Did you adjust the height of the valve to be lower? Does the float move freely? It looks like the float pushes against the plastic lever that closes the valve, does that happen on your Quietflow?
The same unit I purchased had a locking pin for the height adjustment, also the instruction provides advice on adjusting height based on cistern WL markings. Lastly would suggest tightening lock nut and connect pipe with tools rather than hand tightening. Video was otherwise informative. Thanks.
@@newideas4454 No, he said that the water is piped through a rigid pipe. Not the flexible hose that is on your toilet. He should have found that the rigid pipe does have a small amount of moment but please be gentle!
Thanks I will follow the instructions to replace the flush unit as demonstrated in the video, very useful video
You made me jump when you first reached to the nut at the bottom of the inlet valve before you turned off the water flow with the tap LOL
This is the second one for the basement bat. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxOuLt8IL_GxhhaK8DBuKEL-zV0UJVpWZn , works great
Would love to hear you explaining what you are doing whilst you are doing it
I know, sorry about that, this was done when I first start this channel, also my kids talking background, that's the reason.
Thank you. Got the same unit, installed everything but the water still fills up very slowly… any thoughts why? And how to fix that?
It might be a fault with the tap that turns off the water flow to the tank?
Thank you, exactly what I was looking for
Glad I could help!
Do you need to remove flushpipe and install bracket and nut?
No need to remove flush pipe.
Sorry I meant for the flush valve itself not the bottom inlet valve
No, you can replace this part only.no need to remove any other valve. Sorry if I missed anything.
Nice, Next time you should:
Put a Fluidmaster 400UK in and make sure properly no leaks
I’ve set it to the water level but it doesn’t stop filling up and goes straight down the over flow?
Mines doing the same, did you get it fixed?

My toilet doesn’t suck the waste away - it just spins in the bowl. It takes a few flushes to get rid of it. Can this be fixed?
Might something stuck in there. Use toilet suction pump
Does the tank fill to the recommend level? Can you increase the level of the water in the tank to almost reach the overflow point?

Great care should be taken when using tools to tighten plastic fittings.
