EA really need a couple months focusing on bug fixing patches, I’d rather have that than another pack for a bit. A working game is better than more packs.

I find it kind of satisfying that Deli deletes every notification individually instead of all at once. It’s like closing all your computer tabs after an assignment
So I'm not the only one! I've thrown 2 birthday parties for Sims and they both blew out their candles and aged up and then next thing I know they are sad because their birthday was "forgotten". In this case it didn't seem like a glitch just that she didn't blow out candles, but mine definitely is glitching.
A work-around for the glitch is to move the birthday cake to a different surface. If you tried having them blow out the candles while it was on the counter, move it to the table, add birthday candles, and try again. So far, that's what has worked for me.
I figured out its a "space" issue. Make sure there is A LOT of space around the area where they blow out the candles to age up. It seems the new update requires ridiculous amount of more space.
@@ipla226 it's not a space issue for me. I bought a table and moved ot to the middle of the yard with nothing else and no one else around, and I was still having the issue until I moved the cake to the counter.
Deli! The blow out candles glitch is a pathing issue! The sim is looking for an open place to walk to age up, but doesn't find one, so they teleport and fail to age. Give them a table with more open space behind them and try again! Like this so Deli can age her poor sim!
Also James made the lot. He posted a video about it. Along with all the other creators who made the other lots for this pack. So we know what James made it lol

I'm so glad to see the direction this LP is taking now. Thank you for accepting our feedback so graciously, Deli! I really think the storyline will be much more enjoyable now that there is more focus on Sara's self development and on Kei. For the bugs, I'm planning on just doing building and CAS challenges for awhile until EA lets the Sims team fully fix this game. Less headaches that way! ^__^

Oh, Sarah, you had a far better birthday than some people. You're ex-husband gifted you a freaking drone, your friends all came to acknowledge your birthday at the bar, you had ice cream, you got a rare capsule doll and you leveled up on the rock climbing skill. That is a freaking great b-day if you ask me.
My game is still completely unplayable; it can't even get past the first loading screen. Your videos have been keeping me entertained, at least, but I hope the Sims team continue to try fixing the game, since their patch the other day didn't actually fix anything for many people.

I meaaannnnn even EA game changers along with smaller channels are playing with mods, CC and not incorporating gameplay from older and even recent packs. Facts for sure! Its ridiculous that the game is always broken or has various glitches, especially considering how much money they make off of us, continuing to buy packs in the hopes it will complete our game 😔
To make a snowboarding video you don't need the drone you can just press the slope and there will be an option for a snowboarding POV video. That is because it is a point of view and if you use the drone then it will follow you not make a video from what you see.
Also, you didn't start the yard sale. Also, I had the age up bug too. Every time I tried to age my sim up the teleported and didn't age up so I did it in cas.
Hey! I had the same glitch for the "aging up". It doesn't work from a counter top, you need to put it on the table and usually it works that way. I don't get why it is so glitchy :( It makes the game very frustrading. Great episode and great content, as usual, love you Deli ❤
I hopped on one of her streams the other day and people were telling her to change the pronunciation to what it is now. That’s probably why she changed how she says Miki and Kei
i literally haven’t even played since snowy escape came out. the update ruined the sim i was originally going to stream with on snowy escape and then it crashed WHILE I WAS SAVING my snowy escape family. i’m done until they fix it. i’ve started working 12 hour shifts everyday to keep myself occupied lmao.
I haven’t been able to really play since buying Snowy Escape 😭 it was shutting down, but the new patch made it to where it just gets stuck on the loading screen
You can make friends at work! You need to click on the little people on the person's tab while they're at work (where you would normally go to make them work hard or slack off or whatever) and click on socialize with co-workers! They should then make at least one friend during the working day! It works for children and teens at school as well if you do the same and click make friends I think! I love watching your videos so much, they really brighten my day ☺️

Yeah the game is quite broken for me as well after downloading snowy escapes. With my snowy escape save whenever I make my sims visit a lot, there is nothing on it. The lot deletes, just a patch of grass/snow. Which is extremely annoying because I had character stories for my sims and got really excited about playing them out, which I spent hours building up to.
I feel like it would be a great metaphor to Sara’s life if she makes it to the top of the mountain. She took a really hard climb but she made it. I feel like it would make her way more confident and her work will improve and she will know she can make it. :)
i saw the title and immediately could relate. Today I made my sim make a birthday cake and it took her 5 in game hours for her to put the cake in the oven. All the family had arrived hours before and then it ended.

