I want to learn one of the popular Joplin rags for a while but my teacher, in her sneaky way, always pools me back to more and more challenging academic music. But I want to play something happy....
Thanks for performing Maple Leaf Rag in low tempo, it helped a lot
The bass is just brilliant; it isn't merely an accompaniment for the melody, it's almost like a counter-melody that stands on its own. The slower tempo lets you hear the bass which is great for learners (like me).
This is great for learning, thank you. Also impressive how closely you traced the metronone
Thanks Cory this helped my rhythm for this piece.
Maravilha ! Perfeição ! Parabéns !!!
Cory this is michelle you are best thanks for ask your wife to did a wonderful piano tutorial for me u are always the best!
Which is the speed you suggest? thanks
A nice 100bpm will do you well.
"Do not play this piece fast. It is never right to play ragtime fast."
-Scott Joplin
Tempo di marcia is about 100-115 bpm. The Maple Leaf Rag should be about 105.
This feels rather slow
That's because it's nearly half the usual tempo.
