Spent hours trying to figure this out for a self-serve support site and watched too many useless trailblazer videos until I finally stumbled upon this! Clear and concise and exactly what I needed!

this was helpful and easy , is it possible for you to make a video on security and visibility around community for sharing and visibility designer point of view?

    Hi Pratima,
Thanks for sharing these videos, they're very helpful! For sharing sets, I currently have allowed my external users to view accounts. However, is there a way to restrict which contacts within those accounts they are available to view? For example, if there are 5 contacts inside the account, can we make it so that someone can only view 2 of the 5 contacts?

I am trying to share records of custom object owned by internal users based on their interests(field multiselect picklist) to experience site users.
condition : if custom object record interests(atleast one value) matches current user(experience site) associated contact.interests.
Customer Community licences support Apex sharing or not?
please let me know how can we do this.
    Thanks for your time.

Multil select picklists are the most annoying to deal with as you may already know.
Apex sharing works for external sharing as well. I would actually suggest try using flows to set the sharing if you can first. Flows can do pretty much most things apex can do but depend on the scenario.

Hi Pratima, thanks for sharing these videos. v helpful.
Is there any way we can make one field editable for community users since they are not having edit option on cases?
Is it possible to share a case of their own with other community users when they are gone for vacation or so?
Thanks your your time and help in advance.

Hi! Glad its helpful! What do you mean by they don't have edit access on case? Is it locked down for some reason? For adding other users in community, you could probably add some thing like case collaborators. I haven't tried it though, need to check. What license do these external users have?

@@PratimaShri We have 'Community user' license. Our requirement is as a community user they can create a case but they are not suppose to edit the case once case is created. So gave read and create permission only. Since they are not having edit permissions they are not able to edit any field. But now they are asking to give permission on one field to edit, is it possible?

Hey! I tried adding "knowledge" tab into communities. Intention was to enable users to create articles from inside communities.
Is there a way to achieve ?

    • @PratimaShri

I don’t think community users can create articles, they can view knowledge articles. But I would like to check in community user license help doc. Which type of community users are these ?

    • @rajashekar5184

@@PratimaShri ur correct. Community users cant do it from community as they wont have "knowledge user" permission.
I created a community for internal users to access knowledge base we want all internal users to have ability to create articles. Internal users are having salesforce license.
But, my challenge is, i cant find the knowledge tab to add into the community. Sf allowing other tabs like accounts, contacts, cases not knowledge.. any idea to add knowledge tab into community, so, articles can be created from inside communities.

@@rajashekar5184 Thats an interesting requirement. What I have usually seen is they use the knowlege tab in salesforce to create and manage articles, and not from community. I am not sure /aware of being able to add Knowledge tab on Community itself.
