Firstly. All 20 rings were meant to go to the elves (300-500years of his infiltration & deception down the drain.) but Mairon of the Maiar(primordial angelic beings in simple terms as they are sort of beyond angels) disguised as a high elf named Annatar when he came to the elves pretending to be an emissary from Valinor on behalf of the Valar so it makes sense how alluring the ring is and how strong it’s pull on people is. (A bit too instant in the movies though) Galadriel soon saw right through him and especially when after speaking with him regarding not remembering him when in Valinor long ago where she learned from all the Valar thanks to being dominantly Vanyar/Teleri side over her Noldorin side where she gleaned from that encounter that she did not study under Aulë the Vala with any elf named Annatar ! But later named Sauron by the elves meaning deceiver! After all of this, The three elven rings were made in secret without Saurons touch upon them thanks to Celebrimbor! Remember Gandalf before he became Gandalf was the same species of entity Sauron used to be!! Wow hey? The Rings in this case, would have lost their powers eventually due to the lack of the One Ring and possibly because they were designed to defeat evil, & evil in the form of Sauron had been defeated twice already in the past. The Three Elven Rings served their purpose for a long time. Two out of three of them had several different bearers Unlike the other Rings, the main purpose of the Three is to "heal and preserve", as when Galadriel used Nenya to preserve her realm of Lothlórien over long periods. The Elves made the Three Rings to try to halt the passage of time, or as Tolkien had Elrond say, "to preserve all things unstained". I can expand upon this based on any further statements & questions you have for me as a reply to this comment ! ❤ There is problem here with the Rings, the Three were supposed to be never touched by Sauron and that's why they were not corrupting…Sauron had not taken part in their making which made the Three more 'pure' unsullied by his dark power, unlike the Nine and Seven Rings! But Sauron in the show touched the very material they were made of!!! So technically he could have tainted them and corrupted! Even appendices of Lot tell us the order of making the rings, so they didn't even need the righs to more detailed writings in UT or Silmarillion: 1200 Sauron endeavours to seduce the Eldar. Gil-galad refuses to treat with him; but the smiths of Eregion are won over. The Númenoreans begin to make permanent havens. c. 1500 The Elven-smiths instructed by Sauron reach the height of their skill. They begin the forging of the Rings of Power. c. 1590 The Three Rings are completed in Eregion. c. 1600 Sauron forges the One Ring in Orodruin. He completes the Barad-dûr. Celebrimbor perceives the designs of Sauron. 1693 War of the Elves & Sauron begins. The Three Rings are hidden." 'Did you not hear me, Gloin?' said Elrond. 'The Three were not made by Sauron, nor did he ever touch them. But of them it is not permitted to speak. So much only in this hour of doubt I may now say. They are not idle. But they were not made as weapons of war or conquest: that is not their power. Those who made them did not desire strength or domination or hoarded wealth, but understanding, making, and healing, to preserve all things unstained. These things the Elves of Middle-earth have in some measure gained, though with sorrow. But all that has been wrought by those who wield the Three will turn to their undoing, and their minds and hearts will become revealed to Sauron, if he regains the One." - The 3 Elven Rings are not susceptible to “The One Ring” in any direct way.. They’re only tied by fate to lose their power if Sauron is defeated completely & absolutely. As they were made by the elves and as always they make things for a purpose and pour their literal spirit into things they create. So if Sauron is defeated then the three rings power will fade and basically become almost useless or diminished versions of their original design since by this era magic has bled from the world by a huge degree thanks to Morgoth’s poisoning the world itself with his very essence that he poured into it. Called The Long Defeat By The Elves and The Men Of The West.
