Chester was and Linkin Park were instrumental in my sobriety. His death is heartbreaking and I've shed many tears for him. My period of mourning is over. It's now time to celebrate him and his music. Only his body is gone. His soul has moved on and he lives.
Don't ever apologize for crying Bill, our tears can unite us as humans. I'm just sorry that Chester's demons were ultimately triumphant & now he's been added to the list of talented musicians who were lost too soon. May they all have found the peace they couldn't seem to ever find here.
So many people, my age, older, and tragically, younger, have left us of late. It's so sad. When ANYONE dies I feel it's an indictment of the entire human race- we are all we have and to let someone else down so badly that they DIE... We are all we have on this earth and if we don't look out for each other no one else will.
Chester was the voice of a generation. You can tell he put every ounce of effort into is music. It's so sad how the people with the most powerful minds go so fast. I think music saved for as long as it good. And that's one thing about music. When it hits u, u feel no pain.
NearlySeniorCitizen I really appreciate your empathy for Chester and his loved ones. I think it takes a really big man to allow the world to see you cry. I honestly just have to tell you I like and respect you so much.
You weren't the only one tearing up here, sir. Although I had branched off of listening to Linkin Park, they were such a huge influence for my love of alternative music. And Chester is so legendary, a person MANY people looked up to and respected. Especially for this new generation. Hes so talented an irreplaceable. My heart goes out to Chester's friends and family. Rest in peace, Chester.
This is the song that introduced me to Linkin Park. One of my friends played it in class for one of our assignments. The news about Chester hit me harder than the other celebrity deaths in recent months, mostly because, even though I can't say I was/am a big LP fan, songs like this one really spoke to me during my teens. People talk about Cobain and co. being the voices of a generation; Chester was definitely a voice of mine.
Nooooo don't apologize for crying. We miss him too... I broke down crying when I heard he died. He made such an impact on my life and is the reason I'm still alive today.... I feel u buddy, and we're all going to miss him
Thank you for understanding the meaning of this song and the emotions behind it. Your tears are what is needed. Indifference solves little. You have a beautiful kind heart sir.
sorry if I may be rude, but I am quite drunk and indifferent: so, would you react to One more light? it has become my favourite song and i am interested in how you would react to is
As someone with depression, his death both scared me but I could understand. I had a nightmare that same night about him and when I woke up, I was devastated. The one man that got me through hell was gone. Chester will never be forgotten, he's a part of everyone that took his voice, words and messages to heart
@@williamroebenhey NearlySeniorCitizen idk if you still do music reactions but Linkin Park is back with a new singer Emily Armstrong from the band Dead Sara you should check out their new song called The Emptiness Machine
i was born in 2005, around the time linkin park was growing hugely. My dad grew up listening to linkin park. So he got me into their music around my age of 4. He knew chester in person as well. I had a rough childhood with my parents. My dad was an addict, and before you knew it i was separated from my parents with never seeing my mom since then and my dad visiting two to four times a year until 3 yrs ago when i turned twelve. He started doing drugs again, And last year i heard from my aunt who heard from my mom that he had sadly committed suicidal overdose from heroin, No clue whether it was intentional or accidental. I then over time struggled into depression when in late 2019 i was placed in a mental hospital, then another one, then a temporary replacement home. Now i am back with my family and nothing's really changed. I'm still struggling. But listening to chester sing brings light to my day but always makes me cry at the same time. Rest in peace dad and Chester.

Thank you for making this reaction video. LP are one of my fav bands! I am so heartbroken about his death, even till this day. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it💔 such a talented, kind hearted man. He didn’t deserve to go through what he did in his childhood. He suffered with abuse, and rape when he was only seven up until he was 13. 😭 He was bullied and teased at school, his parents divorced when he was 11, and he fell into drugs and alcohol addiction. May he RIP❤️

