      The REASON there are ALL those AMERICAN vehicles in EUROPE is BEACAUSE WE " The USA Government " LEFT them THERE after the WAR !! Practically "ZERO" Vehicles were returned to America at wars end . Sadly most AIRCRAFT too were left at wars end as well . lol I have been a Collector of US Army Vehicles since 1971 . The Absolute MOST I have EVER seen in the USA at ONE TIME at a (NATIONAL meet )was "MAYBE" 250 + the US Military usually NEVER return vehicles back to America , "They Say" is because it cost MORE to ship them Home rather than simply LEAVE them OVERSEAS !!
      How DUMB can that be ??? lol There are MANY MANY MANY MORE US WW 2 Vehicles in Europe and elsewhere than
      remaining ones in America SADLY

    There is nothing like that amount of armor rolling down the street. That’s one thing I don’t think they’re ever gonna make silent is tanks coming down the road or anywhere else you really can hear them from a mile away.

    • @SymbolicLogic24
      @SymbolicLogic24 7 месяцев назад +3

      The amount of armor makes it impossible. The current U.S. MBT uses a turbine engine. Plus the size of tanks alone are incredibly intimidating, idk if you ever seen a Abrams tank in person but they're huge. Pictures and videos don't do it justice.

    • @CarLos-yi7ne

      When you put effective exhaust silencers on them it would make a huge difference. The Sherman tracks doesn't make a lot of noise.

    Amazing engineering and production for the early 1940s, not even counting how so much of this was engineered and built in a hurry.
    Few people are familiar with the engineering process - it's called research and development - they don't know what that means, it means not everything gets built perfectly the first time. In World War II A lot of times they didn't have time to make prototypes they had to make the final product - as with the b-29 Superfortress.

      Interestingly the fury replica in the convoy isn't actually an A3E8 but a bit of a Hyrbrid. from what I can tell it's a regular M4 chassis, not an A3, late model M4 105 if you wanna get particular since thats the only time regular M4s got HVSS suspension.

    • @predatorjunglehunter7332
      @predatorjunglehunter7332 7 месяцев назад

      @samhale6918 the tank in 16:47 and 17:01 it was not a Fury "replica", it was the actual tank used in the movie, the Bovington musseum provided it for this event, they uploaded several stories about it on their FB and Instagram pages. but yeah, the actual model of the tank is a M4A2E8

    • @samhale6918
      @samhale6918 7 месяцев назад

      @predatorjunglehunter7332 Turns out I am incorrect on the tank being a replica on an M4 105 HVSS chassis, this example is actually a replica using an M4A3E8, in other words this fury is actually period and US army accurate. Best way to tell is the top of the engine deck. I thought it was an M4 105 because of the spash plate just behind the turret, I thought it was the large ones present on the M4/M4A1s, turns out it's a much smaller splash plate that's exclusively seen on the M4A3E8. The A2s engine deck was basically flat and had small grilles on top, both of which you can see in the final drone shot in fury

      @CobraEmergency No mate - my mistake in not being clear in my original message. Some posts were asking about the lack of British & Canadian flags/kit etc. in the convoy. My reply was referring to the fact that Isigny was liberated by US forces - 175th Infantry Regiment and 747th Tank Battalion, I believe. The convoy in the video was outside Isigny, hence it being appropriate for it being largely made up of US equipment. The reference to UK and Canadian forces being elsewhere refers to Overlord in general, not this specific action. Apologies for any confusion.....
