hello sir I have some unusual problem the circuet in question is the 4 pin GM ignition module for an Opel car from the 80s. It uses the MC 3334 ic chip diagram for HEI Ignition circuet. Now my problem is that thing does not have an zener diode voltage protection in my Europ model Ignition Module and badicali it isnt practical at all it does not have an retard or advance ignition timing option . So I surche for an ignition module replacement circuet that can operate by an inuctive pick up coil.So basicali I need some how to figure out some thing simpler and make my own circuet that can phase shift ither the pick up ,ignition module or the ignition coil it self basicali I need around +/-10° Degrees variabel ignition timing . So I wathed so CDI variabel circuets they use 555timer and the ic 4070 xor and some led also some resistors to suposedli give 3 out puts who are operated by switches mormal advance and retard option. So I was wondering if that circuet wuld work on an HEI ignition module as well not only CDI ignitor module? Im not shure how to deal with that problem honesli the goal is mostli to get some narow retarding option so I can easyr start in winter time my engine.So I ques I need an variabel logic phase shifter if posibel 0-180 degrees capabiliti . So I hoppe you know more how that can by done .Any way my existing hei module is crap it has lot limitations and Im fead up with that thing it does not work under lowr engine rpms,it has terribel ignition coil saturation ,lot back charge interuption from ground reference it has no zener diode basicali so and the non existing advance/retard option gives my hard time. So I hoppe for any advice how to takel this problem .