If you shift click on the mailbox, you can disable the bag head thing. I find it so annoying in my game when I’m not focusing on eco lifestyle gameplay. Great episode btw! 💛

That'd be nice just change kei to his long lost twin and Sara doesn't even know and then one day Sara goes rock climbing and sees the real kei and then -TO BE CONTINUED-
I love this Lets Play, I can't wait for the two characters to move into separate households because I think it will be very interesting to see how they grow. I think now that Kei is more successful he will hopefully gain some more confidence and chill out a bit. That will help him out with his future realtionships.
My Sims were able to age up with the cake after I moved it a couple of times, seems to be that if there's anything remotely near them/the cake, the interaction fails

I know the game is broken AF for the moment but here an attempt to help out my fellow modoholics as much as I can: For everyone out there using mods and you are tired of the errors every time there is an update, I suggest the better exceptions mod from TwistedMexi. It shows you exactly which mod is outdated and in which folder it's located.
I'm having the same exact issue with birthday cakes D: my Sims just get teleported outside and don't age up and then they get a sad moodlet for "forgotten birthday"
I have dealt with a problem with aging up my Sims too. If I have a Sim blow out the candles, he or she glitches and teleports to a nearby spot before reappearing by the cake, and does not age up. The Happy moodlet for a successful birthday still appears though. I eventually have it work successfully after a couple more tries, but it’s frustrating!
It happened the same thing to me yesterday. Since my sim got the moodlet for the birthday I had to age her up in cas.... but it's a minor glitch comparing to the crashes I had before. My game is working perfectly fine with the hot fix except the brithday/aging up... *sighs*

I havn't had the aging problem to much. BUT my sims get stuck in place and wont do anything. I have to usually enter buy mode just to unfreeze them. Its been so annoying i've lost a baby because of that! Love this series though so dramatic!
If they are moving to separate houses in the same lot, maybe karaoke would be a fitting hobby for Keh. You could add a karaoke machine to the salon lot, and he would party with his coworkers. I wonder if leveling up his singing skill would help him with performance gain when he stays for karaoke nights.

Not only have I also had the birthday thing happening, but I changed one of the rental lots into a residential and it kept switching back to a rental lot and kept saying that I simultaneously have sims living there but also don't. Like, wouldn't let me play them. It's really broken lmao.
Anyone else entertained that Deli is trying to hard with the capsules, but Clare got her child sim to ask the mascot for one once and immediately got a 5 star and didn't even care 😂
I’ve had a ton of sims who record themselves fishing or rock climbing and upload it to make money! It adds fame too, but you can always cheat and adjust fame levels to your liking :)
Woaaah the ice creams work for you??? I can only buy produce from the market vendors even during festivals it's so weird!! Also, my sims, especially my toddlers keep going through the age up animation at least 3 times until they're satisfied that they've grown up.... such a broken game
I haven't watched the video yet, but just wanted to share my frustration. I've been trying to play through Winter fest for about three days now and it just keeps crashing. Clement is lost since it started, he just won't show up, even if I invite him over. I was so frustrated I jus stopped playing
I wish you could take your pets down the slopes! Have the big dogs run with you, the cat and small dogs on your snowboard! :O I hopes a modder could do this! would be awesome!
my sim blew out candles at least four times on her birthday and it didn't make her age up. like three sim days later she auto aged and was sad 'cause nobody remembered her birthday even though it was three days ago
I had issues ageing my sim up since it updated recently. However discovered that it was mainly when I had cake on a counter but seemed to work when I put it onto a dining table instead 🤷🏻♀️
I reported the cake issue. I also have been having issues with my sims not completing actions and they keep getting a thought bubble with a red exclamation mark in. It's an absolute pain!
the paper bag thing comes from neighbourhood vote plan, Sarah's neighbours voted for "we wear bags" and got approved and carried out within the community😆
The birthday cake is glitchy. I found that if you keep putting the candle back on and trying again it will work. Usually it only takes one extra time, but once for me it did take several attempts.
I thought it was only me!! My had my sims blow out candles twice and nothing happened. He got happy for the birthday cake but the when the game automatically aged him up he thought people forgot his birthday!
wait i’m really happy it’s not just my game. i was playing the 100 baby challenge and it took like 10 tries and 3 different lots for my kids to actually age up
I think Sara and Keh could get back together and have a stronger and more loving relationship. Since before neither were secure of each other. Personally I also believe Miki isn’t too good for Sara either. She knew she was married but saw her at her weakest and fed into it which seemed manipulative to me.To me her motives don’t look sit in the right place as Sara’s to me. I also think them moving homes is a good idea since all the past memories with the arguments and Baba’s death can be left behind in that neighbourhood and home and they should have a complete fresh slate. Also preferably it would be so cool if our sims could be added as friends for the LP :)💓☺️

It took me like ten tries to age up my sim. It worked after I moved the cake to a table instead of the counter.

I had the same issue! But I repaired the game through Origin and it now loads- still slowly but at least I can play!!

