My previous experiences of a lowered Pioneer extend to a burnt arse 9m away from home when the tyre was rubbing on the metal seat pan, and I now use a stock swingarm and Honda rebel short shocks with it - keeps the clearance over the tyre and gives a nice ride height and ride. Looks good, can't wait to see more.
great idea with the shock mounts better than an extension on the swing, now you have welder and load of spares you world is your oyster, two low cost ways I like for the inside of the tank are four bottles of Harpicx10 bleach £4 and water or four boxes of pound shop citric acid and boiled water, both would need a hoes pipe water flush out then dry quick then spray with wd40 inside
Imho fella - bike will handle differently and by the looks you are most likely to hit frame before shocks will bottom out also you didn’t take into account sag you will have one it’s fully dressed and you sitting in it
For what it's worth I think you may be right on the shocks.... its a little experiment on my part. I have actually had a bounce on it and it doesn't make contact...I have about 20mm gap. But a big bump and a few more donuts on my part could change that lol. I have no preloaded atm either...thanks for watching tho
@@CultofRust no probs fella - I’m quite far from shock problems I’m on hardtail :D but as a suggestion that bike would look better with ducktail mudguard imho
