Hey! Future Tiptoe here. Thanks for checking out these videos! If you'd like to keep up on RUclips Community info, I'll be posting extra bits of info here in the future: ruclips.net/user/TiptoeTheTankcommunity As of this post, this is a relatively young channel. I've only really been around since the end of 2020. I hope to be around for the foreseeable future; I'm excited to watch this little passion project grow. More info and content will come with time! Thank you for being here so early in the game. PEACE! -Tip
I enjoy these videos both a soothing and charismatic voice but still having that silly comedy that keeps me entertained :D keep up the hard good work, these are a bit easier to listen to but still...its silent hill what'd I expect lol
"I tried to save her, with my bullets." Is the single best sentence I've heard. I've been watching your videos on silent hill and they are the best! Hope you the best!
In the amidst of all that horror and suffering, it is heartwarming to realize that after the world had abandoned her, after Alessa was left to suffer alone in a perpetual state of decay and torment, after even her own mother sacrificed her for delusions of grandeur, one man came along that faced the abyss, stared into the torture her mind had projected onto the world and decided to fight through all of it, through the darkness, through the monsters, through the evil woman that had tormented her and even stare down and fight an evil god for no reason other than love, a pure love from a father she never had. Cheryl was Harry's little girl and he decided he would go home with her or die trying. Alessa was intent on dying but even she could not deter him from saving her. Now that's a dad.
This is why Harry should have stayed the protagonist of the SH movie. He’s a kind and gentle loving father. Changing his gender was stupid and I’ll never stop ranting about it lol
@iamjackspyramidshapedhelmet tbh, as a huge fan of SH 1, I honestly didn't mind the protagonist of the movie. The essence of the character was still there and the actress did a great job. I found it weirder the separation of Dhalia's character into two characters, the presence of Pyramid Head and the death o Cybil made me sad
I *love* this. Fell asleep to it last night. It made me re-experience the horror of the first game and gave me chills the way you described and phrased things. I love when actual writers write and talk about Silent Hill, it’s one of the best games to dive into intellectually
Honestly? I think this is the only seriously canonical summary I’ve heard so far- and believe me I’ve heard many. It’s often hard to connect the Silent Hill games because they’re all so different and abstract in their own way. Thankfully you pieced together the symbolisms and lore details without making it way too convoluted and I definitely appreciate that!
I love the themes of Silent Hill, but the confusing way the lore is shown in game was always a bit of a problem. This *is* the best Deep Lore on Silent Hill I have ever seen.
I've been thinking about the story of SH1, and I've come to see it as a story about learning to live with the fact that someone you love can have been abused, and there's nothing you can do about it but be there for them. Cheryl is how Harry thinks of his daughter in the beginning. She's innocent and happy. Loved and protected. Alessa personifies the abuse. Harry sees her, and by extension the abuse she's suffered, as something to be defeated. She is the antithesis to Cheryl's thesis. Heather (left unnamed in this game, of course) is the synthesis of the two. The whole person who's both things. A beloved child who also bears the weight of experiences that Harry can't defeat. So he ultimately accepts that he can't protect her from the past and opts to love her and be there for her as best he can from that moment forward. She's a new baby to represent the new beginning, the opportunity to take what he's learned and simply do as best as he can from that moment on. What I especially like about this view of the story is that it's not about revenge. Harry doesn't fight the people who hurt Alessa as bosses, but manifestations of her fears. Because it's not about those people. Fuck those people. It's about her, about Alessa/ Cheryl/ Heather, and it's about Harry getting over his own shit so he can be there for her.
@@carlrevans You know….. I recently rewatched the movie and although it’s cliché, early-naughts campy, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and it’s really not as bad as people make it out to be. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That disclaimer did not prepare me for how knowledgeable and amazing this video turned out to be. Well done you are now in my playlist of top tier lore channels. It's not much but here is a like and subscribe.
That's fair. She actually started with Silent Hill 1 but rage quit part way through. Later she was told to try 4 first which got her hooked in the universe, then went back to finish the series. Ended up being one of her favorites.
