    Can you put the subtitle every videos ?

    • @bbclearningenglish
      @bbclearningenglish  8 лет назад +30

      Hello. We have been adding subtitles to most of our new videos but not to News Review. The conversation is not scripted but you can find out what it is about because we offer you a summary. It would be a good exercise for you to listen to it a few times and try to follow the conversation. You’ll end up understanding most of what each presenter says.

    I have a question, Can I use "striking" for other words as well?

    • @bbclearningenglish
      @bbclearningenglish  8 лет назад +4

      Hi Erwin Borrero. In News Review, we used ‘striking’ with
      ‘similarity’. But the word ‘striking’ also commonly goes with ‘contrast’ - for
      example: ‘There's a striking contrast between Amy’s and
      her sister’s attitude towards money.’ Also, we can use it with ‘example’:
      ‘Picasso’s Guernica is a striking example of modern art.’