Sauron has to earn the name which is a cursed name in elvish which carried a lot of power of diminishment to him. He loses his fair form and ability to take fair form again for several reasons after his body is pinned down by the entire island continent to the bottom of the sea. Númenor held several large countries. And had not yet even had the issue with elves yet. As it it was centuries before or after they were even born or dead by then. Also… rings creation was like 2000 years between it’s happening and her birth much later on or prior. So… yeah.
also, for someone who knows the lore so well, it's nice to see someone not COMPLETELY $#iT on the show. Most hardcore Tokien fans won't even give the show a chance... I like how open minded you are. great review!
I appreciate that comment alot and I try to be as open as I can. I find that film and tv today not just lotr but just in general (Like star wars and the Acolyte) is constantly ruined by having open minded discussions. Society use to do that all the time but over the last few years its just been about "this is trash, dont watch, I hate it not worth anyone time, if you watch it you are stupid" Film and TV is meant to be watched and meant to have discussions about it both negative and positive. People are also allowed to have different view points and thats what makes discussions so interesting, to listen to another person and see why they agree or not. There will be no outward hate here as I review the show. There will be honest and open dialogue. I may say, oooo I hated this part because xyz, but that does not mean no one else is allowed to enjoy it. My opinions will come from a Film/TV story telling standpoint (My background is in film and tv) with trying to balance the lore breaking issues as well. I go in knowing its not perfect, Peter Jacksons movies were not 100% accurate but the changes he made, made sense. So far for me what Amazon established in the first season did not make sense to me but I can give them a fair chance to change my mind season 2.
Amazon waited until Christopher Tolkien died early in the production of its DumpsterFire, his "demand" was that Amazon could use the Appendices to make the show, but they couldn't change the lore. As soon as Christopher died, Amazon delayed the show for reshoots, fired Tom Shippey who was the lead Tolkien scholar & friend of Tolkien himself; they wanted Jackson on the team. PeterJackson asked for the scripts then they ghosted him. Then later when asked about it he basically told them good luck.. You can blame this garbage show on Simon Tolkien (who Amazon used to get around all the laws and protections set around the estate and JRR Tolkien’s legacy), its stink doesn't reach Christopher. Firstly: they merge events (from thousands of years of history & build up towards several events but puts them all into one moment as if it’s happening in the same few years without time jumps or anything.) Guyladriel the murderous one dimensional girlboss heroine version of Galadriel never met Miriel(one of Aragorn’s ancestors) because, as an elf, she would have been sacrificed to Morgoth by the King's Men. The hobbits and Gandalf never met in the 2nd Age because Gandalf was in Valinor till the 3rd Age. Miriel wasn’t even born yet. She was born 300 years before or after the rings of power era. Also Elendil would never say “forget the past and toss it aside.” That’s the whole thing about the Faithful Númenoreans!!! Faithfulness to what’s good. To their elf friends. To the Valar, to Eru Îlluvatar. The way Galadriel acts like Fëanor when he isn’t seeing straight such as how she threatened bloodshed in the highest court of Númenor! The way she isn’t tall, the way she fights rookies doesn’t make her look strong. Should have had her spar with Elendil who was greater than Miriel in many ways even as far as lineage goes too! (Canon has her as a grandson or son so…) Have her spar with those greater Numenoreans and let the rookies laugh at their masters being vested by an elf woman holding back from actually hurting them! Now that’d be cool. (Remember. Their whole mantra was to write the book Tolkien never wrote”. Also watch them fake super fans. And then watch their social media that had nothing Tolkien on it ever. Like…. It’s painfully obvious what’s going on here. Same formula towards other titles. They’re just trying to bank on the brand of which that’s the only reason they did this. Just