You are the tops, Rabea. Thanks for the kind words!
Thank you guys! Love your stuff!
Walrus is putting out some amazing products . Hell just when I thought I had a great pedal board . Need your reverb and chorus pedals
I bought this pedal based on Rab's review. Just saying...😎
walrusaudioeffects would this be able to be played on a Fender Mustang V2 amp?
@@conan218 WHAT THE HELL WOULD YOU THINK WE THOUGHT YOU SAID IF YOU DIDNT SAY JUST SAYING?....WHEN YOU GROW UP AND LOOK BACK AT THIS YOU WILL REALIZE HOW GAY YOU SOUND
For some reason , I do tend to think that each time Rabea Massaad makes a video for a gear it is a quality sign , he doesn't do it because he has to but because he wants to and we can trust him when it comes to sound and gear ! I really love the way he introduces those products and the way he makes it sound huge ! His playing is really inspiring and he has managed to create his way of playing like no one else could do !
First gear demo I've watched of Rabea's. Very impressed! Outstanding job showing the sounds and tweakability.
AAAANNND...I just ordered one. They should pay you commission! 😂
Always great to hear Bea play ambient stuff.
That moment when you come to these reviews just to hear your favorite guitarist play.
Damn, since i've gotten to know Bea's music better. My playing style changed so much because of him. Thanks, Bea! Lots of love!
Rabea' clear and in depth explanation of the gear he's reviewing is second to none.
Seriously you reviewed the hell out of that pedal and after the 32 seconds it took me to realise I wanted one I was truly horrified to find out it's not available yet!!
Your musicisum course has immensely helped me, I have private lessons but genuinely in the first week of the course I've made the most amount of progress ever with guitar. I could wish to play like you or any of my guitar heroes but now I feel like I'm on the correct path and escaped a rut
Love the sock dude..... :)
Andertons Music Co how are you guys not verified yet
That low/high octave reverb adds such an amazing ambient to the sound. Damn!
I could listen to Rabea play ambient stuff all day
I was thinking that having mod as a switch instead of a knob would be limiting, but Walrus really nailed it.
Hey rabea, since ur into prog metal, could u do a video about time signature and ho to use it ? Thx for all ur content ;)
I'll give you some basics. In 4/4, the first four is the number of beats (one two three four) while the second number is if you're going by quarter notes, eighth notes, sixteenths, etc. 4/4 and 4/8 don't sound any different, I just use it as "are the drum hi hats hitting quarter notes, or what."
If you take the signature 7/4 like in the song Money by Piink Floyd, each measure as seven beats to it before the next. Where the four comes in, he's hitting the hat on every beat, instead of as one-and-two-and-three and so on. And that's pretty much the basics of it. I'm no time signature master so if I screwed something up then my bad, but, at the end of the day practicing odd time signatures is a lot like practicing common time (4/4); you gotta practice it to a metronome :P
yeah, would be a good idea ;)

Some really emotional riffs and chords in there Bea as always. Love your play style! Making that guitar weep between your fingers, such a beautiful sound.
I’m a reverb fanatic. I need this.
Outstanding demo! Ordering one right now!
Wow Rabea, beautiful demo! Love how it combines with the ARP-87. This pedal is already on my "to get" list and will accompany my ARP-87 very well.
I allways get excited when you release something possible of ambient soundscapes, so sweet!
the intro hypnotised me i woke up at the end at the video and buyed one idk why ^^
Oh man!!! Sold on just that octave setting. Especially the low!!! Take my money!!!
Same as another comment, I also purchased this pedal after this video. I feel like theres so many realms to explore every time I use this thing. I can use beautiful reverb on my jazzy stuff and also ambient sounds when I am feeing Dream pop-ish. It dose everything. The packaging is great, the foot switches are soft and I sometimes just hold the pedal in my hand because it' so damn pretty.
I wonder how this would pair with the Keeley caverns reverb v2
the sustain part sounds amazing
This is right up my alley. Time to start saving.
15:55 makes me feel like you should be the guitarist for Mogwai. You rock brother.
Wtf, why would anyone dislike these videos, they have like, nothing anyone wouldnt like. Theres no point. And who could hate Rabea???