Never apologize for showing your emotions, especially as a man. Society has trained men to keep things bottled up, and they wonder why men commit suicide at a rate 3x more than women. Let it out, it cleanses the soul.
I still cry when I hear his voice. Suicide is a very tricky and controversial topic, but I'm glad that people are starting to discuss mental health more and working on de-stigmatizing it. I lost someone I loved very much to suicide 6 months before Chester passed. I was really mad at my friend after the horror of it all began to wear off, but then it hit me...he had previous attempts as a teen and had been in his 30s when he died. I thought, "Who the hell am I to demand my loved one stay here, when they've been suffering and fighting for so long, just because I'm not ready to let them to go?"The year before my friend passed I had been drugged and raped and I had always sorta assumed I could sorta understand that trauma, but I didn't. Not until I was smack dab in the middle of it and my mind was doing it's best to deny it all. After the rape and my friend passing, my suicidal ideation went up (for people with chronic pain it's common to have a little). I once again found myself in a position that I thought I understood. It's so easy for us to judge someone else's actions even when we have NO IDEA what that person was actually experiencing. (I'm doing better now, just an FYI). As people, we really need to work on our judgment of other people and work on empathy. Thank you for your reaction to this...I felt it all with ya.
You miss him,sir??😞..yes we all always miss and loves Chester so much😊😢❤...thanks for watch his song😊..I'm too shocked about his death and I'm literally crying for him😢
Great video. No one will ever have a voice like Chester, ever. Such a powerful voice. Money and fame truly can not buy happiness. Depression is real. He spoke about it in interviews and in his lyrics. But he had an amazing heart. R.I.P. Let's pray for his 6 children and wife, we know they're hurting as well.
Even after his 1 year anniversary. It still hurts . Watching u cry .. I cried with u .u have a deep appreciation of their music. Playing this song on that fateful day, was fitting for the emotions of all the Linkin Park fans felt. #MakeChesterProud
It's still hard accepting Chester and Chris Cornell passing away. I was 19 when I first heard Linkin Park in 2000, I remember buying the CD and a local record shop because the album cover looked cool, little did I realize I would have a connection so strong with the music.

I literally found out 23 minutes after it was announced, even though I wasn't the biggest linkin park fan, it was truly shocking. Rock definitely lost a beautiful singer and musician.
Thank you for this. Chester and Linkin Park have saved my life several times simply because they showed me that I wasn't alone in those feelings! I just wish I or someone else could have done that for him.
After years of supporting Chester and linkin park ,you sort of understand how much Chester wanted to go , over the years the songs they have released just listen to the lyrics . Just reading them makes me feel pain and that’s how Chester felt , some linkin park fans criticised the band for the most recent song heavy , because it was too “poppy” but the thing is IT DOESNT MATTER the only thing that matters is that it is written from the heart and that’s what Chester did! I understand if you feel this is wrong , but after being a linkin park fan for at least 8 years I feel like this is what I believe Thank you for reading 💓 RIP Chester Bennington You will always live in our hearts ⭐️☘️
* Tigg * MSP sorry to break your bubble but Mike Shinoda wrote 90% of the lyrics, we'll never know why he committed suicide but the most probable explanation is because his close friend Chris Cornell died.
On the album Numb's song writer is credited as "Linkin Park". I agree Mike Shinoda was the main creative force of Linkin Park but there was sure a collaborative effort. The vast majority of Linkin Park's early works were songs about feeling alone or depressed and Chester doesnt have to be the only one in the group to feel those emotions. Speaking of being too "poppy", I stopped listening to the band after Minutes to Midnight because they indeed went too pop and that's not what I'm into.
Please watch Linkin Parks "One More Light" It's the tribute video to Chester. Some of the last shows Chester did. Its a simply beautiful video. He was so close with his fans. I still miss him a lot.

Chester was my favourite singer of all time, The first album I ever got was for my 12th birthday and it was Linkin Park's first album - Hybrid Theory. I found out on the morning of my birthday that Chester had died, I've never had a hangover disappear so quick in my life. First time in a long time that I cried on my birthday :( R.I.P. Chester
I usually don't break down and cry easily but kinda giving a warning if you watch 'one more light' by linkin park, don't get me wrong it's a great song but I get emotional when I hear the lyrics.

Please watch Linkin Parks "One More Light" It's the tribute video to Chester. Some of the last shows Chester did. Its a simply beautiful video. He was so close with his fans. I still miss him a lot.
Oh my dear
Im 15 and i teared up to this vid rip chester but your like my internet grandpa cuz i dont rly have one but i love your vids keep up the good work and keep making me happy :')
I am afraid to react to this one because i KNOW I will break down badly.
It's great to see someone with such an understanding and great heart like you sir
