In just two visits I purchased 36 items (I am only slightly embarrassed!!!!😊) at $1.00 each-Including (but not limited to:🤣) 3 or 4 blazers; 3 vintage dresses; one wool winter coat; some basic staples(Mainly tops from really good brands!); several skirts, sweaters, blouses and vintage jeans; statement Grammy tops; elastic and high-waisted pants (so comfy!!); high-waisted trousers, AND... BEST OF ALL... a 1980’s black leather jacket/coat, with big shoulder pads, narrowing from above the waist right down to the hips! Big double-breasted buttons, a definite BIG STATEMENT of vintage coolness...incredibly soft and gently worn....it just is unbelievable (and, to be frank, the only way that I would be able to buy myself a leather coat at this time.and only $1.00! So much fun! So amazing! I have lost a bit of weight over this past year, and definitely needed a whole new (to me,) wardrobe!! Not being employed following several spinal surgeries,, I have had to do it on a budget, and mostly just did without! But now, thrifting has opened a new way of clothing myself and my family-while doing it affordably and quite sustainably (which is SO gratifying in itself!!). I've never heard anyone say " De-Pe-Shay". I've never heard of any controversy' about the pronunciation. And I heard DJs play them on the radio constantly in the 80's and not one of them ever pronounced it that way. It's an actual French word and French dictionaries list the pronunciation as 2 syllables.