Recently found your channel and your Silent Hill videos. As a long time SH fan I enjoy your videos and it's rare to see people talking about the franchise given how dead it is. There is something I want to bring up. First in the North American version SH1, there was a bug that prevents one note in the game being found, a newspaper article explaining that the fire was caused by a boiler exploding in the house, not by Dahlia's hands. I bring this up because it was important enough that the later European and Japanese releases of SH1 had that bug fixed. Combining that note with another note in the game about psychic powers, paints a clearer picture as to what happened. During the ritual, in fear and pain Alessa lashed out with her powers, causing the boiler in the house to explode and start the fire. After all it doesn't make sense that the ritual to impregnate her with the Cult's God would leave her body so ravaged that it would require medical and magical means to keep her alive. Of course Origins, a game made by a different team, tries to counter that, that the fire was part of the ritual but... well Origins does make a mess of things with regards to SH1's backstory and even in the game itself where we see the event it doesn't make sense with that notion.
@@ADAM_NORMAN_AND_MELODY That's what Origins says but Origins has multiple contradictions with established lore of SH1 as I pointed out. And it makes no sense that the ritual to birth God into the world would force Alessa into a state that requires them to also keep her alive via medical and magical means while she's supposed to be gestating the God.
@@ADAM_NORMAN_AND_MELODY Are you a troll or something? I mean some of that is right but a bunch of that is wrong and directly contradicts what's in SH1.
@@ADAM_NORMAN_AND_MELODY For starters, there is only one Alessa. She did split her soul to create Cheryl. While there is a connection between them, they are separate beings until Cheryl returns to Silent Hill at which point the two fragments become one again. The teenage Alessa were see running around is an astral projection, her soul and mind while the immobile burnt body is Alessa's physical body. It's why several times Harry encounters Alessa she just disappears. It's because that Alessa is but a phantom. Heather is a reincarnation of Alessa and a completely different person. While she does possess some of Alessa's and Cheryl's memories, they are just that, memories. In fact after the Memory of Alessa Boss, Heather comments about the difference between them and how even though she remember Alessa's life, disagrees with Alessa's attempts to killed herself and Heather. Alessa never had ties to the Cult? Her mother was a leader in the Cult. She was raised on the Cult's beliefs. She may have rejected them and may not have been an official member of the Cult but she did have ties to it. Alessa was not in a coma. Her body was crippled by the fire and her powers were diminished from splitting her soul. Magic was involved to keep her alive and to inflict more pain on her to draw the other hald of her soul back. But Alessa was conscious through all of it. Only in the film did Cheryl have dreams of Silent Hill. Alessa did reach out and plant the idea of going to Silent Hill but it wasn't to figure out the cause of strange dreams. Harry took her there because it was a resort town for a vacation. Finally Dahlia died at the end of Silent Hill, full stop. Nowhere in any of the games does it suggest that she survived. If you are making a fan-game, you really should study the lore better.
@@ADAM_NORMAN_AND_MELODY Unless you work for Konami or have reached a deal with them, it won't be official. It's nothing more than a fan-game. And if you charge for it, you could risk a lawsuit. Plus no one working on a professional, official project would reveal said project before it was officially announced or lengthy conversation with a YT rando with what would supposedly be the project's official YT channel. They would also have an avatar that was an image related to the game in question rather than just the basic YT first letter of the channel name avatar. Dropped in to comment that you have a great voice and narration style perfect for audiobooks. Then I read your youtube bio and it all made sense. Keep up the good work. Subscribed and bingeing your channel for the next few days.
Of all the Silent Hill videos I’ve watched, you’re the only one I can remember even mentioning White Claudia, let alone explaining it. I played this game like ten years ago, so I was starting to think I’d made it up
I'm glad that I got to see you stream SH. We learned that water chestnuts are evil, rich decadent choclate goes with a well aged chedder. Valtiel was also the one known to have murdered Lisa Garland. That when confronted with God TIptoe's first action is to reload
I played the original PS game when I was a teen, 12:27 as far as I understand there are 4 Sects of the order I think... Sect of the Holy Woman, Sect of the Holy Mother, Sect of Valtiel and Sect of Shepherd's Field. Btw thankyou for all your readings, I have real bad Insomnia and I need heavy medication to fall asleep. your voice when I listen to you do your Lore reading is so soft and smooth I don't need as strong medication to drift off. your voice is a really good headspace meditation voice :) please keep up what you do, and I look forward to many more Lore Stories :)
The name of the sect headed by Dahlia was mistranslated in the "Victim Files" promotional materials for SH4:TR as the Saint Ladies sect, but is sometimes corrected to the Holy Woman sect. (Bonus trivia: sometimes Saint Ladies is misspelled as Saint Ladles.)
