JNR railfan I hope future lines in the Philippines will follow the same design as MRT 2 or even better, hoping that the platforms are capable of 5 to 6 cars.
So pls tell me, When will MRT 3 goes back to this speed,, because right now it is very slow... and the train sucks.. DOTC should have this taken cared of by Japan Railway Inc. so that their engineers can check what is wrong with your signaling system and it will be upgraded to the latest software,, and we need more new model of coaches,.. pls... the passengers does not deserve this kind of transportation.. !! :((
@@KT4Dani The MRT-3 at that time is detiertorated and in poor condition because of corruption, after a corrupt transport official replaced its original maintenance provider, Sumitomo Corporation, and replace it with local, unexperienced, incompetent maintenance providers, this lead to glitches, parts replaced with fake ones, and even a derailment at Taft Avenue in 2014 (due to also human factors)... Luckily, the MRT-3 is back into high grade (original) condition, after the rehabilitation and improvements of the said rail syatem after Sumitomo Corporation returned as the maintenance provider, add to this is the introduction of 2 four car trainsets entered service this March 2022. @@FauxWhistle9262 I feel like this type was already manufactured like that, it was ment to be light rail vehicle from the start. But yeah the design comes from the KT8D5, which was a tram.
The last time that I rode MRT was on January 24 & 25 of 2019, when I watched a concert event held at SMART Araneta Coliseum in Cubao
Light Rail is not suitable for Metro Manila with large number of commuters, it needs heavy rail.
JNR railfan I hope future lines in the Philippines will follow the same design as MRT 2 or even better, hoping that the platforms are capable of 5 to 6 cars.
Weird that LRT2 uses heavy rail trains while MRT3 uses trams that are converted to LRVs
lrt 2 with heavy rail has fewest passenger while mrt 3 and lrt 1 with a lot of passengers use light rail 😅
@@mrjppizza6507 wait what mrt uses trams!!
@@limmatthewkelly The manufacturer of the MRT-3 rolling stock is actually a tram manufacturer. These are converted into LRVs.
It's April and MetroStars MRT-3 Are Available
Today MRT 3 have a biggest improvement it run again in 60kph and had done biggest overhaul under president duterte 👊🇵🇭
I follow this activities in internet - great work! :-)
MRT and Lrt helps a lot of commuters but still with many commuters it seem lucking track train to run, unless now it was improved.
glücklicherweise kommen ab ende des jahres neue wagen dazu. dann fahren 4er wagon-züge alle 2 minuten. :)

I dont know exactly...i was shocked, als i visit Manilas MRT3 in december again. Its very desolate infrastructure.
Now MRT-3's maintenance provider is back with sumitomo and Mitsubishi heavy industries to rehab the MRT-3
Good news, it now runs at 60kph
Niko 921 probably because of the pandemic and also they only allow limited passengers due to social distancing ..

if Sokor has Train to Busan, Philippines has TRAIN TO BUSET ahahahaha
hmmp... not funny... :v
Hindi na tindihan ang sinabi mo? e ano German or Filipino?
Czech republic
mrt 3 rush hour
Kung yan ay tram bakit diyaan yan dumadaa eh ang tram street car
ask the Dilawans :D
Vicente Amatril tram yata yung tren pero ignagamit nila pang commuter kesa pang street car
Haven't heard of a fast tram or light rail? Let's not limit ourselves to certain perceptions. Yung iba diyan samahan pa ng politics wala naman alam.
The CKĎ Tatra RT8D5M trains of MRT3 are LRVs (Light Railway Vehicles) manufactured from Czech Republic, the looks of it does remind me of a tram
@@FauxWhistle9262 How about dalian trains? Are they too converted from trams?
:o
These are not trams
former trams...
These Tatra trains were Trams that were converted to LRVs or Light Railway Vehicles.
But it looks like a tram

They are modified Tatra KT8D5, which are trams. Manufactured by ČKD Tatra.
Hindi ko matindihan parang german ito yata
:(
I hate that train
Is it because the motor noise is noisy?
OMG, why???
Manila MRT's trouble was caused by switching the maintenance company from a Japanese company to a Korean company.
4ever242 because of All the incovenience it cause most of the time
That Train should be replaced now and buy a new train set which have big capacity for more commuters