Level 6 rock climbing is enough for the mountain excursion, as long as you have climbing gear equipped and your needs are OK :)

Omg I had that too with the phone meeting in that carreer. I thought it was me, but now I know it's the game

It happened the same thing to me yesterday. Since my sim got the moodlet for the birthday I had to age her up in cas.... but it's a minor glitch comparing to the crashes I had before. My game is working perfectly fine with the hot fix except the brithday/aging up... *sighs*
My biggest pet peeve watching deli play is her not having on the auto lights... it would save her so much money with her bills!
Also, she never “listens” to their needs!! Both kei and sara have multiple needs in RED and she completely disregards them.

That glitch kept happening to me!! I’ve found if you place the cake on a counter with lots of space around it, they walk away and age up rather than glitching out and teleporting 🤷🏻♀️ ... so annoying
I wish Sara moved out to a tiny house 😍 Imagine a tiny house with a mix of furniture of this pack and Tiny Living 🥰

I havn't had the aging problem to much. BUT my sims get stuck in place and wont do anything. I have to usually enter buy mode just to unfreeze them. Its been so annoying i've lost a baby because of that!

If they are moving to separate houses in the same lot, maybe karaoke would be a fitting hobby for Keh. You could add a karaoke machine to the salon lot, and he would party with his coworkers. I wonder if leveling up his singing skill would help him with performance gain when he stays for karaoke nights.
Quick tip...Use the little trashcan at the top left of the notification list, to delete them all at once!
The tallest rock you can climb without going on an excursion is in the same neighbourhood as where your sims are living!

Not only have I also had the birthday thing happening, but I changed one of the rental lots into a residential and it kept switching back to a rental lot and kept saying that I simultaneously have sims living there but also don't. Like, wouldn't let me play them. It's really broken lmao.
Anyone else entertained that Deli is trying to hard with the capsules, but Clare got her child sim to ask the mascot for one once and immediately got a 5 star and didn't even care 😂

I've found the game really laggy since the update as well, usually after I've just closed build/buy mode - but it can happen anytime.
Ugh this happened to me too while aging up 4 sims in a row in the 100 Baby challenge. Eventually I gave up and changed their ages in CAS.
At least you can still play, the recent update means I can’t do anything.....
Same here... my game crashes every couple of minutes. It’s so annoying. I had this Sunday planned for playing sims all day long too :(

The phone thing isn’t a glitch just lock your sims in the bathroom or in the room cause there getting distracted or demand a promotion
I’ve had a ton of sims who record themselves fishing or rock climbing and upload it to make money! It adds fame too, but you can always cheat and adjust fame levels to your liking :)
This episode looked like a painful experience. Sims is broken. 💔
Woaaah the ice creams work for you??? I can only buy produce from the market vendors even during festivals it's so weird!! Also, my sims, especially my toddlers keep going through the age up animation at least 3 times until they're satisfied that they've grown up.... such a broken game
The “taste frosting” option should work for aging up!! I had this problem too!

Happy i'm not the only one struggling! It took me like 6 tries and moving the cake around a bit to finally get him to age up! So frustrating.

Clement is lost since it started, he just won't show up, even if I invite him over.

my sim blew out candles at least four times on her birthday and it didn't make her age up. like three sim days later she auto aged and was sad 'cause nobody remembered her birthday even though it was three days ago
Same thing happened to me!
I had issues ageing my sim up since it updated recently. However discovered that it was mainly when I had cake on a counter but seemed to work when I put it onto a dining table instead 🤷🏻♀️
I'm glad you can knit though! I bought the pack the last time it was on sale and I cant even knit
I reported the cake issue. I also have been having issues with my sims not completing actions and they keep getting a thought bubble with a red exclamation mark in. It's an absolute pain!
the paper bag thing comes from neighbourhood vote plan, Sarah's neighbours voted for "we wear bags" and got approved and carried out within the community😆
The birthday cake is glitchy. I found that if you keep putting the candle back on and trying again it will work. Usually it only takes one extra time, but once for me it did take several attempts.
when i tried aging my sim up by blowing out the candles i got the same glitch and had to “cheat” age them up.
I thought it was only me!! My had my sims blow out candles twice and nothing happened. He got happy for the birthday cake but the when the game automatically aged him up he thought people forgot his birthday!
wait i’m really happy it’s not just my game. i was playing the 100 baby challenge and it took like 10 tries and 3 different lots for my kids to actually age up

I think Sara and Keh could get back together and have a stronger and more loving relationship. Since before neither were secure of each other. Personally I also believe Miki isn’t too good for Sara either. She knew she was married but saw her at her weakest and fed into it which seemed manipulative to me.To me her motives don’t look sit in the right place as Sara’s to me. I also think them moving homes is a good idea since all the past memories with the arguments and Baba’s death can be left behind in that neighbourhood and home and they should have a complete fresh slate. Also preferably it would be so cool if our sims could be added as friends for the LP :)💓☺️
My game has been doing that sim not aging up thing. I go to blow out the candles and they teleport outside the house. So I just go into CAS and age them up
Level 9 rock climbing helps to get to the very top of the mountain :)
