Playwright Nancy Harris joins Amy Kidd to discuss Playwriting for Young Actors & Audiences. Playwright Nancy Harris was the recipient of the Stuart Parker Award for her first original full-length play 'No Romance' which premiered at The Abbey Theatre in Dublin. Her play 'Our New Girl' premiered at The Bush Theatre, London, and was longlisted for an Evening Standard 'Most Promising Playwright Award' in 2013, the play had a successful run at The Gate Theatre in Dublin before it was closed by the lockdown. She has written extensively for young people, including her reimagining of 'The Red Shoes' at The Gate Theatre, the musical 'Baddies' at the Unicorn Theatre, and Journey to X for NT Connections.
Stage Door Live is a live webcast that airs on RUclips, Facebook, and Twitter every Wednesday at 7PM IST/GMT. The program features theatre makers from Ireland and around the world talking about the hottest topics in Irish Theatre for makers of theatre and lovers of theatre from around the world.
