When you're freezing to death halfway up a mountain with a sprained ankle, Kendal mint cake will make you feel even colder and more unfortunate: when your last meal could've been a Snickers or a sausage roll...
That is a fab drive through 'The Lakes' and you guys made it such a lot of fun to watch. I'll give a shout out to the A82 in Scotland which is simply stunning, especially the stretch from Rannoch Moor to Glencoe. One road that some of your viewers may not be aware of is the A708 from St.Mary's Loch to Moffat in the Scottish Borders. It's a breathtaking drive and well worth a look if you're up that way.
Randokly found you peeps the other day, love you both and Everly is just the cutest and best behaved. Thank you for making me proud to be British, you also picked a fantastic pair to do the trip with, their craic is great. Look forward to what you both see next
@@jamesrowe3606 Was it not you who saw a comment about the beauty of a particular part of England and then issued a remark that claimed that Scotland was the best place to be, now that seams to me to be the ultimate attention seeker.
@PatrickKelly-lz3pv Brace yourself for this; I don't care what you think. I suspect nobody does, which is why you're trying to bait people on the internet. Get a fuckin life.
Just stay away from Hardknott and Wrynose passes unless your clutch is up to the job! 18:10 a left there and you will end up on the Kirkstone pass via "The Struggle", that is the name of the road !
I've travelled to a lot of places around the world but I just think Britain is so unique and varied compared to anywhere else. Maybe Im bias because I'm English though 😆
There is a dark history to the gingerbread shop. Google the Grasmere gingerbread wars. Btw, the gingerbread is even better warmed a little. Did you miss the St Oswald’s churchyard where Wordsworth is buried and daffodils flower there (well, wrong time of the year I guess)?
You dont really get to see much at all on this. But i personally i choose the Lakes. The views are astounding. The circle they where at you can walk to the edge of that Hill aand look out accross a valley and Lake. Dont think thry wanted to walk to far being a bit chilly.
@MaxwellMoore-d1u no problem but they said Britain at the start and there are drives as good if not better in Scotland. Ps my family live in the lakes so I agree it's v nice.

Mint cake is a very old version of an energy bar. It's basically just sugar, and it's only really meant to give walkers and climbers an energy boost.
When I was a mountain guide I always carried it, for exactly that purpose. My first aid box would always have a bar in it

The early Everest expeditions would carry it

Once again Everly is stealing the show with her smiles! Great interaction with your friends and lovely scenery.
This channel is gonna. Be huge one day 🏴
Wow! Such a beautiful place to visit, rain and all!
Side note…Alex, you should be a voice actor. Your voice overs are always done so well ❤
A core memory from childhood is Kendal Mint Cake - we did a lot of fell walking and always took a bar with us for energy.
Roads like that are everywhere in the uk
I was going to say that, they exist all over the UK.

Aaahhhhh, A-591! It belongs in love songs and romantic poetry. What rhymes with "A-591?" ♥💘
The best road in ENGLAND maybe, but there are roads in Scotland that would literally take your breath away.
Aww is England getting the attention you crave

you should drive through Wales and Shropshire (via Ellesmere) I hate country roads but it is scenic
12:46 no fooling Marianne ❤
We have finally learned why the chicken crossed the road.. to get out of Chris's way!

Best drive in Britain very debatable !
Which would you say is better? We need to know the super secret top secret formula lol
@@FnAVanLife Pretty much anywhere around the NW of Scotland.
The Road from Fort William to Mallaig is pretty Epic
I love your videos.
Dry stone walls have another purpose as they act as fire breaks for moorland fires. They aren’t just for livestock and boundary purposes.
There are many roads in Scotland which are more scenic.