Ma'am (or your choice of title) you are a treasure. Like any these days my anxiety has been consuming me. Your videos help stave off some bad stuff. Thank you. May your Kingdom flourish!
The beauty of these games and topics is they're SUPPOSED to be open to perspective. Yes there's a legitimate story, there's a lot of in depth lore, but it's written beautifully in a way that you can take what you want from it. There shouldn't be arguing about who's right and wrong, but a discussion about how we saw and felt playing through these phenomenal stories. We all view things differently, and pull from our own experiences to do so, why not build the story up, rather than tear each other down.
Loved the Resident Evil lore and walk through. Very engaging and thought provoking. This is just as good. You certainly have a unique take on your source material. Keep it up and I'll keep watching.
Dear tiptoe, Your style of content and the execution into the final product is incredible! I have been active on RUclips since Pewdiepies Amnesia days and have not enjoyed any game lore related content as much as yours. Thank you very much for producing this wonderful content!♥️😊
These are straight up wonderful videos. Worry not about those that cant handle the fact someone could have a differing opinion, I love the fact your lore videos come from a blind playthrough. It's so dang refreshing when it's not tainted by the lore communities meta ideas you sometimes heard repeated so often.
I just subscribed and I have to say I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! Fell asleep listening to RE Lore last night and listening to Silent Hill Lore while at work the next day. Takes a lot to get me stoked on something so thank you!!!
Just found the channel and its going into my "faves" list alongside thegamingmuse. Love both yours and his lore videos and even if you both cover similar information with just as much depth, I love how both of you have a unique flare. And your voice is very calming.
I just recently finished a first play-through of Silent Hill 1 and realized there was some info/lore that I did not get during my run. This video was amazing at filling the gaps and connections that I had missed!
Wow simply awesome! You have great storytelling abilities! I love this game and loved the way you carefully wrapped all its story! Thanks for making this video!!
The fact that you gone your way to write a audio book just to convey the silent hill game plot in the most dramatic and captivanting way possible, would classify you to do a great silent hill movie adaptation. Amazing Video.
I can start watching your videos and all of a sudden an hour has flown by and I'm already at the end. You do a great job. Your humor doesn't ruin the tone. The narration rolls over very smoothly. Very well done. Just seen your video on Silent Hill 3. Now here I am. 👌👍👌👍👌
What an amazing video. I like the style of what you're doing here Tiptoe. The game has many endings but i feel like the one you chose to go with is the most sensible given the themes it presents the player. No aliens amirite? I really liked the bit where you referred back to Silent Hill 4, so you do get really really invested in the lore you uncover. This channel needs more recognition.
I like how you attempt to tell stories in your own unique way while touching on details you were able to uncover. I imagine how your storytelling would affect the JRPG classics of early 2000's-2010's. Or American Mcgee's Alice
Just discovered you're channel with silent Hill and I gotta say it was very entertaining. Specifically Because i can't really look at my phone at work but i can listen with earbuds. Good job 👍.
Not a single other thought would cross my mind if that happen to my son. The only thing I will say is see you in Silent Hill, I'll be the guy who finds his kid.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have always wanted to play the silent hill series but the godawful tank controls in 1 made it impossible for me. now i know the lore of 1 so i can play the others which are much more playable.
silent hill is my favorite horror game franchise. bar none. it's lore and story are both dense and sometimes up to interpretation. i have watched many silent hill videos as i love the story and revisit the town thru these various videos. your videos, however, bring a new style of story telling that really do an amazing job of both narrating the story as well as recounting the facts. subscription well earned and excited to watch more of your work. thank you for bringing my favorite story to life without all the other bs that often drag down my enjoyment of other videos.
You better get it exactly right or the gatekeepers will type you a good one. On a serious note though... this was so well done!! Going to watch the rest! And subscribe! Thanks for your work!
Well done yet again!!! Very impressed! Such detail, strong story telling and really draws you in! This is very inspiring to me because as a musician I really want to do remixes and covers for my love of the SH series!!!! Great videos and Subbed to your channel 🤘😎 keep up the good work and may the force be with you!!!!
Oh just found you channel! If you enjoy horror games with some lore inspired by the like of Lovecraft and Poe. I would highly recommend Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem for the GameCube. It’s a personal favourite must have played more than 20 full completion runs.(have to complete the game 3 times to get the True ending once for each Ancient alignment Red(Hard) Blue(Medium) Green(Easy) which you choose at the end of the First Tome Chapter. This will all make sense if you play. I would highly recommend you pick Green Statue first as it’s the easiest run difficulty wise and will allow you to experience the games special feature the Sanity Effects most often.Yes you have a sanity meter. Hope you enjoy it and I wonder if you can see the games one and only jump scare coming?)
