hours of practice to get anywhere close to winning, but damn it feels good knocking him on his ass over and over again without moving a single step.

Crucible Knight is absolutely insane. Crazy reach, crazy damage, almost unbreakable poise and immunity to most status effects. I beat him going full Faith caster with black flame and just avoiding him because I am just way too bad at parrying.
@@stannisbaratheon6725 I fought him with a +0 and level 10 for about 30-40 minutes. Came back for revenge after Godrick with a +4 klaymore and 29 level character. Had to come back again at level 45 lmao
I beat it using the weapon art for the curved greatsword (the flip slash) it gives enough reach to avoid his counter whhne he inevitably poises through my attack
Ah yes, the Crucible Knight. It was the boss that made me feel pain for the first time since the very first time I tried fighting Ornstein and Smough. Can't wait for the pair fight.
Parrying the crucible knight 12 times in a row is how i actually beat him, even though i hate parrying i'll admit that this was probably the best and easiest way to do it.
There is actually a cheese for the crucible knight if you struggle to parry. At the edge of the arena there is a slightly elevated rock, that is only about knee high, that you can stand on and he can't get over, even with his flying charge move. Stand on that rock and bait out the attacks then punish with jumping heavy and he dies. Hope this helps someone.
Spoiler if you haven't gotten to castle redmane in caelid yet, so be warned but: the boss fight there is a misbegotten warrior, and a crucible knight at the same time, so the cheese will help in the short term, but it would work out better to learn the attacks and safe times to deal damage
They get easier as you progress but man the first time I fought him every time he used that absurdly fast stupid tail follow up attack I’d angrily growl in frustration (was using a great sword) when I beat him finally I had no heals and ACTUALLY 1 hp. Finished him with the blood swipe weapon art too which was very euphoric.
I just beat him, the black assassin dagger talisman was handy here since I decided to parry his attacks, get 2 hits on wake up and parry rinse and repeat, dodge the stupid wing and tail bs though.
Weirdly I had more trouble with the ancient hero of Zammor (name is something like that) His second phase allows him to recover very fast and when you have a pretty heavy weapon, he dodges most of you attacks after his pattern

The crucible knights where my nemesis until I decided to try to learn to parry them. I used the same tactic to beat the bell bearing hunter afterwards who was also giving me a hard time. It's strangely funny that parrying, which is a high risk high reward mechanic in the souls games feels like cheesing in elden ring.
I picked up on that after fighting him literally 2 hours straight. He circles at a distance with you until the SECOND you hit the heal button then he runs to you. And his second phase is so tough to catch him with hits because that stupid tail just comes out randomly

The Crucible Knight is probably one of the toughest boss to beat early in the game imo. It took me 1 full hour to beat it at lvl36 with no magics or buffs. Parrying him is very satisfying once you get the hang of it tho.
I went to cruicible knight much later being like lvl 40 and with the golden halberd +2, even then it took me a couple of tries. That boss is tough. Didn't think of parry him tbh, but i suck at parry anyways :D
I have to admit when I went the first time, I was kinda disappointed because I thought the hold would be like a multiplayer hub where you could see other players running around doing stuff, like the tower from destiny

So I got a dumb build idea I been working on. Basically it revolves around bows and crafting. I make poison and bleed arrows in large batches and play keep away on bosses until they die. Stupid part, every time I got stuck on a boss doing this worked first try.
So crazy how difficulty is in these games. Seen so many people saying crucible knight is way harder than Margit. But margit pushed my shit in for an hour. This guy was hard, but I was able to read him so much better. Margit and his delayed attacks, surprise attacks, wow what a good boss.

You’re not getting the Crucible Axe armor and the greatsword until you reach the Outer Capital Walls. Auriza Hero’s Grave. Good freaking luck, and don’t forget to bring a Stonesword Key.

I absolutely hate parrying. I’ve been playing souls for more than half a decade now, and I absolutely fucking despise parrying. Why? Because after years of attempts and multiple games I’ve never been able to do it at all. Like literally at all. Idk what my malfunction is but I can’t parry a goddamn thing in any of these games. I spent hours memorizing the rolls and jumps for crucible and now I see this. It sucks feeling like a chump
This game is too good to be true. I don't even want to fight Godrick because I never want this to end. Use rot dog for big critters and bosses. Scarlet rot is totally cheese city.
It took me 5-6 hours but I managed to kill him with parries only. You can just stand in his face and jump over the stomps, it's very cool if you can pull it off.
Just beat him yesterday after 12 tries with a lvl60 char (30str, 22vig, 30end, 20dex) a +5 Dragon Halberd etc. with like 20-30hp left. I just couldn't beat him before that.. And the sad part, for me, his 2nd phase was easier than the first. Wasted 6-8 estus (from 12) every single trie in his first phase, cause I got confused so much with his 3-4 attack combo, cause the first 3 are all the same in both. Also the stab killed me everytime, cause the hitbox was longer than the actuall weapon in that attack. Also his heavy shield attack.. never managed to doged it correctly. D: But he is finally gone.. The first Crucible Knight I beat (somewhere in the Stormveil Castle depths) fortunatley killed himself, while going in the elevator hole. xD

Took me like 2 hours to kill him, 1 hour spent with a +3 weapon, came back with a +7 and still took another hour. I didn't think to parry them though.

True, that bear give him 6k runes. That is pretty lucky that a big enemy like that spawn wiith golden eyes
Even enemies without eyes can do it.
The giant marbles people farm sometimes give 5x per kill and they normally drop almost 2k.

Crucible knight took me longer than any other boss. the timing on his stomp and shield bash are just wierd for my brain
His tail attack took me the longest to figure out.

My character is mostly melee and I couldn't parry to save my life, so I had to roll through all of his attack. It was a traumatic experience

Crucible Knights AI is on another level, I swear he calls you out on healing and actually mixes up his attack pattern
His attack roll catches perfectly, and as soon as you heal in his range he will for sure hit you.

Holy shit, Prod is underpowered. I stopped leveling to explore the areas before Goodrich and I’m level 47. I’m a melee cleric too.
Feel like 47 is a bit overleveled, I think 20-30 is the best level amount for margit and Godrick

Because after years of attempts and multiple games I’ve never been able to do it at all. Like literally at all. Idk what my malfunction is but I can’t parry a goddamn thing in any of these games. I spent hours memorizing the rolls and jumps for crucible and now I see this. It sucks feeling like a chump

This game is too good to be true. I don't even want to fight Godrick because I never want this to end. Use rot dog for big critters and bosses. Scarlet rot is totally cheese city.

It took me 5-6 hours but I managed to kill him with parries only. You can just stand in his face and jump over the stomps, it's very cool if you can pull it off.

Just beat him yesterday after 12 tries with a lvl60 char (30str, 22vig, 30end, 20dex) a +5 Dragon Halberd etc. with like 20-30hp left. I just couldn't beat him before that.. And the sad part, for me, his 2nd phase was easier than the first. Wasted 6-8 estus (from 12) every single trie in his first phase, cause I got confused so much with his 3-4 attack combo, cause the first 3 are all the same in both. Also the stab killed me everytime, cause the hitbox was longer than the actuall weapon in that attack. Also his heavy shield attack.. never managed to doged it correctly. D:
But he is finally gone.. The first Crucible Knight I beat (somewhere in the Stormveil Castle depths) fortunatley killed himself, while going in the elevator hole. xD

Crucible Knight is such an a-hole. He knows when you drink and goes in for the kill every single time.
Just wait until you have to fight 2 of them at once for his armor and greatsword
