राजस्थान के चूरू ज़िले की राजगढ़ तहसील के थिरपाली "छोटी गांव" की बेटी माया चाहर ने UPSC 2022 की परीक्षा में 547 वीं रैंक हासिल करके अपने गाँव का नाम पूरे देश में रोशन किया।
माया की प्राथमिक शिक्षा बिड़ला पिलानी की हेमंत चिल्ड्रन एकेडमी में हुई थी। इसके बाद हायर एजुकेशन और इंजीनियरिंग पिलानी की बीके बीआईटी से की। 2015 में ग्रेजुएशन करने के बाद माया जी ने UPSC की तैयारी करने का निर्णय लिया जिसमे उनके माता-पिता ने उनका साथ दिया। ख़ासतौर पर उनके दादा जी का ये सपना था कि उनकी पोती कलेक्टर बने। इसलिए माया जी ने दिल्ली में रहकर UPSC Exam की तैयारी शुरू कर दी और 2016 में UPSC का First Attempt दिया जिसमे वो असफ़ल ज़रूर हुई लेकिन बहुत कम मार्क्स से। जिसके कारण माया जी को ये विश्वास हो गया कि वो UPSC Exam clear कर सकती है।
2017 में दिए गए दूसरे attempt में उनका prelims तो हो गया पर mains नहीं हो पाया। लगातार मिल रही असफलताओं के कारण लोगों के ताने माया जी को सुनने को मिले। लोग बोलते थे कि "जिस स्कूल और कॉलेज से तुम हो वहां से आज तक कोई सिविल सर्वेंट नहीं निकला है। तुम कैसे सोच सकती हो कि तुम सिविल सर्वेंट बन जाओगी".
इन तमाम विपरीत परिस्थिति के बावजूद भी माया जी अपने लक्ष्य की और दृढ़ विश्वास के साथ बढ़ती रही। उन्होंने अपनी UPSC Strategy पर काम किया और आखिरकार अपने 6th attempt में माया जी UPSC 2022 में 547 वीं रैंक हासिल करके अपने और अपनों के सपनो को पूरा किया। उन्होंने अपने दादा जी के सपने को UPSC Clear करके पूरा किया।
आज सिर्फ राजस्थान ही नहीं बल्कि पूरे देश की महिलाओं के लिए माया जी प्रेरणा का स्रोत्र है।
