Daggerwin I think you shouldn't waste too much time in the spring and summer. Hire workers for the drilling and fertilizing while you can mow, extend F1 for grass, work in the vineyard and olive grove. You need to get all of the productions underway.

i think the biggest issue with the fish farm is it takes up so much space being so big and its dull i think the modder coulda atleast put fish in the ponds swimming about and few workers walking about like in real life idk great idea for it just needs some work in my opinion but we all know wat they say about opinions,lol,enjoying the series keep up the good work
Hey bud, some calculations have been done on the fish plant and if you sold the corn and the pallets and didn't buy the mineral feed you would make $81,000 more money then producing fish... that's why people have commented why it's not worth doing fish as the ingredients are worth way more than the final product
Yes true and the mineral feed production isn’t worth it either. Cause the average price for 1000l of the crops is higher than the prize of Mineral feed.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the mineral feed factory isn't balanced for price. It is a mod after all. Though I can see one huge benefit to it. It appears to be a bulk output, not a palletized output of the mineral feed. Having not played this map (my PC doesn't run FS well), I'm not sure if there is anywhere else on the map to get mineral feed in bulk.

Yes it would bring in less money, but it’s not a lot now compared to all the other income streams. It also seems very artificial to be keeping perishable produce for up to a year to get the best price, as in reality it would be a rotten smelly mess and worthless!

Simple way to get cut sugar beets, park a running tractor with the cutting bucket at the dump, tip your trailer into the bucket, it will fill and cut by itself while you go off to do better things.

I had the same argument with someone about slurry as the fish farm loss of potential profit. See, slurry is free so it is cheaper to use than fertilizer, right? No. Because I can sell manure/slurry at a much greater price when you compare it to the price of solid fert and how much you need to apply. In fact, the amount of slurry it takes to double apply a large field would buy enough solid fert to cover every field on the map and then some. Now, add in a mod like the slurry yard that pays "cheat" prices for manure and slurry and you would be an idiot to just dump it on a field. Even though it is free product from your animals.
I think the issue with the fish are it takes a lot of resources for it for not much pay off. Theres also time, it takes forever to cut trees. A huge amount of wood cutting, bulk buying corn, plus all the other stuff for 4k a pallet
Hey dagger look you should make space in the farm of the machinery and implements like for example backing into the cow dung pit and to move the machines around the easily
Hi Daggerwin, I think most people are of the opinion that the planks and beams maybe even pallets are worth more than the fish so you loss money doing the fish.
I found the perfect mod for buying in bulk for seed and solid fertilizer it is the Piccin GAHG RO BR 2OOO, Piccin or at least that is what it is under in the store and all but the Elk Mountaion mods I got from the in game mod hub
Not too keen on the placement for the mineral feed factory.. probably would have been a better fit over at the fish complex, alongside all the other support facilities.
The fish farming is only profitable if you put the time and effort in to doing the processing yourself. If you purchase the materials required, your profit drops significantly

Close the doors to the cow shed, the robot will open it when it needs to get in. Looks better in the winter with closed doors.

Productions has changed his way of playing to make him a lot more likely to be less realistic. What you mention is a bit irritating to see.

If you are planning on doing more sugar beets or potatoes, I would suggest getting a root crop storage mod so you have a root crop silo/shed

You need some 2,40m forks to get 2 pallets at a time.
Put them sideways and you can fit 3 pallets on 2,4m. There is a modded forklift that can do that.

You go slower and consume twice the slurry or manure, but it counts as two applications of fertilizer instead of one.