16min mark (and other spots before too), totally a Tesseract vibe. Awesome sounding pedal.
I loved this demo! That fuzz with the reverb just sounded huge and amazing. Rabea is probably my favorite guitarist for beautiful ambient stuff besides Devin Townsend. Definitely looking forward to more Toska whenever that comes.
I was already interested into buying this one , like 99.99% sure , you gave me the extra 0.01% that made me want to buy one !
Although I already got an Ocean Machine from Mooer (and Am satisfied with it) I still need this one for the extra ambiant stuff (sonar is huge and is what I look for !)
Great Review and thanks to Walrusaudio for making this one !
Dude i love how you play; it's so close to my style, effects and everything. Walrus Audio strikes again!
I can see those pedals being used in a sounds like Toska/Dorje/Rabea video.
Vassilis Papathanasiou if they do I'm sure they can't do it without busting the bank guitar plus amp is way over $1500 no speakers no pedals yet !
Easy fix! Chapman ML-3 Standard($400), Boss Katana 100, super versatile, built in FX, preset switching, etc.($350), a Boss MS-3, channel switching/preset switching, built in FX($400). With $350 leftover, some dedicated pedals.. OR a second amp to go stereo!
Just got the fathom/arp 87 combo pedal. Your overview here is super helpful, thanks.
Love the full, rich tones of the Fathom. I will be purchasing one straight away. Very inspiring.
You are such a gifted musician and I love your video's. Always insightful and you bring a musical approach. I just got an ARP-87 and it is so good that encouraged me to check into the Fathom. After hearing your demo, I'm going to add one to my board!
I saw two videos on this amazing pedal, one on Walrus Audio's website and yours and I can say with absolute certainty that you have officially made me want to get this. You are an amazing musician and I love your reviews of stuff. My girlfriend loves your stuff, too because of your love of ambient tones, she can watch your videos all day long. Speaking of which, she and I were wondering if there may be a chance if you could do a demo of the PRS Mark Tremonti amp at some point? We like how it sounds but would like to hear what you can do with it, thanks to your wide range of test playing.
Thanks and keep up the amazing work and keep being such an inspiration to many :)
I don’t need another reverb pedal...but, this demo has sold me on this product! Thanks!
Came for the Fathom demo, moved to buying Toska - Ode from iTunes and found a song that is mesmerizing: Illumo and ended up as a Subscriber ...Nice journey!!!
🥰 gets u in the feels everytime I here Rabea play some juuuuciy ambient tones
makes me hyped for the new toska album
Rabea, your demos are great! I love the clean tones that you get! Maybe you could demo the Source Audio Collider (delay+reverb) sometime, that would be awesome!
I’m liking the sounds of this one!! Thanks Rabea!
I'd love to hear a solo ambient album from you Bea (or any solo album tbh)
Julian Leske please!
I'd love an instrumental ambient Bea album to listen to as well
Hi Rabea, I could listen to you play all day! Some of the sounds you get from this pedal reminded me of listening to the Vangelis soundtrack to the original Blade Runner. Simply awesome.
man rabea's playing is so inspiring!
I literally just bought this pedal after watching this! Holy crap man!!!
Hey Nick, Bea did also a demo of Slö, so how did you decide to run4 this one? I am stil thinking - I like both yet cant decide. I am playing both prog/ambiental stuff yet from time2time I tend to stray into more comercial music as well, so I need one tool for both and Strymon is far above my needs and $... Any thoughts?
The lo-fi suprised me. Way it reacted when you smacked it... killer. Wasn't expecting something usable. That is.
Thank you thank you thank you for your awesome demos/reviews. YES.
"Well there you go..."
I feel like this says everything that needs to be said.
Well I’m going to have to get both pedals now.
Ordered mine :D and veeeerry happy with it!!! Thanks for the review, Rabea!
Sounds great. Just got it today and am plugging in now. Thanks.
Damn you Walrus Audio. Stop making freakin awesome pedals.
I have the Julia and that is my favorite chorus/vibe pedal. takes me back to my JC120 amp. Thanks for the great review
Sounds groovy. To hear it with new Toska music would be nice. Got the album. Inspirational.
