My read of the Trump and Vance position on the Ukraine is a little different. Their position is not that they wouldn’t support Ukraine at all but that European NATO members who have not been living up to their financial or military commitments geopolitically have a more urgent interest in supporting Ukraine.
They want the European’s to step up to the plate and meet their contractual treaty commitments rather than have the U.S., which has its own financial problems, bear the majority of the burden of supporting Ukraine. Facially, it is not an unreasonable position.

So that is the failure that will cost democrats this presidency!

No no - two months into the conflict Zelenskyy and Russia had concluded a peace plan. Biden sent over his little (!) lapdog, Boris Johnson, to tell Zelenskyy to break the deal. Of course, as is typical with cowardly Brit statesmen, Johnson did as he was ordered. In following orders, hundreds of thousands of lives were lost in the subsequent conflict. Hasn't your State media even allowed you to know that? No wonder the Europeans are so dreadfully uninformed and totally clueless. Golly.

So do many Americans, as polls have shown. On the contrary, the neoconservative ideology which is currently dominant in Washington, which asserts that the President of America is entitled to (as Biden put it last week ) be "running the whole world", is extremist. For the second point, i've noticed that a lot of mediocre intellects seem to think that claiming an argument they disagree with is invalid because it resembles statements coming , for instance from the Kremlin, is not a serious or logical argument, it's just a form of name-calling

NONE of the other Nato countries spend anything close to their signed commitments of 2% GDP on defense, other than the US. As a South African citizen who values my country's sovereignity, i find this journalism appalling. I do not like Putin, and i hate what he has done to the Ukraine. But the US taxpayer does not owe me or anyone else anything. I think large portions of the US citizenry agree with people from the Global South- that it is time for the US to give up the neocon agenda.