Awesome video. i love how far back you went, and I really enjoyed this. i have been a silent hill fan since day one. The only error as i understand it as alessa was never purposefully burnt the ritual to impregnate her with a god made her psychic powers explode a boiler in her home because of the mental and physical pain she was being forced through. As i know it. But that's just how i have always known it to be an amazing video, though. ✌🏻💜🇬🇧
@BrandonPhilipps-r9b you too, huh? Yeah, I think anyone who isn't at least a little depressed at this point just isn't paying attention. Feel better, bro.

All the information is from in-game, old dev interviews and even old dev websites that are only accessible on the wayback machine. She sometimes uses official books or comics. She doesn't use public fan made wiki's. As for her channel, it's completely owned and operated by her and I (mostly her). I handle backend stuff. She does all the research, scripting, voicework and editing 👌
@@Viryl_TV She did a very good job of narrating, that must take a lot of practice before speaking this smoothly, and this must take a heck of a lot of time, plus, for all of these games that she has done this for too. Nice to see a female doing this because I am use to guys putting out these type of videos.
I've recently tried to play through the silent Hill series again. The tank controls didn't get me. The story of homecoming and downpour did. I slogged through homecoming but couldn't get into downpour like I did years ago. It was very forgettable
i cant play because of the controls and it really annoys me because i want to play them, so for now ill settle with lore videos and maybe one day i can experience it myself

Loved the Resident Evil lore and walk through. Very engaging and thought provoking.
This is just as good. You certainly have a unique take on your source material. Keep it up and I'll keep watching.
Dear tiptoe,
Your style of content and the execution into the final product is incredible!
I have been active on RUclips since Pewdiepies Amnesia days and have not enjoyed any game lore related content as much as yours.
Thank you very much for producing this wonderful content!♥️😊
I love the Silent Hill series and your videos are by far the best.
Oh I'm so glad! Thank you for those kind words, and for checking out the videos!
It's incredible how I've watched this on my third time already. Good job on the presentation!
Just found the channel and its going into my "faves" list alongside thegamingmuse. Love both yours and his lore videos and even if you both cover similar information with just as much depth, I love how both of you have a unique flare. And your voice is very calming.
your naration makes every game a masterpiece... huge fan...
Wow, that was some in-depth lore. Thanks!
I can start watching your videos and all of a sudden an hour has flown by and I'm already at the end. You do a great job. Your humor doesn't ruin the tone. The narration rolls over very smoothly. Very well done. Just seen your video on Silent Hill 3. Now here I am.
👌👍👌👍👌
Your storytelling/gaming/streaming technique are amazing.
Honestly really love your lore videos
Thank you for your channel. I just let Reddit know about your awesome work!
You are a gifted storyteller. This is wonderfully told.
Nice one, rarely you see such a lore accurate presentation of the game as you did now
You did absolutely fantastic! Thank you for this video
Just found your channel thanks to the dead space 3 video, you make awesome content please keep it up!!!
I sure will. Thank you for your kind comment and for checking out the channel!
Oh dang new favourite channel, time to binge!!
I really enjoy your view on the lore...and it's well presented. Well told too.
That was very beautiful!
I like how you attempt to tell stories in your own unique way while touching on details you were able to uncover. I imagine how your storytelling would affect the JRPG classics of early 2000's-2010's. Or American Mcgee's Alice
How can you be doubtful of my majesticness?
Just discovered you're channel with silent Hill and I gotta say it was very entertaining. Specifically Because i can't really look at my phone at work but i can listen with earbuds. Good job 👍.
This is very good, thank you
Not a single other thought would cross my mind if that happen to my son. The only thing I will say is see you in Silent Hill, I'll be the guy who finds his kid.
Amazing video thanks
Hi friend, thanks for your insight and pleasant videos. 👍
terrifying but wonderful as always great work
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have always wanted to play the silent hill series but the godawful tank controls in 1 made it impossible for me. now i know the lore of 1 so i can play the others which are much more playable.
