I went here the waves settle down when I went there were no waves they dig this up when the water level gets to high the water from the fresh water river actually comes from a waterfall up stream about a 2km hike on paved surface though so it isn't that bad
I have no fun at the beach... i have rashes since I was 3 months old.. the salty water hurts it...

It is bad for the ecosystem. A process called River Capture/River Piracy, it reduces the freshwater in the rivers (drinking water, irrigation, habitats, marshes) and over time the river dries up. If it's done every year, I'm sure it could have some consequences.
