    What kind of battery life are you seeing with this? I presume you are using some sort of sleep/wake scheme for the microcontroller. Also, are you finding any problems with accuracy or repeatability?

      I wouldn’t use it on something serious and the power usage isn’t crazy

    maybe sensor shorted on the metal bowl? no idea but great video

      YUP! lol only realised after that the tape i put on the back of the sensor didnt cover all the contacts

    Do you know how to make this sensor waterproof?
    Om about to make auto pump with two water level sensor , one on top and the other one on bottom.
    What should i do to make bottom sensor is waterproof? Any clue/idea?

      There’s other types of water level sensors some probably better for waterproof applications, if you really wanted this one I would recommend looking into rubber coatings

    And to measure greater depths what can i use? Anything other than an ultrasonic sensor?

      You could make your own model based off this one, but there are other "water level" sensors out there bit.ly/2WekPLA

      @@MikaelAbehsera thanks for the link. I was looking for more water sensors, hadnt got around to it. This is a good push.
      Your explanations are good.

      You could make a capacitive level sensor but you will generally need to make it part of an astable frequency generator circuit and then convert that to a voltage for easy of measurement. Search on RUclips for capacitive level sensing and you should find a solution along with explanation.

    does this also detect fuels or gasoline?

    • @MikaelAbehsera
      @MikaelAbehsera  11 месяцев назад

      im guessing yes, but i would not try as it could short and ignite the fuel. best is to do a system like cars have, avoid electronics near the liquids!
