Man I feel I'm awakening to this man's lyrical skill everyday. I first got el v envy and couldn't really understand it cause of his dope, quick, & witty flow; his diction; and the lack of being able to comprehend that he was talking about las Vegas (lvnv) and elohim v Satan's envy (el v envy)

Last night my wife and I were discussing the finer points of our neurodiversity & the fact we are peculiar and alien to others around us, even those we love or wish to minister to. And we were also reflecting on the strangeness of Humble Beast records, specifically JGivens and how I could probably learn a lot of missional perspectives by watching JGivens from a discipleship perspective. And then we were discussing El v. Envy, how I haven't listened to it in like 6 months. And then my wife blew my mind and said, LV, NV. Las Vegas, Nevada. But God vs. Idolatry, too. And I realized it's possibly the most brilliant album title ever. How did I not notice? The punnage is punitive X_x

This past summer I started listening to John Givez when his four seasons album dropped and stumbled onto El V. Envy on spotify as a related artist. Man from the start to the finish the album rocks. Bienvenue has to be my favorite song on the album along with "Can't say" and "Friends". "This is for them gambling addicted, methamphetamine afflicted Christians!". REP CHRIST!
