- Flamenco Rumba - guitar solo and lesson. Tab.
This a long overdue lesson for the Rumba flamenca solo I uploaded in 2006. In 2020, I am surprised to see how much attention this little Rumba has received since it was first published. I found 50 covers. I just want to thank everybody who uploaded a cover version.

Sal you are a legend since the early days of youtube. You thought a many of us how to play guitar. thank you
I was a kid when I first saw your video. Now my kids listen to this. One song which inspired me learn flamenco guitar.
Grinned and smiled seeing those lefty fingers still limber and you still playing. I've past six decades and arthritis can and is a issue so play your heart out while possible, God bless.
The famous intro on your channel :) Thanks.
I'll make a not so famous talking intro some day.
Bloody hell, Sal. I remember learning this way back when you did the old video. Glad to see you back at it. Time to dust off the guitar and give this another go.
That was exactly my thought when making this video. Time to dust off the old guitar (and the LoFi video skeletons in the closet) and give it another go.
Oh my god i've been looking for a channel like this for so looong. FINALLY im gonna learn to play some nice rumba stuff. Thank you so much grandpa and keep it up 🔥🔥🔥
Не за что.
@@hersoveela responded in russian HAHA omg u are a genius :D
@@hersoveela Wow :)
Finallyyyyy!! Thanks Sal
It was inevitable. Sorry it took so long.
this one song back in 2006 was what got me to pick up the guitar! thank you Sal!
Once i get a guitar i will master this. it just sounds too good. Thank you Sal Bonavita!
You are brightening up a very dull day here in Dublin - as usual thanks so much 🙂
Glad I could help.
Finally.... Since the 1st video... Thank You Sir .... Greetings From Malaysia
Thank you. I learnt this tune like 6 years ago or more with the tab you put on the web. I like it very much but hadn't ever play any other flamenco. When I find a new guitar, or my old one I learn this again with the video and start playing. Thank you very much to share your work!
So helpful to get the tab and follow you going through the piece step by step. This is going to keep me busy for a few weeks! Thanks Sal👍👍
They say that those who cant do, teach and those that can do play!
Thank you very much for the lesson
Thank you so much😀
My pleasure
I remember grinding this rumba for days since there were no tabs and slow version on hopw you played this back then in 2006. I´ve grabbed my beloved guitar again and starting to practice again. :-)
Thank you Sal. I was one of the first to view the video in 2006. Great tutorial from you. Was wondering and worried about you. Very glad you’re back Sir!
Très bonnes explications et merci beaucoup pour les tabs. (France)
De rien. Merci d'avoir regardé
@@hersoveela again wow :)
Hi, Sal! Greetings from Russia) Thank you very much for your video! Your manners and the way you talk remind me of my father :) You are the best!
Thanks for telling me that. You made my day a little bit brighter
Thank you, Sal :) Working on your RUMBA:) The last part the "picato run" is the most difficult part for me, especially when you have to alternate right hand fingers. I used to play so that each finger hits its own string and it is difficult to change)) But I keep practicing as you said)))
@@afedotov001 Old habits are hard to break. Practice this run slowly, play each note clearly and relax the fingers after every stroke . You'll get it.
Esta muy bien 😃👍‼️
Wow ! this was one of the first videos I saw on youtube ! Thank you for this tutorial ! I love this song ! You are a great guitarist and teacher ! Thank you for sharing your technique , thoughts and experience
Love from Vienna !

Thank you for you kind words. You made my day.
Thank you soooo much 🌷
You're welcome.
Thank you for this! Very detailed and informative 😊
Thank you. I had other bits but they didn't really add much of value. I wanted to keep the talking to a minimun and the video under 20 min.
😊 impresionante!!!
Tres tres bien, merci beaucoup. Je vais travailler ça.
I'm glad to hear that. have fun
Wow! Super!
Thank you very much!

Hi Sal, unfortunately the tab for this one has a few mistakes when compared to the video. Your lesson is great and i was able to follow along and correct the tab. I really love your videos.
wait where is it wrong
Good day 👍sir, i am from Việt Nam 🇻🇳
Hello. Greetings from Australia.
Could you by any chance teach us how to play 'El porompompero'? 🤩
If I could play like that I would.
Hi Sal- What guitar and strings are you using?
The guitar is a Flamenco Blanca after 1951 Marcelo Barbero. Model MBF1AGSSCFPPU.
Made by Pepe Vergara in Southern California.

The strings are $3 Chinese brand called Orphee (NX36) I bought from Aliexpress. I usually buy D'Addario normal tension from the local music shop.
Lots of people was inspired to play guitar by this wonderful rumba. Hats off to you maestro! Here's my attempt to play this masterpiece: ruclips.net/video/cbIlNdoNAFw/видео.html