watch Peter Jackson’s new movie coming out and the War of the Rohirim. You’ll see that Brian Cox is involved In it along with Philipa Boyens as well as Actor for Èowyn named Miranda Otto. Fran Walsh I also believe is Involved as well! Watch George The Giant Slayer’s first video regarding the war of the rohirrim. It was beautiful. And he has a wonderful soul too. When I say first video. I don’t mean very first uploaded video though lol. ) There was also no Adar. No poppy. No Nori. No fake Gandalf who literally didn’t come the way he was supposed to which introduces Círdan. And since they screwed up the themes and lore so badly they have to dig in their heels. And they are also being sued by multiple people and groups and companies actually. The rings were forged last and not first. They were not in his sights or touch nor did he even know about them. And also guyladriel wasn’t a murderous Fëanorean either. But the note of the elven rings. They were made last and without the knowledge of Sauron. His touch never got to them. Made in secret so that whole story is thrown out the window as well. And making them first and having the obvious Sauron figure who wasn’t an elf to just be there when they’re making them and have his eye show up in the forge which wasn’t even the worst of it. The greatest of elven smiths still around which is Celebrimbor doesn’t even know what alloying is. Not to mention all their environmental scandals on top of bad CGI stuff. Full of copy past crowds and plagerisms up the wazoo. It’s also getting sued by several people and groups. I’ll also remind you that they just ran an old sick horse til it died of cardiac arrest and then only had a ten min coffee break to loosely honour this horse. Not to mention Tolkien loved animals in a deep way. They also have been causing environmental damage one of which being King Charles ancient forest to make a set. It’s scandal after scandal. And the fire in studio that took four hours to put out with firemen for yet another example. PS they don’t have the rights to the Silmarillion nor anything much of the second age let alone the first. Only the trilogy books and their appendices…. Remember that they also plagiarized tonnes of films in nontasteful instead of true a homage way… “tempest in me” but when threatening Fëanorean level bloodshed in the court of Numenor was from Cate Blanchett’s Elizabeth role which was done with grace and poise of a veteran actress(which doesn’t even sound like anything those of the great chill house of Finarfin would even act like. Again it’d be best to put Elrond there due to Elros. But ooook let’s make girlboss do everything. Even if it continues to make zero sense. )😍 fact they downplayed Elendil who’d never say to “forget the past”, Gil-Galad and Finrod is beyond infuriating and not explaining Elwing, Elronds mother beyond just showing her as a swan was pure LOLism. Like. What’s worse is Grandpabimbor…. Let’s not forget good ol’ Guyladriel either. The LOTR version of Star Wars’ Rey! Guyladriel the Female Fëanor without any of his charms and subtleties and wit… just the bloody violent rages… nope. They lost alot of viewers after their bait and switch behaviour. Hundreds reported shenanigans on their app where it’d force you to watch and episode twice in variously described circumstances. Bribed people left and right with things like that screening. Even the official critics fell asleep. Many longtime film analysts along with actors and film students/professionals give basic criticism and in depth look at the editing and so forth which causes it to fall flat on its face. Abandons plot left and right. Full of member berries. Just because we got fake Tom Bombadil doesn’t mean we’ll flip onto our backs to play with the jingling keys. Balrog wasn’t awoken until thousands of tears later. They’re horridly depicted scenarios which often aren’t canon: were separated by hundreds of years. Some of them by thousands. Not cool. Amazon is known to be corrupt. Huge connection to BlackRock. Bezos bought a dying news paper so he could weasel his way into some form of power to control narratives. Bought his way into involvement with the CIA. Also. They were caught bribing people with their food deliveries etc to watch the show too. Then bragged they had big numbers in the beginning but several people dropped the show. Hundreds more continue to watch for analysis purposes for some of their videos.
