I knew Rota since I was only 13 years old, its an Island Blessed with its natural abundance of its natural resources from Land to Ocean, its resources are fertile n rich from rivers to land crabs, deer, birds local food n their friendly attitudes I will never forget😃👍
Thank you for posting... This makes me miss my island ever so much... Brings back memories as a child growing up on rota. The beaches and hanging out at my father's ranch was the best.
Thanks for this wonderful video with many great scenes from Rota, I particularly enjoyed your narration. I felt so relaxed but also entranced by the island after watching it.
I used to work there during 1990 to 2000 and we were the one who built the golf course and the hotel owned by Shiriyama Northern Marianas(SNM) and I was married at San Francisco De Borja Church. My employer was DK brothers Construction owned by Pete Dela Cruz(Daklak). We built almost all the infrastracture of the Island, yes, all filipinos built all the buildings of this island and all the resorts that you see and sure I can relate on what you are talking about but you never mentioned that our culture over there is that we wave our hand, palm front to everyone you meet on the road.......everybody knows everyone in there.....
This is a marvelous film about a heavenly place that I will probably never visit but now have experienced thanks to you sir. The epilogue was very moving and really gave the story a nice ending.
This makes me so mahalang (homesick). Thank you for posting this, you did a great job on showcasing the beauty of the Marianas Islands. Also, your voice is very soothing. Si yu'us ma'ase!
@@prsw100 I lived in Guam before but I was told to visit Saipan and the other islands I will do it on my next trip , the nature looks so alive thanks again 😊

As usual, a wonderful video! love the way you describe everything you see and do. it makes one feel like we are enjoying the same things. thank you for sharing all of your great adventures.
Very nice documentary. Reminds me of my time out on Saipan. Been to Rota a few times. Used to be an ASPARAGUS LOUNGE there, very laid back. Also FIGUEROAS.OWNER came to Saipan to try his luck but failed. I'm sure Rota is built up now. In comparison. I was in Rota in 1989, again in 95. Beautiful place indeed.
Thank you for this beautiful representation of my Island Home... And, thank you for visiting my family fruit farm... Gagani Fruit Farm! Please visit Rota again soon!
Wow! Wonderful place, Garden of Eden! I just hope the airlines will continue to fly in and allow people to see it, but hopefully not change it. How are things in Rota today? My friend went back to Guam.
So vibrant....hope you will visit Sabah (North Borneo) one day. It is a tropical paradise and living theme park. Rota Island reminds me of the island of Labuan.
Great video yet again. Interestingly, I just returned from a trip to Guam and Saipan about a month ago. I wish I had seen this video prior to my trip as it would have given me many good reasons to stop in Rota too. Next time.....
Yes, very much so I am afraid. In the 20 years since I first visited Guam and Saipan, I have seen Guam flourish and Saipan go downhill for a number of reasons. A great shame for I like Saipan far more than Guam.
Hi Balchandre, nice to hear from you. Kashmir to Ladakh trip will appear in 30 min. Rota is near Guam in the Pacific. www.google.com.hk/maps/place/Rota+Island,+CNMI/@14.1554676,145.1715846,13z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x672068c16b452397:0xde32a5450c61410c!8m2!3d14.1508752!4d145.2148736?hl=en
I have visited Guam for years, and I visited Saipan, and then my friend in Saipan took me to Rota as a family we knew moved there from Guam, so we went to visit!
@@vegasmade777 I’d love to, but it’s not likely given the expense of flying there from the US mainland. I was in the CNMI for 8.5 years and had a great experience there, but in my future travels, I will likely spend my money visiting different places.
I used to fly Twin Otters to Rota. My friend worked for Freedom Air. I thought a soldier put a grenade in the cannon. There was an explosion from the inside of the barrel. If you watch carefully you can see the metal protruding from the explosion.
I wonder too If they still sell that postcard of that Japanese cargo ship taking a direct hit from a torpedo bomber. That was their signature postcard. You can dive that wreck today.
I never knew till watch this video, that so called sukun in Malaysia is called breadfruit in english 😅. We always deep fried with mix flour and eat with deep spicy soy sauce. Very yummy.
It’s a relic left behind by the Japanese, and everybody dances on it. Read about what they did in Saipan, lack of ‘respect’ was the least of what they suffered.
