    *Anyone out there tried one of these variants? I'm giving up and getting an OSSC!!*
    Check out my follow up video where I purchased 1 final GBS that worked better than all of them and worked fine on multiple systems!

      I had an OSSC from Amazon, the good expensive version. It did not like switching resolutions, so that was a bit of a pain, then when I plugged in a gamecube cable (the expensive one), something terrible happened and both cable and OSSC stopped working! I got lucky and was able to send them both back for refund. Best thing would be to get a CRT but they take up room. When I need to capture or want the big screen, I use a retrotink scartx2. Hard to find in stock but it works perfectly, even with switching resolutions and has no lag I can notice.

      Something to consider is a scart split, once you plug it in, you never have to unplug, and also give you the chance to connect many retro consoles. This is the way I set up my games. I have a scart split, then I have a SegaMasterSystem, MegaDrive, Saturn, PCEngine, etc, using the same OBS-C without unplug the cables.

      @RetroRick1990 I have the best you can get and covered it in a video. 6 in 3 out, brilliant piece of equipment. All my old consoles stay plugged into my CRT permanently these days.

    The SCART cable input will break 100% in case you plug and unplug cables on it. It is just natural to break. I have one OSSC and the OBS-C. No issues at all. The connectors will break eventually in case you unplug and plug cable many times…

    I'm currently using a RAD X2 HDMi convertor for my Sega Saturn and have had no issues (its *very* sensitive though should you move the cable); I was using the cheap cables for a while and they seem to be 'ok' for a few months. My experience is to pay a bit more for a better quality cable. I honestly had good results downsizing screen size and now play my Saturn on a smaller PC monitor (with the RAD x2) and its looks amazing

      @@gameshack1985 ah really? it does cut out from time-to-time but thats if you move the cable (most of the time) but I have had a mostly good experience ... I have issues with 3rd party carts still trying to find a Pseudo Kai thats works with my Saturn

      @richfan10 my issues was the cable either not working, or giving poor quality picture similar to composite cables.

      I think it's just potluck on build quality and reliability, to be honest. Genuinely thought it was going to work a treat until it decided otherwise. I have notoriously bad luck naturally though...

    I think it is a sync issue with the capture card. I saw a RUclips video on how the frequencies change on a console to console basis causing the issue you described. ruclips.net/video/coSa8bxtVK0/видео.htmlsi=FYp5LSzNkP2WYW5Y
    The ossc also has sync issues with some capture cards. I would do a lot of research into this before you purchase anything. Even retrotinks and rad 2x cables say not to work in conjunction with elgato even if most of the time they do.

    • @gameshack1985
      @gameshack1985  2 месяца назад +1

      @inderjeetuppal6462 it purely depends if the Ps2 game supports wide-screen. If you can set a game to wide-screen in the options, it will fill the screen and look correct proportionally. If you cannot set it to wide-screen and force your TV to show it as wide-screen it will look stretched horizontally and look incorrect.
