Love the fact you’re back!! Best of luck. I just pledged for the Titan box but just to have access to the pledge manager. I mostly play only with my wife. Do you think it makes any sense to pledge to these expansions, and if yes, which tier knowing we own the base game KS Exclusive Edition. Thanks
Awesome play through, and again reinforces that I need these expansions and big box. 😉 Note: It appears the nomadic expansion might be solving one problem from the base game but causing another. On one hand, I love the addition agency over the different types of contracts you can pursue. On the other hand not having the face up contracts ahead of time seems like it adds extra time to the decision space of a turn. Did you feel that way? Lastly, the nomad board (unlike the base game contract board) seems to lack the set up rules that requires any easier contracts cards to start with. Having played it, did that have any impact on your game experience?
Hey there! This is Frances, I’ll let Anthony follow up if he feels differently. Overall I liked not having the contract offer, and only seeing the contracts that came up each turn. In this mode, we found that things could change from turn to turn given the events and policies, so it was nice to focus on what we could accomplish from a smaller pool of contracts we knew matched our current situations. Thematically this represented a more micro-perspective. You are zipping around space and only the contracts in your vicinity are available. Everyone heard about them, but only those close enough to fly in an assist are eligible. Specially, this is much more thematic and actually cut down on AP because we were able to decide pretty quickly whether we wanted one of the three options, and whether we wanted help. I’d imagine with larger player counts it may cut down on negotiation too because not all players may be eligible to ally. Regarding the deck seeding, I don’t think it’s necessary to stack them with easier contracts first. Especially if you build in the head to head and flex contracts from overload, there’s a good amount you can do early game!
@@AntLabGames Hey Frances, yeah that makes sense. I forgot about the addition of flex contracts and content from other expansions. If that's indeed the counter balance for the set up rule change, then perhaps it will become common practice to pair these 2 expansions together. P.S. Seeing your little one reminds me how little mine used be. As exhausting as those early days are, they are some of my favorite memories. ;)
@@PatrickKerwin We wanted to show that this certainly stands on its own, but the overload and nomad expansions are brilliant together. You’re right, these are the best times (even though they are the most exhausting haha) Our two year old is going through a sleep regression and ear infection right now, so while the little guy is actually sleeping pretty well (4-6 hours), she’s up when he’s not. I’d say that’s why Harry bested us in this playthrough, but his victory was all his own. He is proof that these little ones grow up to be pretty cool (super smart) fellow gamers!
Great play through and looking forward to this one. The real question though, is the guitar in the background just for show, or will we one day get an AntLab Games duet performance? ;)
It’s been a pleasure and an honor. Looking forward to more games 😁
Great win Harrison!
Great job, Harrison!
Loved the playthrough, just when I thought I didn't need to back anymore games.
Great job Harrison! Congrats on your win!
The wit on the young one!
Haha yeah he’s every single bit of 16 years old 😝
@@AntLabGames Mine is 10 and I already understand lol
Thank you James
Love you guys! Regards from Poland.

At the very least I’d go for Nomad.
Greatest. Win. Ever. - Sit Down! LOL.
I need to now where this card tray is from. Love it! Also love the expansion
It’s from Boardgameboost on Etsy.