Absolutely outstanding video thanks 😊 👏 👍
This was a phenomenal video. Thank you for making it.
silent hill is my favorite horror game franchise. bar none.
it's lore and story are both dense and sometimes up to interpretation. i have watched many silent hill videos as i love the story and revisit the town thru these various videos.
your videos, however, bring a new style of story telling that really do an amazing job of both narrating the story as well as recounting the facts.
subscription well earned and excited to watch more of your work.
thank you for bringing my favorite story to life without all the other bs that often drag down my enjoyment of other videos.
Darker, yet, darker.
Well played 💙💜💛💚❤️🧡
I bsolutely love your content !!!!
I heard there’s an algorithm lurkin about in these here parts. I reckon we’d best form a posse and put this sunuvagun 6 feet under.
Another great Sh lore video! Also, your voice reminds me of Ashly Burch! One of my favourite vo actors :o
I think you nailed it
You better get it exactly right or the gatekeepers will type you a good one.
I love your work, you are incredible
I know this is 3 years old but after you said you were going to touch in all the main entires I instantly subbed lol
wow that was amazing. I legit want to play a this.
I really love how you told the story of silent hill. Ever considered telling true or "rumored" scary stories? Had my direct attention the whole time
Found your channel by accident, I LIKE 😍
Got yourself a new sub.
40:25 Even in Silent Hill 3 Lisa's still suffering in the Otherworld.
You should be putting classic novels on audio. Bravo
15:25 Alessa's basically Carrie if her life had somehow gotten even worse.
Perry Mason did all that?! Damn, Andy Griffith been busy 😆
Best silent hill lore videos you now the goddess of lore
There were some 90 witch trials that happened in addition to The Salem Witch Trials.
Man. This cult sure has a lot of sects. They should just call it a sects cult.
Sure do love me a good sectsy cult
Okay, you win. You just made a man suffering from 15 years of depression laugh and smile. Thank you.
@BrandonPhilipps-r9b you too, huh? Yeah, I think anyone who isn't at least a little depressed at this point just isn't paying attention. Feel better, bro.
around 38:40
Aaaand this is how you know this is an American Channel :D
I Love Your Channel I Learned Sooo much with All Silent Hill Games even thou I never Beated theM EVER but Ur videos on Silent Hill is Relaxing it like a Horror Stories to get cozy in Bed 🛏️ 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊🤘🤘
Came for the ASMR
Stayed for the heartbreaking lore
-J☆
Where did you get all of this background information on the game like the background on the Silent Hill town? Thumbs Up and I am Subscribing.
You should play Silent Hill Origins though to have it all come together...
Also, is this your own channel?
All the information is from in-game, old dev interviews and even old dev websites that are only accessible on the wayback machine. She sometimes uses official books or comics. She doesn't use public fan made wiki's. As for her channel, it's completely owned and operated by her and I (mostly her). I handle backend stuff. She does all the research, scripting, voicework and editing 👌
@@Viryl_TV She did a very good job of narrating, that must take a lot of practice before speaking this smoothly, and this must take a heck of a lot of time, plus, for all of these games that she has done this for too. Nice to see a female doing this because I am use to guys putting out these type of videos.
the valtiel rant threw me way off XD i was just typing stuff out then i just hear you speeding through lore
I will fight for this lore! 😉
Oh boy this will be a terrifying game to play a remake of.
I've recently tried to play through the silent Hill series again. The tank controls didn't get me. The story of homecoming and downpour did. I slogged through homecoming but couldn't get into downpour like I did years ago. It was very forgettable
21:10 For my lil human, fuck ya, the spookies gonna get mama bear fists to the face :D
I soooo love your videos!!!!!!!! ❤
i can't just leave her out there by herself
Chocolate and cheese goes together.
This is TRUTH.
I would argue but I enjoy cheese spray on my Kit Kats.
Chocolate and cheese DO go together and I won’t tolerate any different opinion
26:51 BLOOD! Hope this is not Chris' blood!
I think the playlist might be in reverse order?...
Good catch! I'll fix that.
Commenting for the algorithm god
Ngl, I'm so spoiled by modern gaming that I have trouble playing this game 😔 I hate tank controls lol
i cant play because of the controls and it really annoys me because i want to play them, so for now ill settle with lore videos and maybe one day i can experience it myself
@@IantheTridentariuss if you take the time, it goes get easier. Definitely worth it, but a total pain in the ass
If you manage to save Officer Bennett is she able to escape the other world before it collapses?
If you save Cybil she leaves the town with Harry
