Thank you so much! This has been the best Photoshop tutorial because everything is explained clearly and in a pace which can be followed easily. I learned not only the technique but some tools along the way.
Hi Marty, Awesome Top Class tutorial as always, I've seen pretty much all of your Tuts and learnt a lot of PS tricks. My knowledge is 100% more since I've been watching your tuts. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your expertise and putting me back in the running for some cool design work. Best wishes to the best.
Martin, at 6.45 minutes of your tut, you are talking about reveal the middle subject. Ok, I do understand the word reveal, but I do not know how to do that. I still see the left red arm of the right Elvis through the face of Elvis in the middle. So, the point 'reveal' is bordering me by not knowing how and what to reveal. I have tried many ways, but I still can not solve the problem. Again Martin, thanks in advance for your support. Regards, Paul
- Your Lesson reproduces very accurately step by step, where everything is clear. - This is different from many trainings' techniques in the Photoshop Eco-Environment. - The Palette of Layers is cool! - How to Make a Smart Object! - Thanks. 🍒🍔🍕🫖🍷🎨💰🙏
On CS2, the Smart Object has be rasterized. How do you get around this? Because later you get to the part where you chose the color of the item and the whole layer gets blacked out. Any ideas.
I have done almost every one of your amazing tutorials and they're all great. This is the first time I hit a snag while trying it. At 4:26 when you transformed the image, I noticed the top "stained paper" layer disappears. When I transform my image it does not do that. It transforms, but the top stained paper layer remains at the top. I can't see in the video why the top "stained paper" disappears after you transformed the subject photo. Did you combine the two files together? Thanks again Marty
+TecmoBO34 The stained paper isn't visible, but it's still there. It's just a jump cut in post production. Sorry for the confusion. The Layers panel just slid up. (Notice the panel slider on the right slid down.) If I were to open up the Layers panel, you'd see the stained paper.
Martin, at 6.45 you are talking about reveal the middle subject. Ok, I do understand the word reveal, but I do not see ny change of the richt subject going the back so to speak. In my case the red arm is still in the face of the middle subject. How to resolve this? Awainting your answer, thanks in advace. Paul
Hi Marty. At first, please soory for my poor english. I have one question for you. How to remove details in objest for better perspective? I mean the same object at different distances without blur. Thank you very much for your answer and wish you a nice day
+Phyllis ArtToArt Directly below the title of the video is the video description. The link is at the top. Click "Show More" and scroll down. You will see the link.
+Blue Lightning TV .... Thanks - but I'm still not seeing it - there are many, many links there including a link to Part 2 - but I can't see any mention of Photoshop for $7.99??? the price online is $9.99 monthly for PS plus Lightroom.

can anyone answer this why did he convert the elvis pic into a smart object and not just make a selection around it and move it to the target document??
1) Go to the bottom subject's layer mask and Ctrl-click it to select its shape. 2) Go to the top subject's layer mask and click it to make it active. 3) Make sure your foreground color is black. 4) Press Alt + Delete to fill the active selection with black. 5) Press Ctrl or Cmd + D to delete the selection.

Hi,
when i double click the layer at the start, i only have small box with few options. Is there another way?

hey can i know why is the link to the letterpress is no longer working? :(
I updated the links. 👍
when i open the file it only has the stained background
Download it. There are 3 layers in the PSD document: the stained paper, a texture and the frame shape.
I tried but I can't do the last part, after clicking Alt+Delete, it just filled the selection red but not black. Can anyone help me?
Either you have the quick mask turned on or your foreground / background colors aren't black and white.
your psd file is not working. But i love the video
I just checked the link on my end and it works fine. Try a different Browser.
The zip archive for the PSD is corrupted. Any other links please?
Thanks for alerting me. I replaced the link and it's working.
Thank you!
can someone help me? when I want to put solid color it changes all the images like the background too, and I don't know why:(
I mean that everything turn black if I put solid color, and I don't get it bc I follow the step of the smart object :(