Amazing playing Babea! And what an awesome pedal! Can’t wait to get my hands on one and try it out! I have a Decent and my next reverb to pair with it was going to be the Reverb by Empress but I think that is subject to change because of this amazing pedal! Thanks again for all the great content!
I like the pedal. One could make A LOT of great sounds with this.
Damn man. I could listen to this for hours while working from home. Just always on. Lovely
Great demo of an awesome pedal; especially combined with the ARP-87
Wow great sounding pedal love the sustained switch that gives it more playing abilities and it’s in Reba hands makes it sound so good and shows what you can do with a big 👍🏻 from me when I get better on the guitar I will be investing in one without a doubt
This is a pedal to get lost in...
I have to agree with your comments at the very end: Walrus pedals seem to have that special mojo I listen for. I'm definitely ordering either the Fathom or the Slo. Still not sure which. Great demo, as usual. Keep up the good work!
Great product walrusaudio!! really good review done by Rabea. I really dig this pedal!!!
Really good, well informed & honest video. Thank you dude
I come back like once a month just to listen to this part 15:55
One day I'm gonna own this beauty myself :D
I love the pedal. It’s the best Reverb I’ve ever owned. It gives me vibes of diving deep underwater, which is probably why it’s called “Fathom”.
Rabz neglected to mention,
He *definitely* LOVES to demo stuff.
Who couldn’t?
Nice to hear a demo without the crazy modulation, sounds like a cool pedal
Rabea + The pedal Zone guy (I dont know his name...) are the best playing pedal demos!!!
Hernán Vásquez ...Stefan Fast, and yes!
Such incredible ambient sounds! Beautiful!
Some of that was very Tesseracty. Nice playing, nice pedal.
Awesome video, man! I would be very interesting to see a comparison between the Fathom and the Descent 😁
Oh god, it's amazing...
Great demo! (All of of yours are, Rabea!) Having a hard time deciding between this and the Strymon Flint. Very different pedals, but the main need is for a good, beautiful, somewhat tweakable reverb. The 70's/80's reverb on the Flint still sounds to me like the best/most natural and harmonically rich "basic" reverb to me. But I doubt I'd use the tremelo much. The Fathom also sounds gorgeous in a maybe more "spacy"way than the Flint, and has some awesome effects, but not being into ambient much, not sure if I'd use them or ever grow into them. Love that sonar mode, but may also get an pitch shifter/splitter so not sure it's needed. Decisions! Any thoughts appreciated (especially if you've been able to compare the Flint...)
The old blood noise endeavors procession reverb looks cool. I’d love to see your take on it
That intro was awesome!
That clean tone is really excellent already man
At least 5
demos of this pedal today by various you tubers. a coordinated release.
Holy shit that was wicked. Amazing pedal and amazing playing!
REALLY liking the lo-fi sound.
God, that was so nice ! Tell me Rabea, is it your prototype guitar signature model with Floyd rose ? Or a futur model ?
Concisely explained Rabea!
Great demo! Def a great pedal to have in your arsenal. Hope to catch you at NAMM 👊🏻🎸
That intro was so cool
Sounds awesome! This is now on my wish list along with the arp 87, I have an iron horse already and I rather enjoy it
Hell's Bells. That sounds awesome. Love it.

'm dying for some new music!
at 15:10 what a great sound !!!
Could anyone tell me what scale(s) Rabea is playing around with at 5:30?
so cool, its 112 dollars on musicians friend rn, and its the platinum color
First ten seconds sold me on this one.
sweet reverb. Good playing, too.
Got halfway thru and had to buy one.
Damn i stopped watching and slept away for a second or two with a feeling of pure joy. I need that pedal. And that Bea. Please play in my bedroom Bea.

Epic intro
Thats one fantastic pedal
Adam B the player makes the pedal great.
Nice Bea!! Sounds Great!
Awesome sounding ambient stuff! It may be a great peddle, but it takes talent ot make it sound like that
So.. How about a mess around video with that Moog in the background? ;)
what a dreamy combination and wicked playing :)
random question: what studio monitors are you using, or can you recommend some good ones to start with?