I appreciate all your comments, I recognize your amazing passion for Tolkien. There is alot to go over not in only this comment but in your others as well so I am going to respond to this one since its your longest. I am not sure if my stance on RoP was unclear or misunderstood or if you are just trying to remind me of real world events and the lore to support/share similar views on the show but I would like to reiterate that I did not enjoy RoP season 1. I watched it to make content to talk about its flaws and what it could have been done differently to make it more appealing to both readers and non readers of the books. The process for making rings of power season 1 was indeed massively flawed day one. The direction they wanted to go and the choices they made worried many people including my self but we tried to have hope. Then it was released and were left disappointed. I really hope Amazon has learned from their mistakes they stick closer to the lore now and hopfully they have found a way to fix their timeline issues and events in terrible order, though I know it will be hard. At the time of making this video I said there was potential because the trailer itself shows a much more eventful and exciting season as a tv series. If you look at season 1 as just a show and not a LOTR show, its terribly slow and boring and lost alot of viewers not just because of lore issues but because of passing and dialogue/character issues for a show. Season 2 shows potential to fix that. I like to remain open minded and give studios a chance to fix their mistakes but if they mess up a second time thats it, I will accept that its a lost cause and stop watching. (Though I will suffer through more seasons just for content creation as well its what I do) I will be making one more video before the release of Season 2 as a final predictions, fears and hopes, that you might enjoy as I delve a little bit more into the interviews of the actors and we can laugh and cry at the outrageousness that I fear is coming with Season 2.
The three elven rings were not made to combat Sauron's corruption, they were made after Annatar left Eregion, but at this time, Celebrimbor didn't know he was Sauron, and he made the rings the same way he was taught by Annatar/Sauron, it's just that Sauron wasn't there to touch and corrupt them. It's only when Sauron made the One Ring and started using it, that the elves felt his power and understood they had been deceived and decided not to use those three rings until Sauron would be defeated. What happens in the show shakes things up a bit in term of chronology, but not that much in term of logic. Halbrand/Sauron was here to work on the rings project with Celebrimbor, but he wasn't there to touch and corrupt the three rings (and we're not even sure he would have done that, he may have had no ill intent until Galadriel rejected him and showed him that redemption was not really an option for him). Than Halbrand will come back to Eregion, Celebrimbor was told not to trust him, but since he doesn't know why, he'll be tempted to do it anyway because he never made so much progress toward his goal of matching his grandfather's greatness than when he worked with that Southlander. However, Halbrand will still have to answer to why Galadriel cast him out and told Celebrimbor not to trust him, and that's when (unless i'm wrong), he will turn into Annatar and say that Galadriel had found out he was lying about his identity, but now he can tell the truth, he was sent by the valar to investigate and help the people of Middle Earth. After that, they will make the 7 and the 9 (probably directly for the dwarves and the men instead of doing them for elves originally in the books), but he will touch and corrupt them.
The chronological part of it is also a bit based on logic as well. Like I get that in Amazons world it makes total sense on why they would be concerned about using the rings since Halbrand/Sauron helped make them. That part makes sense. But in terms of it changing the lore it makes things confusing and causes alot of weird problems they need to solve when if they just stuck to the lore already it wouldnt be a problem. The 3 were never made with Saurons presence so he could never influence them the same way and because they were made without him, when he found out about them it made him extremely upset and its kind of what started the war (not fully just one of manys reasons that caused Sauron to act when he did) and because they used the rings later they never were worried about being corrupted. They were worried about Sauron getting his hands on them for sure so they didnt use them against him in the Battle of the Last Alliance. But the rings were used and they didnt fear his corruption. So the way they are acting in the trailer just contradicts alot of what happened and it just makes me confused on how the events will play out. But its a trailer and they can be misleading so only time will tell.
