This video was so encouraging 🥹 I’m going to be applying to nursing school in a few months, and SO MANY older nurses on RUclips talk about how miserable they are and how much they hate their jobs 😩😭 It’s so discouraging 🥲 I really feel so passionate about this though… I’m 9 years into my current career working at one of the most prominent global financial firms and I’m literally giving it up and going to school just so that I can become and L&D nurse. I feel like it’s my calling and it’s just nice to see someone with such a positive energy who actually enjoys nursing ☺️💞
Let me just tell you…. WOW! YOUR ENERGY IS CONTAGIOUS! I’m not a nurse, nor is that why I watched this video, but you gave some advice that I needed to hear! Thank you so much for staying real, true to yourself! Keep posting these videos! We love them!
I'm still in nursing school (finishing semester 2) and I can totally see a lot of these things you point out happening in clinical. Thank you for making this!! and I would also love to hear about your experience with asking for a change in your assignment, dont be shy girl, share with us!
When I started nursing school you were a new nurse, now that’s me 🥹 You most definitely inspired me all along and always! 🤍 I love all of your videos, thanks for the consistency📺😍🫶🏻
I forget I've been posting for almost 3 years now 😭🤍 time flies!! Thank you for following along my journey! I wish you all the luck as you start your career 🥰
I truly appreciate you sharing your sound advice and experience with us! I’m actually scheduled to take an entrance exam for a LPN program very soon, so I’m so glad that I’ve come across your content/channel and other incredibly kind and positive nurses in the field. The plan is to start and finish LPN school, work for a bit, go back to become a RN and ultimately, become a L&D Nurse. This is a complete career switch for me, so I’m terrified yet excited for what’s ahead. I’ve heard it all about the ups and downs regarding nursing, but thankfully the good outweighs the negative and I’m grateful to have a supportive circle, especially those already in the field. It’s nerve wrecking yet exhilarating and I’m so thankful that I get to rediscover a new career path & passion of mine. Thank you so much for sharing and being of service! We need more people like you in the world! I’m humbled and inspired. Take care hun! 🩷🩷🩷
Girl!!!!! Everything you’ve said is totally true! I’m a cna2 local traveler and I loved it! I’ve traveled, bought things I’ve been wanting and pretty much get what, when and how much money you should be making. The nice thing about it is if you need a break then save as much and work for just one contract have a break and come back whenever you’re ready and recharged.
This is so inspiring to me. I am in nursing school at the moment I took a break last semester and I’ll be going back in the fall because I have six kids and it was just really hard for me. I needed to find a better routine and schedule so that everything would work out so I really appreciate that because I love RUclips I love contacts and I also have a very strong passion for Nursing and your comment about treating your patients as if they were your own grandma or your family member in the hospital that is honestly the most sincere answer I’ve ever heard because I feel the exact same way like and if you’re not there to do that, then why become a nurse so I just wanted to say thank you again for the inspiration and I’ll be watching a lot of your videos got a new subscriber for sure❤
uuurrrgggh! finally! Some REAL TALK positive vibes being a nurse! I've always been nice and kind nurse but it's true that the negativity around our profession dimmed my light .. THOSE BULLIES! and Yaaasss to CHOOSING YOUR WELLBEING AS AN ADVOCATE FOR YOUR PATIENT. Definitely Speaking Up is what I learned in my 10years of being a nurse (oh wow, just hit me now, I'm already 10years into this! 🎉)
I’m officially a 1 year old nurse! And all this advice is still great to hear and holds true for the rest of our career! Watching your vids is taking care of my mental health lol 🤗
Thank you for being so real! You just made me feel a lot more confident for graduation this May. I'm gonna be a newbie, and I'm already nervous. So huge, thank you!!❤
I want to get my BSN and RN and work on a labor and delivery unit and I graduate from med assist and I love your channel and it always cheers me up and makes me motivated
Obsessed with these videos! Any video you post, not just nursing stuff 😁 you're just so enjoyable to watch! I feel your channel is going to grow significantly once enough people see your videos!
I've been a nurse 14 years...and I want out!! 😂 the burn out is real. Ive switched specialities over the years, and i can honestly say just give me a job at target or something 😂😂
You are such an inspiration to me. I’m 18 going to paramedic school and planning on bridging over to nursing school. I currently work in South Florida in the ER and all of these experiences I have seen too! I get quite discouraged sometimes feeling that i know nothing, but learn so luch everyday. This video was my motivation to remind myself that things will get better! Thank you. Ive been watching you forever!!
Thank you for sharing Ms. Rachel🥰 I'm currently working in Cathlab for 3 months now (Philippines) and I love it❤️😊 I'm inspired by your videos🥰 and hopefully working in Florida soon🙏 I love my current unit now but also anxious if I could get into the Cathlab unit in my new hospital someday because the offered position is MedSurg but I love to grow and learned more so maybe after MedSurg I'll transfer to my dream specialty.😊 Thank you for the encouragement 🙏 God bless.
Rachel, thank you so much for sharing your experience. It helps me get an insight on how nursing is in the U.S. I studied nursing abroad (México), but i was born and raised in California. I definitely look forward to go back to the U.S to revalidate my studies and obtain my RN license someday. That's one of my goals.👩🏼⚕️♥️ Girl we have that same issue her in México, about the older nurses " eating their young", lol. I love being a Nurse, but when i was a student i had to put up with a couple of nurses that did not like their job. To the point that seeing the nurses that actually enjoyed their job, made them upset. It was hard working with those Nurses, but it made me see the type of nurse that i didn't want to be. So when i had to help a student, i always remember my own experience.
Thank you so so so much this, and for being the big sister I never had🤍!! I really needed this motivation!!! All of your content inspires me, and I hope to be an incredible nurse like you one day!💖🥰✨ Love you!!!
thank you so much for an awesome video!! i'm in my last semester of nursing school and i'm moving to miami after graduating so this is super helpful and reminds me it's okay to be excited! i was curious about the local travel nursing thing you mentioned. could you talk more about local travel nursing in miami? how does that work? does the 50 mile radius still apply? and how do you find out if a hopistal accepts local travel nurses?
Those were all great tips and advice. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. It was very informative. I’m not in the medical field but I feel like some of these tips can be applied to my own career. Also how do you get your hair wavy? It looks so beautiful. 😚
Thank you so much 🤍😭 for even taking the time to watch although it’s not really your thing! I use the Beachwaver wand linked in my Amazon storefront, I put the link in the description!
How did you become a cath lab nurse after a couple years? All the cath lab nurses at the hospital I work at have 15+ years ICU experience! 😭😭 I’m like pleaseeeeeee
Hola ☺️ siempre agradecida de tus Videos, podrías compartirnos la experiencia o contarnos como es para un enfermera extranjera trabajar como RN en tu país porfi ☺️🙏🏼💕
Can someone explain how a nurse can have nails? I'm genuinely curious as I'm looking to be a nurse and am aware I will sacrifice a lot but also want to know the reality of girls with nails
press on, sometimes just get nails done when on vacation or inbetween working if ur willing. if you’re doing more admin work/not much direct patient care they usually let u do ur nails. if u work in the hospital i heard some will let u with the impression that you will change the polish before the next shift.
I’ve been a nurse only a month & love it so far! Can’t wait for this journey. It’s hard when there’s so much negativity surrounding nursing lately
You go girl 🤍
