Columbus Day Urinalysis - UCMJ - Article 112a

Many service members will be subject to a urinalysis (drug screening, drug test) after they return to work from the Columbus Day weekend. Some servicemembers may have been exposed, knowingly or unknowingly, to an illicit substance.
Within several weeks after the test, some servicemembers will be notified their urinalysis was positive. Keep in mind servicemembers have rights under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). These rights include the right to remain silent, under Article 31(b) of the UCMJ and the right to speak with an attorney.