@@morgomirwd no, they were afraid to use them and only put them back after Sauron's defeat at the battle of Dagorlad. And the three were not made without Sauron's influence, they were made following the same recipe that Sauron gave to Celebrimbor, they were just not made in his presence, which means that he was unable to corrupt them. And it's the same here, except that unlike the books, and because of the changing of the order of their creation, we will get to see the elves use them for a bit, and i think it's a good trade of because having those three rings of power never be used in a show called "rings of power", that would be a huge missed opportunity. The elves learned that Annatar was Sauron when he put on the One Ring, before that, they didn't know, and they learned it through their own three rings because they felt the power of the One Ring starting to take over their own rings, that's why they immediately removed it, they would not need to do that if they were not afraid of their rings being corrupted by the One. The thing to understand is that Tolkien didn't really write a full narrative of the second age, it's mostly just a chronolgy in the appendix of Return of the King and some backstory disseminated here and there in the Lord of the Rings, and some bits of narrative in the Silmarillion... And because of that, Tolkien didn't have to care about some aspects like expectations and frustration of the audience... but the writers of the show do have to care about that, and i can tell you that in a show called Rings of Power, if your main protagonists have three rings of power but never use them, your audience will be frustrated. It would be like in a Star Wars show, for example, having a main character being called again and again through the show "the greatest lightsaber duellist ever" and still, never show the audience any glimpse of him using a lightsaber because unfortunately, the timeframe of the story you are telling involves no lightsaber combat for him... The audience would hate that, they would feel they have been robbed of what they were teased for.
yes I know they were made using the same "recipe" but he wasnt there to poor his corruption and taint the rings this pissed him off. ANd yes of course they will use them in the show, amazons show follows different rules cause you are right at this point if they dont use them it would feel pointless. But that is my concern is all im trying to express. Because the show has taken its own path it has messed with so many different plots and events. They could have easily decided to start with the 9 rings and the elves watch this "lord of gifts" corrupt these 9 kings of men. But amazon decided to pick the elves first because for whatever reason they really want to try and show the elves decline in the world by making them sick and need mithril to survive their sickeness/corruption of evil and then now im guessing show their decline and greed for magic and power through these rings and then be at odds on what to do with the rings. Basically they are creating their own problems and then solving them when they could have had a much easier time and a more fluid story line by just following what Tolkien wrote. Or at least follow it more. I would have to double check but im pretty sure that Imladris was built ether just before or shortly after The Seige of Eregion during the War of Elves and Sauron. Once it was built Elrond used the River to protect his borders which he used the power of his Ring to do so. Which all was before the Battle of Dagorlad. I also believe that Galadriel used her ring to help build "parts" of Lothlorien or used it to create mists and magical barriers to protect her land and people also before the Battle of Dagorlad. Maybe those events were shortly after but im pretty sure they were all before.
Yup. They were created after the one. As to be a response to the threat. The name Sauron is a cursed name given to him by the elves power of speech and song.
@@morgomirwdnope. The three were not touched by Sauron. Goodness. Which books have you read. Which of the giant Tolkien lore channels have you watched ?
Remember, Amazon's version of the 2nd age is not Tolkien. It is a perverted vision of what should have been, if the show leaders and chief writers had stayed true to the original canon. but we both know, fellow Tolkien Lover, that this is an absolute violation of the vision and canon that the great Professor laid down. Really what our speculations Should be is........how far from or how deep are they going to take their perversions and distortions. Amazons Rings of Power are a catastrophic failure. It's a bunch of mumbo jumbo BS that is meant for the uninitiated! It is eye candy at best........ at best! It is a tragedy what Bezos has done with this sacred work! Tolkien rolls over endlessly in his grave, and I weep endlessly as well. A sign of the times my friend, a sign of the times! The timeline presented in Amazon's Rings of Power series does not align with the original Second Age canon created by J.R.R. Tolkien. The series makes several changes and combines events that are separated by hundreds to thousands of years in the original source material, leading to inconsistencies and contradictions. Many Tolkien fans and purists have criticized the show for its departure from the original vision and disrespect for the lore created by the professor. The series is seen as a disappointment and a sign of the times, with some fans even claiming that it is a violation of the sacred works of Tolkien. Sacred because so many peoples lives were saved and transformed by all of his scholarly work. ❤
Sauron did not assist in the making of thee Three and his taint was not directly upon them, but - as they were partly created according to the craft taught by him to Celebrimbor - they were under the control of The One Ring, too. „Now Celebrimbor was not corrupted in heart or faith, but had accepted Sauron as what he posed to be; and when at length he discovered the existence of the One Ring he revolted against Sauron, and went to Lórinand to take counsel once more with Galadriel. They should have destroyed all the Rings of Power at this time, "but they failed to find the strength." (J.R.R. Tolkien, Unfinished Tales, The History of Galadriel and Celeborn, page 256)
RIght, that makes sense. However because the rings weren't tainted by him they would not corrupt the Elves the same way as the 9 or the 7. Though they could be controlled by the One, it did not prevent the use of the 3. Elrond = Fords of Bruinen Gandalf = against the balrog Galadriel = source of her magic overall . These are just examples and were used in more ways then just one. So thats why I feel confused when the trailer shows Elrond and the elves being concerned about being corrupted. I understand that in this world that Amazon created why they would be concerned, but thats just not how it was in the written stories. Which is why it bothers me. But it is good to be reminded that they WANTED to destroy the rings but chose not to. So if the show maybe focuses on that specific part and ignores the "we could be corrupted" it would help me and others accept it more.
