    I wasn't quite on the hype train until the fight with Geoff Neil. Was super amped because it was gonna be a crucial test, and his performance was spectacular. GN is friggin' legit and the way he took Neil's best cracks and kept the pressure the whole time and even got the finish...Yeah, I'm on that train as well! Great fight.

    • @Muhammed-Muhammed
      @Muhammed-Muhammed 5 месяцев назад +27

      And the thing is Geoff Neal missed weight for 5 lb. And he was heavier then Shavkat for 10 lb on the fight day. That is why it was hard for Shavkat to take him down and he had to beat him up first and to choke him out in the 3rd round. If Neal weren't that heavy Shavkat would take him down and choke/TKO him in the 1st round.

      @@Muhammed-Muhammed How do you know their in the cage weights?

    • @Muhammed-Muhammed
      @Muhammed-Muhammed 5 месяцев назад +8

      @@keion_arknights Shavkat said in an interview that he felt that Neal's weight was around 90 kg. and Shavkat's cage weight was 85 kg. Shavkat wrestles with some 10 opponents at each training and they always check their weights. So he can determine the opponent's weight when wrestling.

    • @keion_arknights
      @keion_arknights 5 месяцев назад +3

      @@Muhammed-Muhammed Eh doesn't sound very scientific. Neal did look quite a bit heavier in the cage I suppose.

    • @Muhammed-Muhammed
      @Muhammed-Muhammed 5 месяцев назад +10

      @@keion_arknights Sure it is pretty subjective. There is one thing I know for sure. When a fighter cannot cut 1 last pound and his opponent refuses to fight him if he doesn't reach the weight limit this fighter spends 10 more hours in a sauna to cut this last pound getting rid of last water. There are 2 possible outcomes here:
      1) The fighter's kidneys stop working and he gets hospitalised (it happened to Khabib several times since he used to cut over 40lb - 20 kg.)
      2) The fighter manages to cut the weight but on the fight night he is as good as dead.
      And all this happens in case of JUST 1 lb, and Geoff Neal didn't cut 5 lb. !!!
      It was Neal's plan all along. He pulled off the 1st fight with Shavkat in January and then he decided not to cut weight. 5lb that he didn't cut meant that he would pay 30% of his salary to Shavkat but he would have better stamina, better chin, would be more difficult to take down, would hit harder and on top of that he would be 10lb heavier during the fight.
      If Shavkat made Neal cut that 5lb, Neal would die or pull off the fight, or if he by a miracle managed to show 170 lb, Shavkat would easily take him down and kill on the ground.
