My first 3 times traveling to Los Angeles I would always book this hotel because it was in the heart of downtown. Not knowing anything about the history. When I was there on my 3rd trip, my stay was for 3 weeks. After the 4th time hearing from either an Uber driver or local resident about me not being scared to stay at the hotel is when I decided to do research on its history. I immediately checked out and was able to book a different hotel. I had several paranormal encounters without realizing that’s what was happening. There were two different times that scared me the most! The first one was when I was in the elevator and I was going down to the lobby. I was on my phone when the doors had opened upon arriving to what I was expecting to be the lobby. In fact it was either the basement or the attic! It was completely dark and had a bunch of construction that wasn’t finished nor had it looked like anyone had been there for years. It was very creepy. The 2nd encounter was when I was sleeping. My brother and I shared a room with two beds. I was woken up because I thought my brother was tickling my feet and I kept telling him to stop without even opening my eyes. When it didn’t stop, that’s when I got up and yelled at him but he was completely sleep. It was 2:45 a.m. I thought he was fake sleeping or something but when I walked to his bed and woke him up, that’s when I realized it wasn’t him. I told him what had happened and he said his socks were taken off his feet and he figured I did it… if anyone is into the paranormal investigations, I’d highly recommend this place.
Watched the entire Netflix docu series today. Was great in my opinion but I hated how they hyped it up for 3 eps as if it was a giant conspiracy to then rule it accidental drowning at the end.
100% I think these videos are good if done with respect. There are even some that can be funny like That Chapter (always aimed at the horrendous person who committed he crime) but still really respectful. Getting stories out there, with the correct facts, can only lead to people coming forward.

I’d love to know all the witness testimonies from that time or if there’s living family members with those stories that still live on. That and also the hotel needs to be uncursed, an energy healer or a physic needs to come in to clear everything out, either those need to happen or they need to take down the hotel.