@@morgomirwd These examples are all Third Age, not Second Age. The Elves immediately took off their rings when Sauron put on the One for the first time, and they did not wear them again for 2000 years until Sauron was finally defeated in the Battle of the Last Alliance, and Isildur cut the One Ring from his hand. At _this_ point of time in the Second Age Elrond is rightfully worried about the Rings, because Sauron taught Celebrimbor how to make them. And he says "you all". Maybe he is not only talking about the 3, but the 9 and the 7, too.
@@anni.68 Correct cause there was the debate the elves had about wanting to bring them or not to that battle then Gandalf eventually getting the one since Elrond and Gil galad were going, Cirdan gave his away as. (not saying Elrond or Gil Galad gave their rings, just saying that they didnt bring them). My point is though that the rings were still worn, yes not till later, but still worn and used including Elrond, with Sauron though not his full power was still around and a real threat. But it just comes back to, because Amazon had the Elven rings made first it creates alot of confusion and interpretation around the story. When if they were just made last like it was in the story it wouldnt be a problem. I totally accept why Elrond is worried though in the show, like I get it, he should be worried. But I guess just at first glance for fan of the world its a big jarring is all.
Are they barrow wights?? That worries me not because it breaks lore technically (which it does) but it potentially ruins the origins of one of my favourite stories of middle earth. The Witch Kings reign and the destruction of Arnor. The Barrow wights are a huge part of that story so I would be very sad to see barrow wights added without seeing that full story come to light first.
Thank you for this. I wonder now if its used as just a generic term. Like all wights are just "Barrow-Wights" but they dont specifically mean the wights from the Barrow-Downs. They are super cool and I LOVE the look at them and I enjoy that we are seeing them. I am just that they are around before we see the cool stories and lore behind how they got here if they are indeed BARROW-DOWNS Wights.
The timeline is all wrong. The 3 were forged by Celebrimbor AFTER the 1 Ring was made. Made in response to the threat of the One gaining dominion over the lesser rings and their bearers. We haven't got there yet. Elronds concerns over Sauron controlling the Three makes NO SENSE in this timeline. That particular threat has not materialised yet. The One Ring doesn't exist yet. This is CRUCIAL, it's not a minor oversight. Sauron is not even aware of the Three until he creates the One. They've wrote themselves into a corner and are hoping people don't notice. Please! Don't they understand Tolkien fans at all haha? Probably not because they certainly don't understand Tolkien. Many events from this show don’t ever reveal that they’re indeed separated by 500 to 1000 years a pop. It wasn’t happening all within the same 5 lol
Exactly. Its my biggest issue with Season 1 the order of the rings is SUPER important but what happens in Rings of Power just makes no sense for the timeline or even from a storytelling perspective.
Yeah it's understandable that Elrond would have doubts about the elf rings even if he is wrong that they are corrupting. I don't think Celebrimbor is 'seeing a different face' I think he believes Annatar is Halbrand's true form that he is finally revealing to him to regain his trust. I don't know how you can be a king of men and not a person of note, but I feel that Pharazon's story needs to end with the fall of Numenor. Thanks for your thoughts. I'm looking forward to season two. I'm looking forward to Tommy Bombs and his duet with the Stranger. All looks good to me.
I agree that Celebrimbor is most likley seeing Halbrands true form and being like oh so THIS is why you know stuff, cause you are actually an elf guy. Within the context of the world that Amazon created it makes sense in that way. Where that element is a struggle for me is the whole Galadriel knows its Sauron. So ether she STILL doesnt tell anyone or she tells people and that information doesnt get back to Celebrimbor somehow or he just doesnt care. (there could be other reasons those are just my immediate thoughts) Then of course I still always believe, if it was annatar to begin with and he didnt do the whole reveal to Galadriel and followed the order of the rings correctly it would make more sense in the end.😂 I really hope they do Tom right, I am super worried but at the same time I love seeing him because he never got his time in the movies. So heres hoping!
@@morgomirwd well we see in the trailer that Galadriel tells Gil-Galad and elves at Lindon about 'this man' being Sauron. I wouldn't be surprised if Celebrimbor is in the dark on that, or just seduced by more flattery. I'm fine with them mixing the order around for the sake of dramatic TV storytelling. The appendices and the Silmarillion are purposefully delivered as dry histories, and although the first season struggled to find the right balance, I am mostly good with where they are going. It's an immersive world and there's lots of treasure.
That’s fair. I just think there could have been way better dramatic television by following the lore and Annatar helps celebrimbor make the dwarven rings, Elrond delivers one to his friend durin. And now Durin watches his father go made because of it while blaming Elrond for it. While that’s going on you have Annatar now go back to Numenor and the south lands deliver the rings of men and watch their demise. Elf in the south recognizes the evil and runs to Eregion to tell Gil Galad, Galadriel and Elrond what’s going on. They approach celebrimbor with the facts, he’s upset and now they make the 3 elf rings in response. This pisses off Sauron BOOM he reveals himself and now siege of eregion. Nearly the same story but slight differences making it more exciting and believable and closer to the lore.
Keep in mind, elrond could be saying that about the elven rings because they see the effects of the man and dwarven rings and are skeptical of the elven rings acting the same. The trailer makes it seem like they are made at the start of the season when it could be later on. Galadriel does say “guiding me” which makes me hope that the elven rings are actually free of saurons corruption like the original lore states. For people who are confused why the one ring can control them, its cause sauron is the one who taught them how to be crafted and therefore knows how to craft the one rings with the ability to control the rest. The same way someone teaches someone how to code, but the teacher knows the backdoor into that code.
I apprecaite this comment because I had this thought as well. Trailers are always misleading so we do have to take them with a grain of salt. We could be seeing the end of the story at the beginning of the trailer so to speak. I did also notice that "guiding me" comment, so I totally agree this is a hope that the rings are free. If they arent free I am going to have a real issue this season 😂 I still thing all of this could have been avoided if they just stuck to the story to begin with and had the Elf rings made last 🤣
The flaming eye appeared in the basic human forge and so he had his touch on them and Elrond yelled at her like he yelled at isildur in the movies. Lol. More member berries
Why do y’all keep bending over backwards to make sense of what they intentionally are doing. And lack there of… they openly don’t know what they’re doing and they are openly saying they’ll write the book Tolkien never wrote and said middle earth is too white
Thats a good call. I didnt think about that. I loved Adar in Season 1 so getting some back story or some more context on who he is and what happened between him and Sauron would be fun to see I think. (if you got two notification I am sorry, I thought I replied but then I guess it didnt go through??? Or it did go through and I just dont see my own message anymore 😂)
@@morgomirwd thats what I think its going to happen and believe it or not... the trailer showed many spoilers I think they shouldn't have showed but I get it so people get hyped... for example I think in the trailer (Spoiler Alert maybe?) they literally showed the moment when Adar "kills" Sauron (?) Anyway I just want to avoid more spoilers till 29 august... I read (lets say) many things I shouldn't have in reddit and twitter before s1 start😂
@@AgX_28 Yes there is alot of potential spoilers I have also read for Season 2 and because of how serious they could be if they are true. There is no way I wanted to talk about them in this video. We will have to see indeed.
Real Amazon Worker Tallacus says: “As someone who works for Amazon and who is a lover of fantasy, I am grateful for the coverage of this abomination. I work my ass off at my local Amazon Fulfillment Center and I just weep at the fact Amazon cares not for the slave force that made them able to pay for this horror of television. The worse TV show since Kurtzman’s Star Trek Shows”
There is problem here with the Rings, the Three were supposed to be never touched by Sauron and that's why they were not corrupting…Sauron had not taken part in their making which made the Three more 'pure' unsullied by his dark power, unlike the Nine and Seven Rings! But Sauron in the show touched the very material they were made of!!! So technically he could have tainted them and corrupted!
Even appendices of Lot tell us the order of making the rings, so they didn't even need the righs to more detailed writings in UT or Silmarillion:
1200
Sauron endeavours to seduce the Eldar. Gil-galad refuses to treat with him; but the smiths of Eregion are won over. The Númenoreans begin to make permanent havens.
c. 1500
The Elven-smiths instructed by
Sauron reach the height of their skill.
They begin the forging of the Rings of Power.
c. 1590
The Three Rings are completed in Eregion.
c. 1600
Sauron forges the One Ring in
Orodruin. He completes the Barad-dûr. Celebrimbor perceives the designs of Sauron.
1693
War of the Elves & Sauron begins.
The Three Rings are hidden."
'Did you not hear me, Gloin?' said Elrond.
But all that has been wrought by those who wield the Three will turn to their undoing, and their minds and hearts will become revealed to Sauron, if he regains the One."

The 3 Elven Rings are not susceptible to “The One Ring” in any direct way..
(Canon has her as a grandson or son so…)
Have her spar with those greater Numenoreans and let the rookies laugh at their masters being vested by an elf woman holding back from actually hurting them!
I don’t mean very first uploaded video though lol. )
There was also no Adar. No poppy.
Remember that they also plagiarized tonnes of films in nontasteful instead of true a homage way…
“tempest in me” but when threatening Fëanorean level bloodshed in the court of Numenor was from Cate Blanchett’s Elizabeth role which was done with grace and poise of a veteran actress(which doesn’t even sound like anything those of the great chill house of Finarfin would even act like.
Again it’d be best to put Elrond there due to Elros. But ooook let’s make girlboss do everything. Even if it continues to make zero sense. )😍
fact they downplayed Elendil who’d never say to “forget the past”, Gil-Galad and Finrod is beyond infuriating and not explaining Elwing, Elronds mother beyond just showing her as a swan was pure LOLism. Like. What’s worse is Grandpabimbor…. Let’s not forget good ol’ Guyladriel either. The LOTR version of Star Wars’ Rey! Guyladriel the Female Fëanor without any of his charms and subtleties and wit… just the bloody violent rages…
nope.
Really what our speculations
Should be is........how far from or how deep are they going to take their perversions and distortions.
Aparently those wraiths are supposed to be the Barrrow Wights. They look incredible! They did a small snippet on JUST those creatures.
@@morgomirwd ruclips.net/video/SEbAujVr9pM/видео.html
(there could be other reasons those are just my immediate thoughts)
Then of course I still always believe, if it was annatar to begin with and he didnt do the whole reveal to Galadriel and followed the order of the rings correctly it would make more sense in the end.😂
I really hope they do Tom right, I am super worried but at the same time I love seeing him because he never got his time in the movies.
I want it to be good. Here's hoping!
7:32 I think this is a flashback scene
